Good shoes. Good support and cushioning when running. Also, good shoes for various cross training options, as well.

This shoe is outstanding in comfort. It looks great and holds up well. This is the 3rd pair I have purchased.

The shoes are very comfortable, my wife and I walk five miles most every day,good arch support with very low impact stress to the foot, I like the shoes.

Ah, they are so soft and the arch is just the perfect shape for supporting my foot without putting pressure on the balls of my feet or my big toes. There is plenty of room for my little toes also. I love the large toe box and the way my toes can spread out and wiggle. Because of my foot shape and size (EEEE), I need a company that can send me shoes to try on and allow me free return shipping. I've been buying all my shoes from Zappos.com for years and will continue with them forever! Excellent!

I got these for a few different reasons. They have good reviews, well priced, comes in wide and they're not hideous. Got them super fast and I'm really loving them, so well padded. The EE is a little too wide but that is fine. I like to wear thick socks and giving my toes more breathing room while running is a good thing. Incredibly comfortable, great support and motion control and most of all not hideous.

I researched New Balance shoes to find out which ones were best for plantar fasciitis. These shoes are very comfortable with a roomy toe box and seem to give me the support I need. I wear them everyday!

These are witout a doubt the best running/athletic shoes I've owned.The new PL-1 last fits me (size 15B,narrow heel, low volume foot) perfectly. The cushioning is excellent-no more knee or back pain. Have tried other stability shoes (Nike, Asics, Brooks) but none provide the degree of comfort and stability of the 1225 This shoe is not cheap, but in this case you really do get what you paid for.

Great shoe!! For a "Clydesdale" type of runner (I'm 6'3" 225lbs), this shoe has it all, stability, motion control and A LOT of cushioning. I jumped shipped from Asics over to New Balance 1225's and have finally found my "perfect" shoe.

I've always liked New Balance shoes and these are no different. Very comfortable, lots of support, great fit. The laces are a little high on the foot, which provides a more solid fit, but you must loosen them a bit more when you remove the shoe than is typical with running shoes. All in all, a great shoe which I enjoy wearing.

I am a long-time New Balance MR12xx series buyer. Every 9-12 months I order a new pair, and I tend to order them from Zappos.com because they always have my size, 9.5 in EE width. That is in fact one of the big advantages of New Balance; they are offered in wider widths for those of us who need them. Why am I a fan of this particular NB model? 1. They happen to fit my feet very well. There are other good running shoes out there, but Nike for example has never made a shoe that fit my feet particularly well. 2. The shock absorbing is effective without being bouncy. I do have knee/hip problems that require quite a bit of heel-strike protection, and these have done a good job of relieving injury to those area. 3. Good stability; I wear these during gym workouts too, and rely on them to provide a secure platform for all sorts of crazy exercises and equipment.

First thing I notice when I put these guys on is the comfort in the heel. The breathability is great and won't cause too much of an issue when in hot conditions. The aesthetics are not to my liking, but I can't be too picky when I wear a size 15; I usually wear the NB 993 and appreciate the comfort of them, but I'm tired of wearing senior citizen looking shoes. I wanted the NB 993 in the black with glowing sole but they were out in my size and had to make a choice: senior citizen 993s or slightly ugly non-senior citizen shoes. I have been wearing NB since I was in the Navy and they always seem to have the comfort, but lack the style. Please NB people, start making more tasteful shoes for us big guys!

Wonderful shoes. However, the width and cut of the shoe is kind of weird. I ended up with 12.5 Wides despite being a size 13-14 in most other New Balance shoes. A size 13 Wide had significant lateral movement, and way too much room for my toes.

This is a very light but sturdy shoe. great on the foot while running or walking. The arch seems a little bit higher but not to the point or being bothersome. Why does a good shoe has to be so flashy with the bright yellow/orange or whatever? I don't know but it works great as a running shoe.

These are nice shoes, light and good laces that don\'t come untied by themselves. They could have a longer tongue and a tougher heal. Good shoes and comfortable.

I have always worn Nike shoes and wanted to try the New Balance...I haven't ran in it yet but they feel good walking around...not sure they will beat my Nikes but will give them a real good chance...I have had New Balance in the past but not running shoes...this shoe is put together great so I feel it will work for me...the service at Zappos is just great and they get the product to you in a hurry...
