These look really comfortable...however, I was expecting the soles to be stiffer like boot, like all the other Keen Utility shoes I own. These soles are not stiff enough and bend through arch, which for me personally is not wearable as it causes plantar fasciitis. Others may not have issue, this is how most shoes are these days.

These shoes are comfortable and do what they say, but for the price they have only lasted me 6 months and are coming apart. When I got them first thing I did was treat them with water resistant shoe polish. I work in a kitchen that does not have a lot of grease and we do not use a lot of harsh chemicals, due to the lack of grease! I am pretty good about keeping them clean after work so my dog does not feel the need to lick them when he gets home. I do work 12 - 15 hour days so a comfortable pair of shoes is key, and these started out that way but as I said it has only been 5 or six months since I bought them and they already are coming apart, the sole is worn out, they leak water and I can sometimes see my sock. I feel I should get a least a year out of a pair of shoes at this price!

I have been wearing Keen shoes for years but the last two models I have tried to replace have been unsatisfactory. The main problem is the leather is much more stiff and they seem to have changed the shape of the tongue at the instep. Keen shoes used to be comfortable the moment I wore them, these new models are now painful.

These looked nice but the right shoe had a spot that would pinch and after one day I had a bruise on my big toe. I thought they just needed to break in so I tried them again the next and after just a few steps couldn’t handle the pain so I had to return these as defective.

I got these shoes in July and was happy with them until November when I noticed that they felt strange. It turned out that the leather that covers that padded part in the back had split open and the padding was coming out. It was so annoying when I had them on, that I just stopped wearing them. Too bad. There were great for a couple of months.

I am a big fan of Keen Voyageur and am on my second pair. I need a shoe for work and not really a hiking shoe, and after some research thought these would be a good fit. But I was wrong, dead wrong. I felt they had very little cushioning, felt wierd in the fore foot, were tight against my ankle, and were hot as hell. I am on my feet for at least 8 hours a day in warehouse that is not air conditioned in south Texas, so comfort and breathability are very inportant. I guess I will be sticking with Voyageur.

I have had this shoe for about 3 months now. They fit good and work well. The bad thing is they are falling a part. The soles are breaking away from the shoe. For the money I spent on them I hoped they would at least hold together. I will not be buying this brand again. Unless they were 50 buck or less.

Solid shoe, but.... There is a seam on the back (Achilles) area that rubs against the foot relentlessly. I am a chef in a very busy restaurant and work 10 to 12 hours a day. That small section of discomfort is a deal breaker. Had to send them back. Maybe I just got some duds. In any event, I still love Zappos!

Very uncomfortable. Did not fit properly. Hurt to walk in them. Could not wear them at all. Returned immediately. I don't know about other Keens, but this one is awful.

Sewn ridges on the inside of the shoe, just above the small toe, are extremely uncomfortable.

Nice and comfortable shoe. I personally didn't like the "wide" fit. Every time I looked at my feet I felt like I was wearing clown shoes. They definitely look better in the listing online than they look once delivered. I was disappointed and sent them back.

The first time I bought these shoes, the quality was superb for professional kitchen work. They wore out, and I just recently tried to replace them with an identical pair from Zappos, and the quality of the newer pair wasn't even close. I thought there was a mistake, so I ordered a pair from another company, and those were junk too. I'm not sure what Keen is doing, but these shoes used to be wonderful. My old pair from a couple years ago had high quality fairly supple black leather, and the new ones don't even look like leather; I mean maybe they're technically leather based on whatever the industry definition is, but it looks like plastic junk. The new fabric liner was made using lower quality textiles than my original pair, and the inside fabric was already starting to unravel in a couple tiny spots, fresh out of the box. I noticed that my original pair was manufactured in China, but the newer ones I received were manufactured in a different Southeast Asian country (I think it was either Cambodia or Vietnam), and it appears that since production on this shoe was moved, the quality took a major hit. My original pair of these shoes (Chinese made) were about $150 when I bought them. Now I see that the price has gone down to $115 after production was moved to another country and quality was lowered. Personally, I'd be happy to pay $200 if Keen moved production to the USA for this model, and brought it in line with what I'd expect from a brand of this name. I'm afraid it looks like a great shoe company is beginning to take the route of selling out, and jump to cost cutting measures that severely harm the quality of their products. A few people I worked with bought these shoes after hearing my glowing recommendation, but I'm not sure I'd be willing to try or recommend another Keen product again after my most recent experience with these shoes.

Had a defective right shoe twice in a a row. Faulty sewing and folding of the integrated tongue, which is a new design change.

I had worn these for years, but Keen recently changed the fit of the shoes. They are now looser, and Keen also reduced the padding on the footbed so that it now feels like you're walking on two slabs of hard rubber. Hope you are listening Keen - please revert back to the old manufacturing style of this shoe.

I work in a large resort hotel and have always used the cheap non-slip shoes from WalMart (tread safe), I figured I'd give these a try thinking they'd last a while longer. The cheap shoes from Walmart have never caused me to slip whether they were brand new or long broken in; these shoes have caused my feet to come right out from beneath me two times in 1 month, once while new and the other while broken in - they simply aren't very good. They're comfortable and look nice, but they don't actually do the job. Buy Tread Safe or Dr. Scholls work shoes and save yourself the extra money, while also never having any issue with slipping. I'll be giving these Keen shoes away to the first homeless person I walk by the next time I walk to my vehicle.

Purchased a pair of the Keen Oxford non-slips for work in June 2014. These shoes, sadly, lasted 4 months before the back inside heel cup shredded. Here is my breakdown on the shoe. Exterior: The leather on these shoes is durable and of the quality you would expect from Keen. The leather is thick and in 4 months shows no signs of wear and tear after working in them 4 days a week for 10 hours per day serving food and bartending. Soles: Non-slip on these are fantastic. The only floor they don't stick to is the dish-pit after the cooks de-grease the vent hood's above the fryer. Comfort: The first 3 days I wore these shoes they felt quite stiff. After that they have been the most comfortable shoes I have had for serving food. I put gel heal cups and gel insoles in them over the insoles that Keen put in them. Can't stress how well these fit and how comfortable they were. Interior: Fail. So sad, with all the other features of these shoes going great the interior failed. 2 months into wearing them I started to notice the fabric on the heal up pilling excessively. 3 months in holes started to appear and now at 4 months the shoes have worn through. I took them into a cobbler and he said next time bring in my new pair & he could sew in a leather backing for $20. My recommendation is, buy these shoes but take them in immediately to a cobbler for leather heel covers. Finally, Keen if you're out there; why build logger tough shoes on the exterior with interiors as fragile as fine china?

I have been buying Keens for years now. In fact, across the years I have had 3 previous pairs of this shoe in the size I ordered. But, this one is considerably smaller than this size was in Keens a year or two ago. In addition, the shoe seems to have a manufacturing defect on the inside near the toe box under the insole insert. The bottom of the liner is peeling away and/or folded. This pushed the insole up and with it your toe straight into the toe box, making the shoe feel much smaller than it is. If you were to rip out the liner and put the insole back, the shoe would work fine. But, I am unwilling to do that with a brand new pair of shoes. I have always trusted the quality of Keens, but now I am beginning to wonder if they are starting to cur corners in the manufacturing process. I will be returning the shoes and looking for a new brand of shoe to trust. Very disappointing.
