The soles fell apart. The uppers are still great. The sole on one foot split in half and the heels wore down almost immediately. The uppers look fine age, but the heels and soles wore down so fast. I have read a lot of reviews about customer service from this company and am expecting none. I would not buy these boots again. Leather boots are usually assumed to be made with quality materials, while synthetics, at the cheaper price point are somewhat disposable. These are the worst of both worlds, nice leather but cheesy soles. My daughter, a bit of a shoe hound, wore these 3 or 4 times a month over a period of a year before they became unusable.

So I got a pair of these for Christmas. They were great at first, but I have quite large calves, so when i put them on and zipped it up, the zipper on the right boot would pop open. So I gave them to one of my friends. Overall they are a very stylish shoe to me, you just have to have quite small calves. But i got Doc Marten's instead.

The boots look and fit great but the quality is terrible. I tried them on previously and knew to order half a size smaller since they run a little big. I'm disappointed Steve Madden would produce such a cheap product and I hope they don't go the way of Nine West. Once my boots arrived I looked closely and realized the sole was already seperating from the boot so you basically couldn't even wear these in the rain without getting your feet wet. In addition there were several small tears in the leather on the upper part of the boot. I might pay $40 for these boots expecting them to fall apart otherwise there not worth the money. Its to bad because the style and fit are great.

I absolutely love these boots, but they do not hold up. The soles cracked within 2 months of wear and they need to be re-soled. They are beautiful boots, they are comfortable and the rest held up pretty well. I just wish they were worth the price.

Cute, but very uncomfortable! Like walking on blocks of wood. Also, this is the cheapest, worst quality leather I've ever purchased. Very disappointing.

These felt very cheap and flimsy. I really liked the look of them, so I was very disappointed to return them, but you could just tell that they'd be falling apart in less than a year.

These are great boots except the color is totally inaccurate. I ordered the Stone color, and they were almost green. I also ordered the Cognac, and they were very light compared to the picture. I don't think this is a Zappos issue because the brand website has the same pictures. It's just very different than the actual product.

Don't do it. I know you want to. They look so cute... And even sturdy? I bought my first pair and the manufacturer had left off the cap stop (which is a small piece of metal that keeps the tab from zipping right off the zipper.) So the zipper could not be zipped back up. I wrote letters made complaints but alas no one would exchange/return them. But I really wanted it to work...So I bought a second pair, this time through Zappos. Then yesterday (less then a month after i bought the second pair) the sole snapped in half! What a disappointment. So it comes down to them being made very poorly. Pretty, but low quality. So whats the point of buying good looking shoes if you have to toss them in a month! Not worth the money i paid twice! Fool me once yadda yadda yadda. So don't do it ladies. You'll be like me: no money, no boots.

I purchased these in Black and brown. First, I am a true 8, and had to return them for an 8.5 (size also varied between colors). Second, I had to pay a cobbler to put grips on the soles, as they are very slippy. Third, I wore both pairs for about 2 months, before both parts centers of the soles split from the shoe! So every time I step, the sole lifts up. My friend bought a pair, and they did the same thing! Very adorable boots, but poor quality!
