This electric kettle is fast! The mechanic in the lid requires careful handling, and as a European, I would appreciate a metric scale on top of ounces and cups, but those are little things. Overall, this kettle is great!

I bought this Krups kettle as a replacement after many years of great service. It works -- quickly. No bells or whistles, just elegant looking, and fast heating -- all with a comfortable handle and lid, and convenient base. I was tempted to buy two because the new designs are inferior to it.

My absolute favorite electric kettle ever! I have one and I just bought another for my daughter to bring to college.

I have this kettle. Purchased it a few years ago. The first one I had quit working very soon. I returned it to Krups and they replaced it without question as it was faulty. The one I have now is great, no problems. For those of you who have problems with leaking I would recommend sending it back to Krups for a replacement.

Good looking, fast heating. Unfortunately, after 6 months of use the steam and interior still smell like plastic and the on-switch is very glitchy, sometimes I have to hold it down for a while before it will stay down. Have loved heating water for french press coffee, tea, and even to give water a head start before pouring it into a pot for cooking on the stove. But I'm online shopping for a new alternative, preferably with no plastic exposed to the water, so that pretty much says it all.

I bought Krups FLF2 Electric Kettle about 7 months. After 3 months it started leaking from the handle. I couldn't find receipt so I bought expensive kettle that worth nothing and I cannot return it. You cannot even try to fix it yourself as it needs special tools.

I purchased this kettle at a department store on February 4, 2012. By July 4, 2012 it had sprung a leak. With a list price this high, it was the last thing I expected. That was so disappointing. Of course, the store will not take it back and so I have to ship it back to Krups and who knows what that will do. It started leaking at the point where the handle meets the kettle near the bottom. So the search for a decent, well constructed, long-lasting electric kettle continues.
