Keens are remarkable but there is one odd issue with these: the insole has a ridge running around it that, after a while, hurts.

I'm a nurse. On my feet all day. These shoes work well. They are decent looking and reasonably comfortable. Keen can call them dress shoes all they want, and they are a step up from athletic shoes, but don't be fooled... you won't wear these with a dress suit or a nice shirt and tie. Overall, I'm pleased with them and very happy with the Zappos shipping and shopping experience.

I bought these a few weeks ago after having had a pair of Keen. I really liked the wide toe box that fits my wide foot much more naturally than other shoes. I manage a restaurant and am on my feet for hours at a time. These shoes fit great, are extremely comfortable and so far are holding up well. The non-slip sole is adequate, but not nearly slip-resistant as Shoes for Crews. The big test for me, will be long-term comfort and durability. My Shoes for Crews would blow out in 6 to 9 months, so if these can last even 9 months to a year, they would be worth the additional price.

I've worn the Keen Utility PTC Oxford a few times now for work, and it's a great piece of footwear. I teach at a university, I bicycle to/from work each day, and the Keen Utility is light enough and rugged enough to take all kinds of conditions, hot, cold, or wet. The leather upper was softer and more supple than I'd imagined it would be from the Zappos images. It's bendy yet tough. This shoe is taller than it looks in the photos, but not uncomfortably so. (The heel's thicker than it looks.) I'm confident that I'll get at least a year or more out of this shoe.

These are well built and very comfortable work shoes. Do not be fooled by the Dress Oxford label, unless you routinely wear shoes shaped like a potato to weddings.

The shoes fit well and provide very nice comfort, but with every step the leather uppers squeak. At first I thought it was the soles squeaking on the floor surface, but when I walked on carpet & still heard the squeaking I proved that it was the upper part of both shoes. If I attempt to walk indoors, everyone can hear me squeaking my way through. I am in the 2nd week of wearing these and I will continue to wear them & find out if the squeaking will subside.

Loved the shoes initially. Very comfortable that inside back part by the heel wore out very quickly, and tore. My last two pairs of keens have done this. Love keens, and have bought them for about 10 years, usually they last me about a year as I am on my feel all day. The last 2 pairs have only lasted 8-9 months. At $125 a pop I would hope I could at least get a year out of them.

Great comfortable shoes, however, the glue that holds them together came apart within 60 days.

I recently started working full-time at a restaurant and I really needed to upgrade my shoes. I ended up buying these and they felt great for a few days, but then I started to get these blood blisters on the backs of my heels. I pretty much just can't wear them anymore because I'll consistently get those blisters.

I love keen. I have been buying their shoes for about the last 15 years. I work retail and on concrete for the last 26 years. So this was recommended to me by my podiatrist.
The quality had gone really downhill. A shoe that costs $110-$125 used to last me a year. Now only getting about 8 months out of them and that is with buying a replacement insole.
When the shoes are new they are great! Just disappointed that I spend this kind of money and they don’t even last a year. The inside of the shoe now falls apart before the outside. Probably going to check out redwings after this pair. Will last me much longer and after a couple of years probably save me money.

The dye from the inside of the shoes came off all over the bottoms of my socks. I tried wearing them again, but the same thing happened. Unacceptable.

Worst work shoes ever. Period. I've spent more than 10 years working as a waiter. Working two jobs for most of that time. So I've gone through a lot of shoes. These things beat the hell out of my feet. They hurt in places I've never had my feet hurt before. In the store they felt great, a little snug here and there but nothing unusual. They just needed breaking in. Well fast forward a few weeks and those snug spots were gone but a whole host of problems emerged. First there are these two dime sized spots right where the ball of my foot starts to slope into my arch, just putting on these shoes triggers pain. The bones on the outside of my feet hurt. I have to keep these laced so loosely that the laces are barely keeping the shoes on my feet. If I tie these shoes even a tiny bit too tight, various parts of my feet will go numb from blood restriction. I've tried several different insoles and they all relive one spot of pain but trigger another. So I'm down to swapping out insoles every day just to even out the pain. When I work long or double shifts I'm limping by the end of my day. I can't express my disappointment in these shoes enough. I love Keens hiking boots. So I was stoked when I saw they made a non slip work shoe. I thought, Yes! My prayers have been answered. A shoe that's not going to break down and fall apart in 3 months. Just like every Payless/Walmart/Shoes for Crews shoe I've ever bought.

