Wore them the first time and walked over 11,000 steps that day with no issues. I had bunion surgery over a year ago and my foot is still sore, so I have a difficult time finding stylish shoes that don’t hurt, but these were just what I needed! Love them!

These are all-around great boots! I bought them for my then 12-year-old daughter last fall and am writing this review almost a year later. The style is very attractive - I would wear them myself if we were the same size. She has outgrown kids' sizes and wanted something that would look cool and hold up in the wintertime. They are stylish but also simple, and the heel gives just a small boost. They held up through a New York winter last year and she just took them out again for fall. (We didn't have a lot of snow last year, but that's still pretty impressive). Glad her feet seem to have stopped growing and she can still fit into them!

Cute boots — they do have a chemical smell but I’m sure that will wear off with some time. I would definitely recommend these

I got this pair of boots to replace an older version of the exact same pair that my girlfriend has worn for years and she absolutely LOVES THEM. This is a must have if you are looking for fashionable footwear!

I love these boots! They are made with nice quality leather that is soft and very comfortable. I put them on and was able to walk out of the house and wear them all day with no rubbing or discomfort. So far I have had zero issues with them and I would buy them again, and recommend them to anyone wanting a versatile low boot. I thought they were true to size.

I've owned my pair of black Troopas for over 5 years now, and I love them today even more than when I first got them. They age very gracefully, and I like the look they develop after being worn often (and I wear them VERY often). They fit perfectly, and a very comfortable, but I don't suggest wearing them if you're going to be walking all day, because there isn't much arch support. If you're thinking about buying these, do it! They'll last you forever, and you won't regret it. I'm on this page now because I'm thinking about buying a new pair. A few pieces of the leather inside the shoe have started sticking out (but it isn't terribly uncomfortable, and is fixable if you're wearing moderately thick socks). This only happened in the last few months. These are my favorite shoes. :)

So far I've worn these boots about 5 times and I love them! They require a slight breaking in and the initial creasing around the toe box is a little uncomfortable but not bad as the leather softens up. The brown color is gorgeous and the boots look high quality. They look really cute with boot socks peeking out and leggings or shorts or a dress, and are pretty comfortable to walk around in all day. I'd say they run true to size or maybe SLIGHTLY small. I wear an 8-8.5 and this one I got the 8.5 and it fits with thick socks. So far I haven't noticed any of the quality concerns that are mentioned in some other reviews but I'll update later if I do.

Love the boots. My foot is size 10.5 and I have a really hard time finding shoes that fit. I read all the reviews about the size. I ordered a size 10 and it fit perfect. I would say it runs on the bigger side. They are so adorable and comfortable.

These are my favorite boots and I hope they never go out of style. I originally bought a pair in 2013, and I wore it for over a year in all weathers. I had to stop wearing it because the heel wore out. This new pair is just like the original pair. Somewhat narrow fit on ankles and foot, which is good for me.

These are great for a chill night out. My only complaint is the front of the shoe has a "band" that rubs against the toe initially. It's softened over time.

My 12 year old daughter is on her 4th pair of these shoes. They've worn incredibly well. She's worn them in different sizes and she has 2 different sized feet. This is a great price for a durable shoe that she can wear daily to school and on the weekends.

My favorite boots of all time! I bought a pair back in highschool that lasted me for almost three years-wearing in rain, snow, you name it- before the sole started to separate from the boot upper on the side. I spent about a year trying to muster up the strength to pay the money again for them and am so glad I did. I wear these with everything and they are so easy to zip on and go plus they make any outfit look more stylish. Super comfortable once broken in (which doesn't take long) and they go with everything!

I originally bought these in a Steve Madden store. I've had them for about 3 years and after wearing them constantly, they are finally starting to look ratty. I love them so much. They are cute, comfortable and go with practically ANYTHING. I just ordered my second pair.

I've purchased the steve madden "troopa" boot multiple times over the past 3 years because I literally wore them until the sole broke. These are my everyday, go to shoes. I have them in both brown and black. I love these boots and find them very stylish and comfortable. The boot does run narrow, but after some use it does loosen up.
