Love my Columbia shorts for river running, but I got this new pair and they looked so good that I took them out for a non-wet hike. A twist of fate closed our intended trail, making us turn to a waist-high water-wading adventure. Luckily, I had these awesome shorts on, which were up to whatever challenge. NICE. Material is comfortable, fit is good. Like the pockets. Cut is flattering and simple. Great job.

I love the quality and length of the cargo shorts and the colors they come in but would like to have larger pockets, especially the zippered one. I will be going on an expedition and more pocket space would be great especially since we will be away from the ship quite a bit. Another plus is the quick drying fabric the shorts are made of.

I wear shorts for work, 8 months of the year. They fit well and are very comfortable. The only problem is static. Maybe when the summer returns the static will disappear. Otherwise they wash and wear well.

These shorts come from a line of the very best shorts ever made. They are sun protected, durable, quick dry, and have zippered pockets. Thank you very much for these very high quality shorts.

I have an old pair of Columbia water shorts and have been looking for another. I love how light they are, perfect for hot summer days. So glad to find this directly on the website, making my search much easier. The lightweight fabric, many pockets, elasticized waistband and inseam length are why these shorts are so perfect for me. The only change I'd like to see is to replace the mesh pockets with the fabric so keys don't snag. Otherwise, don't change a thing!

I bought one pair of the Sandy River shorts and I love their light weight and quick dry quality. I wear them for workouts, as boardshorts in the ocean and pool, for walking and just around the house. The zip pocket is great. Came with a belt, but I find that useless. I immediately bought two more pair in different colors. The fit is great, although an inch or two shorter would make leg lifts easier.

Light weight shorts with pockets deep enough to be useful. Good color for not showing dirt. I've had an old version of these for many years, only buying new ones for a different size. I expect to be just as happy with these.

These shorts have a wonderful vibrant color. Material is lighweight and very comfortable. Unfortunately I am a "petite" so the small size is very very roomy. But I bought them for yard work and they are perfect.

These shorts function on so many different levels. Hiking, walking [right side pocket perfect size for an ipod], gardening and just plain lazing around. Durability that can't be beat. My first pair that I bought years ago just got thrown out because after many, many washing, the elastic band broke down and they didn't stay up anymore. Oh well.... they were perfect while they lasted!

These shorts are exactly what I have been looking for. The fit is true to size, color choices are good. They wash beautifully. I actually bought a second pair for myself and one for a friend.

I work at a Fish Camp for children and these shorts are perfect! The pockets are funtional without being to bulky and the material dries very quickly. Perfect outdoor shorts!

Bought these shorts for a houseboat trip. Not only do they look sharp, but they are quick drying and have deep pockets. The adjustable belt is a plus as well.

This short is cool and comfortable beyond compare . They are well made and suitable for a variety of activities. I ordered several additional pairs.

I just bought 2 pairs of these shorts. They are the perfect length, and they don't creep up when you sit down. The material is lightweight and breathable. They do run a little large and have large legs. I threw the belts away and ordered some from buffalo designs- the belt loops will accommodate other belts. The shorts can easily be dressed up or down. I plan to order the other colors. Love them.

I ordered two pair of Sandy River shorts for an upcoming trip to Belize and Guatemala. After reading the reviews and the specs, I decided to get mediums (I"m 5'3" and about 133 lbs.) I thought they were pretty comfy, but hubby said they were kinda loose in the rear. I had time before the trip so I reordered both in small. Those were just a "scooch" too snug in the rise. Back and forth I went, comfy or sleek? I finally went with the sleek, small fit. These shorts are wonderful. The style is very nice, not too cargo-y. Love the self belt, too.

I love these shorts. I wear them to the gym and on hiking and kayaking trips with the boy scouts. Great pockets for gear. Material dries fast when it gets wet. I will be getting another pair to add to the two pairs I have already.

It drys fast and pratical. I've like it so much that bougth 4 diferent colours.

Excellent fit. Lightweight material. Easy to wash and quick to dry. Very comfortable. Great to wear on a hike or over a swimsuit. Liked my first pair so much I bought three more in different colors. These are now my daily "live-in" shorts.

These shorts are so adaptable to every kind of outdoor activity. Fit is really good. Not too tight, not to baggy. It would be nice if they were just a wee bit longer though.

I've had the Sandy River Shorts in every color and love them and decided to try out this Sandy River Cargo Short. They lived up to their name as I loved wearing them and found them even more functional for work or for activities where I didn't want to carry a bag/purse for my phone, id, etc. because I could make use of the zip pockets on the leg. They are so light weight and comfortable that they are all I want to wear anymore. I like the Sandy River Cargo because they look a little more professional for my type of work with the belt/pockets but still just as comfortable as the regular sandy river's. Wish they were available in more colors when I ordered them but I've been very happy with the dark green and khaki colors I have since they are so versatile.