I have rheumatoid arthritis in my feet and need an extra large toe box because my toes are deformed. I have a lot of foot pain and it is difficult to walk no matter what shoes I wear. I worked as a retail food service supervisor for 4 years, and these were the absolute best pair of shoes I had. They were sturdy and comfortable right out of the box. After I wore them awhile, I personally had to get a gel insert from REI because I needed more cushion, but the factory insert is probably fine for most people. I am going to be going back to school in the fall, and am going to order another pair of these just because they worked so well. Have been trying to talk my boss into getting a pair also, but he is still trying to get away with something cheaper. You know bosses. I would recommend these to anyone who wants a comfortable pair of work shoes or everyday shoes as well.

I am very happy with these shoes. After about a month they are comfortable, so far durable, and very slip resistant. I hope they keep making them as I will purchase them again when these wear out.

Great support. Excellent traction on slippery floors. Shoe is a normal weight. Has helped up well for the last 3 weeks. I am a working rgm in a busy restaurant. Feels good and looks like all leather.

It took my feet a few days to get used to being back in a shoe (I've worn clogs for years). These are by far the best shoes I have owned for work yet (long days in a convention center kitchen) my feet rarely are sore and there is no rush to get them off my feet at the end of the day. The foot bed is springy and the rest of the shoe just hugs your foot. I found it to be true to size. Matched with some Keen socks make for the happiest feet ever. Thanks Zappos for the usual great service.

These are the best all around walking shoes that I have worn. They fit like a glove and the soles give grip on every surface I have tried, including wet rocks.

Best work shoes I have ever worn hands down. Keep my feet comfy all day and the best part is my back never hurts anymore. By the way I work in a restaurant and stand for 15 hours on end. Very happy with my purchase. :)

These took a few days to break in. But they are among the most comfortable shoes that I have ever owned. As a chef, I stand on my feet more than 10 hours a day, so these shoes are a big relief for my achy feet.

Great shoes. I’ve bought two pairs. Be aware that if you wear them a few times a week the interior will start falling apart in less than a year.

I like the look of these shoes - the sleek black design with no detailing really appeals to me. However, this is the first time I've tried Utility Keens, and I am not happy with the fit. I wore them for about a week, and just could not adapt to them. The soles are very stiff, and the construction is more narrow than others - which doesn't lend itself well to the wide-footed oafs like me. I figured they would loosen up after a week of wear, but they have not, and I am returning these to exchange for something in the non-Utility line (absolutely love my Finlays - wish they made them black).

Felt different right when I put them on. I've been buying Keen's for years and this Keen Utility Dress Oxford was my "Go To" shoe for work. I had a variation a few years back that was a low boot and loved it!!! I wore right through the sole I wore it so much. They don't make it anymore and I can see why, they were too good. Got the Dress Oxford after the boot and had good luck. Wore those a few years until they finally gave way. Ordered a few different brands from Zappo's that were similar and the Oxfords to compare on the next time around. Tried them all on and nothing compared to the Keen Oxfords for my foot so everything still good. A couple years later the leather wore through because I wear them so much. So of course, I order another pair from Zappo's (because they're GREAT!!!). Right out of the box they felt a little differnt. Stiffer than I remember and almost had me wondering if they were'nt leather, just not right. Anyway, I ordered them on 3/20/20, recieved them on 3/23 (weekend slowed things down), and today, 4/7/20 I noticed that the sole is seperating from the leather upper. I went back over my work schedule and added up the days I worked (I only wear them to work), 11 days!!! 11 days until they started coming apart!!! That's just sad. As much as I like the shoe I would say to look at other brands. Keen has lost their touch. I remember the first Keen's I had way back, lasted a long time, zero issues. Having worn Keen's for years I can see the gradual decline in quarlity. KEEN, if you're listening, I'll be looking elswhere.

I have a high opinion of Keen shoes, or at least I did until I bought these. The first pair I bought turned out to be the squeakiest pair of shoes I have ever owned. It was as if the shoes themselves were defective, or made in China or something. I wore them for a month thinking they would break in but the squeaking only got worse. You could hear me coming down the hall thirty yards away they crunched so badly. I wound up returning them for another pair still thinking this was just a defective pair. When the second pair arrived they were exactly the same as the first. Although the shoes fit fine and are comfortable, they squeak so badly they are embarrassing to wear. I would still consider buying Keen shoes because they usually produce high quality stuff but this particular pair is a lemon. I won't buy any Keen shoes sight unseen anymore or before I try them on based on this bad experience. If you are considering buying these, I would say to think twice about it or go to a store where you can try them on first. No reflection on Zappos. They were awesome to work with to solve my problems. I just think that Keen put out a bad lot on this particular style and, unless you don't mind wearing squeaky shoes, you are going to be disappointed. Although I like the style, it's hard to give them more than a 1 when 'style' includes incessant squeaking every time you move your foot.
