I'm extremely impressed with this cap! Las Vegas summers can be brutally hot and most other caps I've tried lack ventilation and make me feel even hotter. However, I am bald and must wear protection in the sun. The Swift Cap's ingenious design is extremely lightweight and allows for airflow over the sides and top of the head! The design is similar to a camping tent with mesh at the top for airflow, covered by a solid sheet of material for sun protection. Other lightweight cycling caps I've tried will often have ventilation on the sides only and cause perspiration on the top of my head and brow. With the Swift Cap, I only feel the breeze! The interior headband is soft and wicks away moisture well and the size adjustment clasp on the back is easy to use. The overall construction appears excellent. I've had this cap for only a month so far, but it looks as though it will last through heavy wear. I would have preferred the manufacturer had not placed their logo dead center on the front, but the logo itself and colors are unobtrusive and the overall look is sporty and smart. Any styling preferences are outweighed by the cap's clever design. Ultimately, the cap conforms to the head and fits me well. I purchased both the khaki and black hats and have been wearing them almost exclusively. Two thumbs up to a great design!

This is honestly the best hat I've ever worn. Even after a long, sweaty day I find that I'm not itching to get the hat off my head like I am with so many others I have tried. I primarily use this hat for hiking and backpacking where it has been excellent. It wicks sweat well, drys quick, and remains comfortable all day. The fit is secure without uncomfortable pressure points and has remained snugly atop my head through vigorous activity. Like all ball cap style hats, a strong gust of wind will knock it loose, but through everything else it remains in place.

Outdoor Research made the perfect hat. For those who want a ball cap that is super light and cool, this is it. I tested it all summer and it performed great. You can even feel a breeze going through the mesh. I always found the cloth hats to heavy and hot. This hat gets around those problems. I forget I’m even wearing it. I only wish they came in more colors.

The swift cap is a prefect kite. Be careful not to lose it on a windy day.

Perfect hat for trail running, paddling or ultra distance adventures. Fits great and adds shade and protection from the sun.

I purchased this hat for a vacation to Anguilla because I needed a hat that could handle getting wet while providing shade and ventilation. It performed well and provided much-needed ventilation. I also liked that it traveled well since it is so unstructured. I found it to be very comfortable, as well. Great hat.

Great fitting stylish cap, my husband loved how his head stayed cool thanks to the vented panels. Black and tan gives it a sharper look than an ordinary baseball cap.

I love this has for active sports because it is very breathable and extremely light weight. I would give it a five star rating if the buckle would stop coming undone (when off your your head).

These hats are good for the summer, especially if youre prone to sweating a lot. They are very lightweight

I use these hats for ultra running hiking, marathons (I own 3 of them). They were great until all three had massive bill crooked set in. I hand washed them too. Now one side of the bill curves way down making me look like Gomer Pyle. I'd never wear them to a race now, but for just training they are ok. I really love the hats when they are not all crooked. I have a Nike hat that has been machine washed hundreds of times and the bill is still straight as when I bought it.

I really like the comfort and fit of this hat but the bill was sewn on crooked. I noticed other reviewers making the same comment. I've been buying OR products for years and have always been happy with the quality but my last two purchases tell a different story. Not sure what's going on with OR quality control but the last two products I have purchased have had defects.

Bought one of these that developed a problem and OR replaced it under warranty. Painless and prompt resolution and I am tickled pink. The quality of these things is top drawer and the fact that it is SPF40 is an added bonus. I get a constant stream of looks and comments on this hat, and I may buy another one in anticipation of the day it finally wears out. Great product, great company.

I Love this hat! I forgot a hat on our vacationto Maine in July, and purchased this at an outdoor store in Bar Harbor and am so pleased with it, its lightweight , breathable and super comfortable. I have a smallish noggin and most unisex hats are too big and slide down my forehead,. Previously , with other hats, Wearing sunglasses only complicated things further bc they push the brim of the hat up and then it blows off my head. if there's the tiniest bit of a breeze , the only thing that holds it on is my ponytail or messy bun . However , No worries with this hat , it hasn't blown off my head once and I can wear sunglasses comfortably with it. Buying a second one today to keep at our beach home, so I'm not bringing my original one back and forth.

I love the hat. I tried wetting the band and it does feel cooler to the forehead. Much cooler than traditional hat.

I love my Outdoor Research hats. I own four of them and use them for all my outdoor activities (biking, running, hanging out in the pool).

This lightweight had is super lightweight and breathes to keep you cool while protecting you from the sun. Love it!

Gave it a test run with 8 days in the White Mountains - kept sweat out of my face, kept my head cool, washed out easy (both in stream and washing machine) and maintained its shape. Can't speak to it's longevity just yet, but made a very good first impression.

Very comfortable cap; nice bill which protects from bright sunlight. I like the Green color.

Great fitting, light weight hats.

Great hat! Lightweight, fits securely, bill shades face well, and can stand up to numerous washings! I bought white and immediately got it dirty. It took a couple washings, a couple pre-treatments with Zout, and some hand scrubbings and survived all that just beautifully and looks as good as new! Kept its shape and the fabric didn't blink. My husband has it in the neon green. Best hat ever!

Wear it while hiking.

Because I like them so much, I have two of these OR "Swift" caps. They are light weight. They do well in keeping my noggin protected from the sun. And these Swift caps are breathable so my head doesn't overheat. I sweat like crazy and my sweat has left some stains on this cap, but you can't see them unless you're up very close. Finally, this cap takes a beating. I've taken it on long multi-day hikes and sometimes I end up cramming it into the mesh pocket of my pack. It always comes out fine. It even stands up well to numerous washings.
