I bought these shoes for my teenage son. The first day that he wore them another student told him that he wanted to steal his shoes. He’s not a skateboarder, but is a shoe freak. He loves the light weight and bold colors of this shoe. They are made of flannel-like fabric bonded to something thicker. They’re very comfortable and stylish. They do run large... this I learned from a previous review I read when I was ordering the shoes. Order a half-size to a full size smaller than normal, depending on how snug you like to wear your shoes.

Yo, quit hatin', start skatin'. These shoes have skated amazing for me and they are too durable. I have to buy me another pair. But the ones I have haven't worn out yet. I've been skatin' them for a month and a half, skatin' about 3 days a week. They still haven't fell apart or worn too bad.

Too stiff - I skate almost exclusively in Vans, but when I saw the Hewitt, I thought I would give them a try. I found the sole to be really stiff, compared to Vans. The rubber didn't grip as good either. I think they're a good shoe, but if you're used to a more flexible sole, these will feel a lot stiffer.

LOVE IT - I ordered this shoe for my 14 year old son. He loves them. They are very comfortable, affordable and they look great. The touch of red on the shoe is subtle. If you are looking for a nice skate shoe that doesn't scream look at my feet...this is a great choice. Buying from Zappos is an excellent decision as well. There are plenty of great choices and no time is wasted going from mall store to mall store and then to local skate shops to find what you are looking for in hopes they have it in stock. We have always gotten our products the very next day after ordering and with free shipping!!!! Thanks Zappos!!!!

Joe Ow - These shoes are absolutely amazing. I also love the purple plaid style, which is the one I bought. Hewitt's shoes are amazing and the best for some fatty tre flips.

Vox Hewitt... Great Shoe - I bought the all black hewitt, with the white sole, and it looks sick! The shoe is extremely comfortable, it looks great, and it's a mid-top so it feels even better. The shipping was pretty fast, and I'm really enjoying this shoe, haven't skated in it yet, but I'm anxious to. Oh and buy at least half a size smaller, since it's vulcanized!

Good lace and ankle protection, good skate shoes. Buy them 1 size smaller than normal.

Great shoes - I really like them a lot, I skate in them and wear them to school, they are very comfortable.

Not Quite - Got size 10 1/2 and they felt like big 11s. Also the rubber on the sole cracked after 3 weeks. Yes they have a good look but they are not very comfortable. I don't skate anymore but I have a feeling these things would never last more than a couple of months.

Vox Footwear Hewitt - Very good shoe. I have two pairs and getting my third soon. Durable and long lasting. My favorite shoe!

Great shoes & VERY durable! My child loves these shoes. She skates a lot and these have lasted longer than any other shoes have lasted - VERY durable! As ALWAYS - Zappos customer service was AWESOME!

Buy these shoes! I bought the purple beer hunters and they are the best shoes I have skated in a long while. They are great for any style of skating, and the best feature is the midtop, cuz I have bad ankles and these helped that a lot. Pretty average wear, really depends how much u skate and if you have new grip :S Seeing as I don't, tops!

Hewitt shoe - They’re great shoes, very comfortable after you wear them in a bit. The flap over the bottom lace loop works well, it’s nice not having to rock knotted-up ripped laces. All they need now is an air freshener in-sole.

Vox Plaid/black shoes - Really comfortable! The plaid looks really cool and I've gotten lots of compliments on them.

Beer hunter a good shoe? I think so - I've had this shoe for a long time, and this shoe kicks. I love everything about this shoe. Its good for skating everything, street, tranny, park, you name it. When they break in after a couple days it feels so good, they are so comfortable. I recommend them.

Hewitt - Sick skating shoe, lasts a long time. Doesn't wear down too quick. May need to be gellin when you wear these. Insoles are a little flat. Shred man.

Vox - Good shoe, skates well. This was my second pair and I plan on buying more.

Great shoe. Absolutely 100% skatable and perfect for about anything. It’s great to chill in or go about and shred. It’s the same shoe as the Trooper only it’s a midtop which helps give me extra support when I skate. The other plus is midtop= no ankle bite from your board. I strongly recommend the Hewitt’s. Also the Troopers and the Dehobl.

Vox Hewitts - They are good to skate in and are very comfortable especially in the heel area. You should buy a whole size smaller than you usually wear. The bottom wears out sorta quick.

Nice look, rip easy - Very nice skate shoe for street. I don’t do heights so much, so I don’t know ‘bout that, but otherwise, very sexy skating shoe… BUT ripped at the kickflip part of the shoe real bad. I’m not that intense of a skater and they ripped in 2 months. If you like paying this much for a 2 month shoe, then HIGH FIVE for this shoe!

Sweeeet shoooes - These shoes are sweeeet. They look good, real comfortable. Weird to skate though took me a bit to work them in. Crazy grippy though once you get worked in. I got a major rippage in the front, but I skated these hard like almost every day, but yo, I definitely recommend these shoes bro!

Great skating shoe, great value, moderate comfort. Good looking shoe, great for riding, good ankle support though may be a little stiff which limits long term wear as a casual shoe. Absolutely love it on the board, that's when I wear 'em.

It’s a good shoe - It fit perfect, but it’s a pretty comfortable shoe. But it did make my feet hurt after skating for 3 hours. I had sore feet, but no other problems. It’s a great shoe.
