I got these shoes as an exchange from another pair of shoes that didn't fit quite as nicely as these do. At first, these shoes are a bit heavy (they *are* walking shoes), but they are very comfortable as they surround your foot and cushion it while you walk. I would definitely recommend wearing proper socks with these shoes, as thin socks will make your foot 'wiggle around'.

I am an RN and I work both 8 hour and 12 hour shifts on Med/Surg and Psych. That means I am on my feet >80% of my shift work. I wear an 11N with an arch that sits far back from the ball of my foot, so finding a shoe that is both narrow and has an arch that fits me is difficult. These are very comfortable, and my feet are not (overly) tired after I finish a shift. I am able to wear these with a medium weight compression stocking, and the all black works with my uniform requirements. I am very happy with these and will be buying them again.

I ordered for my mom who has long narrow feet. Even with her bunions she said these felt wonderful. Great traction so she won't slip and fall

This is a very comfortable shoe that really is true to size and supportive. No more knee or back pain! Thanks Saucony!

BEST SNEAKERS EVER! I wear these to work, and I am on my feet for 10 hours a day. I wore my first pair for almost 2 years and then got another pair because they are so comfortable.

They fit wide feet! Can wear orthotics in them. I have naturally wide, flat feet and a bunion on my right big toe. I walk more than the average 68 year old. I needed a shoe that would fit my Vionic insert. I read a review that said these would, so I bought them in a double wide, figuring that like every other woman's wide shoe I've bought lately, they would be too narrow. Boy, was I surprised that they actually are wide enough to fit the orthotic and my bunion. Because they are plain black, I now wear even I wear then when I dress up. I started wearing them in October and since then I bought Thorlos padded winter socks (from Zappos), which are really thick, and these shoes are big enough for them also. This is amazing, as anyone with wide feet will tell you that Thorlos often won't fit in their shoes. They don't have a great deal of arch support, which is fine with me because I use my own insert. Actually, I've found that brands that advertise "arch support" really sell a shoe with a pebble in the middle which cannot be moved around to suit an individual's own foot. I just wish they would sell a winter snow boot. If they did, I'd really be all set.

I bought both the 8 and 8.5 in wide to compare. I wear between 7.5 and 8.5 depending on brand. the 8.5 fit perfectly and the wide is just a little wider than a B. I have issues with one foot that requires space and this shoe is very comfortable. Would recommend to people with pain on outside edge of foot and for hammer toe.

Needed all black shoes for work and I love the Saucony brand so ordered these and the Omni walker. Difference is night and day. Tried the Omni walker first-was in tears after an 8 hour shift from pain. Tried these the next day and didn't even think about my feet hurting once all shift. These are amazing. I have semi-flat feet and bunions. I got the wide. Extremely comfortable, I couldn't be happier.

Because of plantar plate tears in both feet, tarsal tunnel syndrome, heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, arthritis, and EE width, finding comfortable walking shoes is a real challenge. The Saucony Progrids have been exceptionally comfortable right out of the box. Both my podiatrist and physical therapist approved of the shoes' thick sole, support, and cushioning. Exceeds expectations!

I like to walk. The moment I put these on my feet I knew I had found the shoes for me. They are true to size, they hug my foot and there is room for my big toe. Many other shoes slope down so severely that they press in on my toes and this is uncomfortable. Also, they are leather uppers! Hope you like them as much as I do. Trish

Bottom Line: Great Walking Shoe at a very reasonable price! For me, however, it's not quire a perfect fit as it's a little long for my squat 8.5 or 9 WW feet (with bunion). But the width is good, and with thick socks there's not much slippage with the length. As a discerning shopper and loyal, long-time Zappos customer, I can usually find shoes that fit PERFECTLY. But, in spite of the less-than-perfect fit, this shoe is quite comfortable and great for serious walking.

Wonderful shoe for a person who is on their feet eight plus hours a day. I walk at work on concrete floor with a slant and am on my feet all day, clocking between five and seven miles daily. I get the wide with and add the Dr. Schols gel on top of the existing insert for more comfort. It allows my foot to expand. I've tried most other brands (Brooks, Adidas, etc.) and this show gives me and my wide feet the most comfort. I'm also required to wear black so my choices are limited. My other favorite is the Mizuno in wide, but can't use for work because of the no black.

I like this sneaker because of the wider toe area. I wore Asics for years; love the quality and arch support of Asics gel foundation walker, but cannot wear the point; it squeezes my toes. This saucony pro grid works.

I love this shoe! I have very bad bunions. I purchased a 7 1/2 EE and these were comfortable right out of the box. My heel didn't slip at all either; it was a nice tight fit. I even wore them the first day for a 12 hour shift at work- standing!

I have been looking for a shoe that would be comfortable to wear for 9-10 hours a day. I am on my feet all day at work, and this shoe (sneaker) has been wonderful. I would highly recommend this sneaker. thank you saucing!

A pretty amazing walking shoe. I usually wear Saucony aerobic or cross-training shoes when I walk — but now I know there's a huge difference. With the other shoes, my feet would tire (and I would tire) after a certain number of miles. Now, my feet feel great and I have a lot more energy. This sounds like an ad -- but, seriously, that's how it is. Also, I was born with flat feet, so I usually like more of an arch in my insole. But I really don't need it at all with these.

I ordered this shoe along with 4 others to try out (2 New Balance, 1 Easy Spirit and 1 other Saucony.) I needed to replace my worn out exercise-walkers. Normally I wear an 8N but in sneakers take an 8.5N. The others were all too wide, or the arch support seemed to hit in the wrong place, but this pair--the last ones I tried on--was perfect; it felt like coming home. When I went to put them in my closet I realized they are the exact same style as my old ones! That blew me away, given that you can go into a clothing store nowadays and try on 10 pair of the exact same jeans (or slacks, or shirts, or etc), and every one will fit differently. These two pairs of Sauconys were bought about 2 years apart, and they fit just the same. Yea, Saucony!

Everything about this shoe is great! The reviews were right about room for my bunion and overall it's very comfortable. The "stone" color was better than expected.

This is the first pair of Saucony shoes I've ever purchased, and I am so glad I bought them. They are very comfy and lightweight. I have had a lot of trouble finding a truly comfy shoe because I have a high arch, but these felt good the minute I put them on. The only negative is I thought the color (stone) was a little darker than pictured. But, overall, this is a great shoe for walking. I am extremely happy with this purchase and will buy this style again!

Absolutely love this shoe! It was a surprise to hear that this shoe also helped my plantar fascia on my right foot, as it helps stabilize my feet and doesn't slip. I would only change the way the tongue sits, because it sorta wiggles out of place (but then, what shoe's tongue doesn't wiggle out of pace?lGood shoes for you!

I was looking for a comfortable black shoe that I can wear in the clinic (I'm a physical therapy student). These shoes are comfy, fit well (even on my long, narrow feet), and can be worn with dress pants without looking tacky.
