Went up a size and they fit my wide feet well with the mesh outsides (usually wear a 13-13.5 EE and got these in 14), just a little loose in the front due to being slightly larger size to accommodate the width I need. Overall the shoes are doing well, fine without socks or with the no-show hidden socks if I'm going to be indoors with a/c. I like that these are hybrid types of shoes they feel light and airy like my sandals but with the covered toes if I'm doing a lot of walking in parks and roads since I live in an urban downtown area. Will be throwing these in my travel bag as well as the lack of heavy materials on the top means they compress really well.

My first Keen shoe. They feel so comfortable that I bought a Keen sandal next. I plan to try running in this shoe as the lower heel makes for a more natural running position. A great runner I know swears by running in Keen shoes. He says they last many more miles than running shoes.

For heavy river use, I switched to the Keen McKenzie when Merrell's redesign of the once great Manistee Pro turned out to be an utter failure. The McKenzie is not as good as the original Manistee Pro, but is much better than the current Merrell offering. Keen Pros: Excellent toe box: Keen bucks the ballerina toe trend and offers a shoe for users with 5 toes on each foot. Decent support: able to scamper and climb over river rock with surefooted-ness. Grip on wet terrain is acceptable. Acceptable, not great. Laces: while needlessly long, are actual lace material, not the typical do-nothing bungee cord laces found on other water shoes. Fold down heel: nice to be able to just slip these on when around camp. Keen cons: They stink: After several years of water use with my Manistee Pro's they still smelled new. The McKenzie's stink after just a few uses. I blame the cheap foot bed insert which appears to optimized for cost, not quality. Inserts: Water shoes should not come with footbed inserts. Keen can do it with the H2, I'm not sure why this shoe has an insert to begin with. Lace clamp and resulting loop: Cord loops and whitewater can result in foot entanglement/entrapment. Cut the plastic cord ends off and let the ends fly loose if you plan to take these out on whitewater.

Great. Lightweight. Very comfortable. I only find that the laces becomes loose occasionally and I have to tighten them again, but that happens with all shoes from time to time.

I normally wear a wide shoe but these were super wide, and a little too long. Definitely need to go down probably 1 size from your normal size for these. Also the front are so wide they looked a little cartroony. Seemed like they would be very comfortable if they fit your foot though!

I love Keens. These are great with one exception: they are too hot. Granted it is summer, but I bought his shoe as an alternative to my Keen flip flops and if I wear them without socks my feet sweat like crazy. Very comfortable as far as fit, but just too hot. Have resorted to wearing no show socks and it solves the problem.

Great shoes. No, they have no arch support and very little midsole, which is what minimalist shoe wearers like me enjoy, but it really bugs me that the think little footbed liner comes out everytime I take them off. A solid footbed would have worked better, though maybe it would have added too much weight. Otherwise a great shoe.

I bought this shoe for my boyfriend. Love the way it looks! He loves it too for comfort... But watch out. They start to stink pretty bad after a month or two of wear. I figured they were went to be worn without socks, but maybe socks will help keep the smelliness from creeping up. Fortunately, you can scrub them up easily and can also change the insole.

I really wanted to love this beautiful shoe. It has all the features I want except, unlike the other four pairs of Keens I own, there is almost no arch support. That wrecks it for me.

Zappos should label these shoes 'Water Shoes' because that is specifically what Keen does. Very misleading to describe these as 'Hiking'. They will not fit or lace like a hiking shoe. I normally wear a 13 D but these were at least a full size too long & wide...felt like a 14-15 EE.

I work at a camp in northern MN and I needed something that could protect my feet as well as have the comfort of a sandal and these looked like the perfect fit. However, they ended up being the worst of both worlds. When they got wet it took two days of sitting out to dry (I would've been better off just using my hiking shoes) and the mesh made the the perfect trap for dirt and sand to get in but not out making it very uncomfortable. I loved the free shipping and fast delivery but the product was just poorly designed.

I have owned several pairs of Keens and these shoes did not have the arch support that any of the others did. I purchased and added my own insoles with good arch supports and then wore them for about eight months. Unfortunately the strap that runs along the inside and the outside of the shoes below the ankles (makes a V-shape, pierces through the outer wall of the shoe) quickly started being cut in half by the shoe, itself. I am surprised that others are not returning these and giving them negative reviews. I cannot be the only one who experienced this. They are very breathable shoes, but I would never purchase them again. Thankfully, Zappos agreed with me on the defect and gave me a store credit, even after a number of months of wearing them.

I have tried two pairs of these shoes but I returned both for the same reason. After about two to three weeks of normal wear the insoles lose hold of the bottom of the shoe and ride up when you walk, to the point where they literally can be seen. I really like these shoes which is why I have tried this twice. When they function properly they are super comfortable. But, when the insole starts riding up they become unwearable. You have been warned. BTW this is the only shoe I have ever returned.
