Was looking for a hiking shoe that was comfortable for trail walking / light hiking and still looked good. Loved the style & fit of this shoe.

Good looking and solid hikers. A little stiffer than I prefer, but I expect that will loosen up with use.

Felt a half size smaller than marked. I was disappointed that some of the lacing as well as the straps on the top of the shoe that hold the laces back were actually pink in color. The pictures make it look silver or grey. They didn't look how I expected them to.

Great shoe, but a little too narrow for me in the toe box. The heel felt great. Unfortunately there were no waterproof Siren Sports left in my size. I hope the wide, non-waterproof shoe fits well. As other reviewers have said, the shoe runs short and adding a half size to your regular size is important.

Love this shoe! I crew for a hot air balloon and the ground is usually very damp for early morning flights. Kept my feet dry and warm. So glad I found them! Got lots of compliments on them too!

This is the second pair of this style that I've owned. Built in arch support is good, but not exactly what I need. I wear custom orthotics when I walk long distances, and this style accommodates them perfectly. No aching feet!

I bought both this shoe and the Gore-Tex shoe. This shoe is better for my narrow heel. The Gore-Tex shoes heel is wider than the Siren Sport Waterproof version. I love Zappos - I ordered these shoes at 10pm and they were at my house the next day - how do they do it! Gore-Tex will be going back - keeping the Siren Sport Waterproof. Agree with all of the reviews you must order 1/2 size bigger than you normally wear.

Love these shoes! I did take the advice of others and order one size larger and they fit perfectly. They were comfortable from the first time I put them on and I was able to wear them right away for long periods of time with no side effects. I've used them for light trails and walking so can't respond to durability on more serious hiking - but I can attest to the "waterproof" claim - I was in steady precipitation and my feet stayed dry - hooray! These shoes get a very high recommendation from me. I love the color and style too!

I have owned two pairs of these shoes and I really like them. They last about a year and a half if you wear them all the time. I wear mine almost everyday. I wore them all through my pregnancy without having issues from swollen feet too! I probably walk about a mile and a half in them everyday. After about a year and a half I've started having problems with the soles pulling away from the shoe. It's only slightly annoying unless it's raining or snowing. Then my feet get wet. I specifically bought these because they were waterproof and I hate having wet socks. Even with this I'm probably going to buy a new pair to replace the ones I'm wearing now.

I have feet issues and need to wear inserts. My inserts fit without a problem. These Merrells are so comfortable I can wear them and have worn them all day. They keep my feet dry and warm. I'm loving them.

I was going out to Utah to volunteer at an animal sanctuary & knew that my current sneakers weren't going to cut it if it rained while I was there. I bought these Merrells & loved them. They're lightweight & very comfortable. I wear an 8, but ordered 8 1/2. Go up a 1/2 size.

Lightweight, waterproof, very grippy sole, really comfy, love 'em. Seem to run about 1/2 size small compared to previous Merrells I've had.

All that I would expect from Merrells although I did need a half size larger than normal. Then it fit perfectly....usually a 9.5 had to get a 10.

I just got my Merrell Siren Sport Waterproof hiking shoes this week and was so impressed -- right out of the box. I've been looking for a good hiking shoe that will be sturdy and supportive but also have a nice "give" so that my foot is comfortable. This fills the bill. The sole has a nice sturdiness, aggressive tread, and a very non-slip grip to it. The rest of the shoe hugs your foot comfortably and has a nice, slight "give" when you're mid-step. The insole feels like it's surrounding, cradling your foot. First I had ordered the North Face Hedgehog GTX, but the shoe had no give and was so stiff I felt like I was wearing a cement block. This shoe seems more cradling for a woman's foot and less boxy. Very nice, all around. The shoe's a looker, too! The two-tone tan color is not boring but quite sophisticated looking and the orange accents make it fun and unique (I hate the boring, same-old, same-old). As for sizing, I'm often between 8.5 and 9, and went for a 9 to be sure I'd have room for thicker hiking socks. My left foot is slightly smaller than my right, so my heel has some extra room, but a small heel insert takes care of that. If you're between half sizes and want to wear ample hiking socks, I'd say size up. These really are a joy to wear. So far I've just worn them running errands and walking my dogs (longer walks). I'm getting them ready for a hike to Old Rag in Virginia, but honestly I don't think they need breaking-in. They feel great right out of the box. Also, it's worth it in my opinion to get the waterproof. It's only slightly more than the non-waterproof shoe and it's worth it to keep your feet dry and your shoes long-lasting.

Love, love, love these hikers. Very comfy. Fit very true to size. Great traction. Could use perhaps a bit better arch but after trying my other insoles I have decided to stick with the original Merrell insole. I am very happy with these shoes.

This was my first pair of Merrel's and I'm really happy with them! They are really comfortable and give good arch support. I suggest ordering a half size up. I ignored this warning from others and ended up having to send my 8.5 pair back and ordering a 9. Now they fit perfectly!

Love them, this is coming from a woman who has RA and it is in my left hip. Very Comfortable, plan on really putting them to the test when the snow melts. It will melt won't it?

Love my new Waterproof Merrell's. Had them shipped directly to my vacation destination and wore them every day, extensive mixed surface hiking and walking. Great traction and great fit, true to size. Could use a little more arch support but I feel it most after extended wear only. Look great, wish I could wear them every day.

I have always liked Merrell. they hold up to anything. I once experimented with as pair of Tevas and the sole literally came apart after a night around the campfire. Evidently the Tevas cannot handle radiant heat. Merrells are always long lasting and comfy. Oh, and I have high arches and these fit my arch very nicely!!

Love these! Super comfortable right out of the box. Pretty lightweight for hiking shoes as well. If anything, the arch insert feels slightly off from where the support should be, but they have not given me any trouble. They look even cuter in person, too!

Cute shoe but I agree with another reviewer--arch support lacking. I have a very high arch, and it feels like there is a ridge at the ball of my foot, and a hollow at the arch. Will have to return.

Nice looking shoe, and very light weight. However, toe box was very narrow and I ordered a 1/2 size up. I'm returning them.

Great looking shoe, unfortunately it did not feel like a Merrell. Also cut smaller - about half a size. Had to send it back. Arch support also lacking.
