Without the ability to try these on in person, I was a bit skeptical at my ability to choose the right size for my daughter. However, after following Zappos sizing chart and measuring with a tape measure, we nailed it! Western riding boots were a requirement for camp and these fit the bill. They're perfect, stylish, functional and best of all...she said they felt amazing on. We hardly had to break them in before she could wear them all day. Great value for money and she will get a lot of wear out of them (if she'd only stop growing). I'd definitely buy again and through Zappos as these Ariats are less expensive than in a store (we bought other daughter's last year in TN and paid more for them). Thanks Zappos!

I think my niece may be a Texan at heart. She already takes riding classes but when we got pictures of her wearing her new black cowboy boots we figure she is a cowgirl in training!

These boots are amazing! My daughter (7 years old) has worn them for a year now, they have held up great, such good quality. I will definitely be buying another pair soon.

My daughter loves these boots. She is using them for horseback riding now, but plans on wearing them to school in the fall.

I bought these for my 8 year old daughter for horseback riding. She loves how cute they are, and says they are really comfortable and have been since day one. She wears them everywhere now, not just the barn, and says they are still comfortable even after walking around in them all day long. I think they run a little on the generous side, size-wise. I bought her regular size initially and had to return them to size down 1/2 size.

I got these for my ten year old granddaughter. She loves them and said they were comfortable the first time she wore them. I bought them because of the removable insole grow feature. Hopefully, she will be able to wear them for a while.

My daughter loves these boots! They seem very comfortable and the coloring/style is very nice. They are definitely a huge step up from some cheaper boots she just outgrew. Spend the extra money to get a comfortable shoe!

My 4-year-old grandson tried on a pair of inexpensive boots at a local store and would have nothing to do with them. I took a chance on buying two different pair of Ariat boots for him. He loves them! He wears them every day, and says they are very comfortable.

I ordered three pair of these boots for my grandsons aged 2 ,6 and 11. They love them and they look so expensive and fit perfectly. They run true to size. Zappos provided really fast service, too.

I got these shoes for my daughter who wears a size 5 in other boot brands (like Dolce Vita, Kenneth Cole Kids, etc). She loved them when she saw them, but said they would slip when she walked. I had to return for a smaller size.

These boots were adorable but way too big for my daughter. She usually wears a 3.5 and these were bigger than the size 4 that we ordered in another boot. Super cute but just not the right size.

These were really cute boots, but they run huge. At least a full size larger than marked. My 7-year-old typically wears a 1 (in Keen, Bogs, Merrell, Sorel) - but her foot was swimming in these. We also tried a similar style in Frye, and she prefers those (they also seem to be better quality). These are going back.

I bought these for my 10 year-old daughter for horse camp. They are good quality and she says they are comfortable. I agree with others that they run big. My daughter runs between a 3.5 and 4. We bought two sizes from the start in hopes of getting what we needed- we bought a size 3 and a size 4. She kept the 3, but it's still big. There are no half sizes in her age group, otherwise I would have ordered a 2.5. We just put thick socks on and sent her to camp. She loves the boots, though, and I'd still recommend them.
