Leather is soft and flexible, but not cheap. Goring is flexible and comfortably fits my large calf. Zappos was super friendly helping me return a different brand (that was too small) to get these. This is my 4th pair of Naturalizer shoes and I love them! I'd do a commercial for them! Also for Zappos excellent customer service! Thanks Zappos!

Very comfortable boot. Got wide width so I could wear thick socks. Ankle is a little loose so slightly puddles, but overall think they look great and love wearing them.

I have very large calves and have an extremely difficult time finding a nice looking boot that will fit. As a matter of fact these are the very first ones that do fit! They look nice, are comfortable and fit well.

Love the brown color. I am normally an 11 wide but have neuroma in both feet and a bunion on the right foot, making anything that touches my toes extremely painful. I am in the slow process of finding boots a size larger to accommodate my orthotics. I ordered these in 12 WW. They are definitely large enough. They are almost too big, bit with orthotics and thick soles, they are going to serve my purpose. The leather is very nice. The rubber soles are very comfortable for the New York streets and sidewalks. Definitely wide shaft - I have 16 1/2 inch calves and these easily zip over my jeans with even room to spare. They also come almost up to my knee which is rare because I am tall. For an extended size wide shaft boot, I think I did the best I can do with this boot. Zappos and fastest shipping ever. I ordered at midnight and had them in my apartment the next evening at about 8:00 p.m. Not even 24 hours. This will keep me coming back to Zappos. Why waste time running around from store to store where they don't have your size.

I love these boots. They are true to size and very comfortable. I have a heel tendon problem and these are awesome! Also, the shaft was wide enough for my calves. As always, the service was impeccable.

Shopping for boots for my hard-to-fit calves was like Goldilocks and the three bears and one was too high, one was too tight, and this one was just right. Actually, they were my fourth try. When I looked at the picture, I was initially put off by the elastic panel, thinking it screamed "fat calves!". But my fashion-conscious teen daughter convinced me it added to the look in a good way. I wasn't disappointed: they are super comfy, just right for my size 8 foot and 16 -17 inch calves, and very chic-looking. I can tuck my jeans in and yet they don't slouch down when I'm wearing tights. I have walked all over in them without sore feet, and I have a bunion on one side, so that is saying a lot. They look well-made, although I guess time will tell, since I've only had them a month. I highly recommend them. I spent a lot of time researching different boots. After the first two pair, I started paying closer attention to the shaft circumference and height in the description. That said, while these boots are true to size, others weren't. I found the reviews helpful. Good luck!

These boots were a wonderful surprise. I am short at 5' and have wide feet and muscular calves. I have plenty of room for thick socks and/or to tuck in jeans with space left over. They hit me just below my knees and I wore them eight hours the first time, and they were very comfortable! And of course, Zappos delivered in time for me to wear them to all my Christmas functions!

This is a fantastic boot! Sturdy, stylish, trendy, nice and tall with a wide shaft that you can get a thick pair of jeans into. Looks great and feels even better. I wear a size 11.5 or 12, wide width shoe, so any of you ladies with a problem finding larger shoes that fit and don't make you look like a frump, will really like these!

Nice boot. Awesome that it fits my wide calves. Just remember that it is not 100% leather. There is a fabric portion that allows better fit (I guess). Still really nice and came the next day!

These are very good boots. They look nice, and they fit large calves. It is surprisingly difficult to find boots that meet that description, so I give these a thumbs up. They are also very comfortable. I think they run a little big--I have wide feet and ordered WW. Wish I had ordered W, as they are a bit big (though this means I can wear thicker winter socks). I also find the 7 to fit, though I usually wear a 7.5.

I was so excited to put these on and have extra room. I have never worn a high boot that didn't make my calves look like sausages. I have large calves, about 15 to 15 1/2 inches. These look so cute with jeans and they are very comfortable.

Fabulous. They fit like air, they are so comfortable. You forget that you have them on. I have a bigger calf, but the fit is perfect!

These are the first knee high boots I've ever been able to wear! I have a wide foot, high instep, and very wide calf - and shoes are enough of a problem but boots have been impossible. These actually fit my calf! They are comfortable on my feet, too - plenty of room and decent support. I think they look great as well. I am a very happy customer!

These boots are beautiful! My calves are just a smidge too wide to tuck my jeans into regular boots -- so these are perfect! They leave plenty of room for jeans and I don't feel like my boots are strangling me. The leather is gorgeous, and they are very comfortable. If you're on the fence about getting these -- do it, you won't be disappointed!

I have wide calves and sometimes it's hard to find something that is big enough for me but not baggy at the ankles. These are perfect for me and look fashionable and are super comfy.

Hallelujah! A boot that fits my calves. I got the normal width and took the chance even though my calves are larger. They fit perfectly. And dang, they are really comfortable too. The leather is soft, boot feels sturdy, the soul will grip the icy/wet ground, the stretchy black material is what makes the difference - boot adjusts to your calf as you zip up. And I am able to tuck in skinny jeans or wear with skirts. While I'm not sure that I absolutely love the look of the stretchy material, it makes all the difference in the fit. I'm keeping 'em and lovin' 'em. Thank you Zappos!

I finally found a boot that fits! I had to order a size up to get a calf that fit but they're not that big and it doesn't really bother me - I have plenty of room for a comfort insole. I found the product specs on another site - the 6.5 I needed only comes in a 16" calf but the size 7 W had a 16.5 calf. These are nice and look really good with skirts and dresses - something I've never been able to wear with boots before! They're a little snug but I'm hoping the elastic goring and the leather will give and make them a perfect fit after a few wears. I'd definitely recommend these if you've had a hard time finding wide-calf boots that actually fit.

True to size fit, excellent quality. The arch does not give much support but I expect that in a low heel like this. Just be careful when wearing these as the bottom of boot (part touching floor) are slippery.

Service was very fast. Boots are way too big in the calf. Had to return them.

This is an attractive boot that fits well through the leg. However, it was narrow through the foot, and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I'll be returning these.

These fit perfectly in the shaft, but were not wide enough in the foot, even ordering the wide size. In fact, they were quite narrow.

This is the first tall boot that has actually really fit my legs. I definitely recommend wearing leggings or tall socks with these, as the top of the shaft can rub your leg as you walk. But, overall, the shaft is incredibly comfortable. The shoe part has little to no cushion, but there's room enough for an insole if you need to wear these while standing for long periods. The boot sags to the ankle as the day goes on, unfortunately. I find myself tugging them back up during the day. Also, I do have one complaint with the product description. It says that the ankle strap is adjustable. At least on my boots, it's decorative. The buckle is sewn into its original position. You can't actually adjust it to grip your ankle better. Overall, though, I love this boot and will be buying from this brand again.

Great to find a boot that actually fits on my wide calves. Only drawback is that it sags a bit as the day wears on. Just happy to have some boots!

I'm not thrilled about the stretch fabric as it seems to scream, "I have wide calves so I had to order these in spandex!" but they look nice on. The foot felt at least an entire size too large if not bigger! Definitely order a size less than you normally wear.
