I bought this shoe almost a year ago, right before a solo trip to Japan, because they were super light and extremely comfortable. While I was there, I would be up and exploring for 8-14 hours a day. Seriously. And my feet never hurt once. My legs would get tired first. The nylon upper on the black and white model is really breathable, too. So nothing ever felt suffocated in there, even during a humid and sweaty monsoon season. After that trip, I continued to wear these day in and day out at work (barista jobs on my feet all day) and just kicking around town. They're still in amazing condition and are still the most comfortable shoes I own. Or, dare I say it, have ever owned. It's a marvelous shoe, folks. If you're considering, let me assure you that it'll treat you very well under pretty much any duress you can throw at it.

Well made and extremely comfortable. I bought these shoes for work, I am a waitress, often working doubles, and these are perfect for being on your feet all day. No knee pain, no back pain. A smooth ride. And very sleek and stylish. A true win-win.

Love these shoes! These are my first Onitsukas. I bought them for some light hiking and was a little worried that they wouldn't hold up, but they worked perfectly. Would recommend these to anyone who needs comfortable shoes that are still stylish and cute!

These shoes fit like a glove. Like, imaging putting a foot-shaped fleece glove on your foot - grips everywhere, ground feels natural, and yet the padding is a thing of beauty. They look great, feel great, and seem very well made. Love them!

I've always worn New Balance 442s, as I don't like a heavy bulky shoe. But as they have decided to quit making anything except solid white or black, I ordered these Asics as an alternative. To my surprise, this is a great shoe! Light as a feather, true fit, comfortable and nice looking. The only thing that would improve it is a notched heel. I'll be ordering more of these in the future.

I love these tennis shoes! I've had mine for nearly a year now (mine are kind of purple/magenta with pink stripes), and they have worn well. They are comfortable, cute, and they make my big size 10 feet seem a little smaller. They just have a nice fitted petite feel to them. I wish they offered more colors in women's sizing, I would love a pair of navy with powder blue stripes, and a black pair with grey stripes. I gave very narrow feet and worry the men's sizing would be too wide. Love these shoes though; perfect fit, and cute & comfortable.

Love these. For the record, the insole is not removable. It is glued down so technically you could pull it up. However, my orthotics still fit with the insole in. Win.

This is the second pair of serranos I have owned and they are my favorite of the Onitsuka Tigers. They are a lower profile shoe than the Ultimate 81s, meaning they may not give as much support but they feel comfortable, flexible, and I find them to be more aesthetically appealing. Arch support is lacking, but this is more a shoe for walking around the city than doing any serious physical challenge. I bought this pair in blue/green and although it is a men's color I find it to be slightly feminine so it is good for both genders. This is a great everyday tennis shoe. I only wish it had more color options, like the Ultimate 81s!

I love these and my other Onitsuka Tigers. These particular ones fit true to form, and just like other Tigers.

There was a previous review that said they ran a half size smaller for women and I found that to be true. Due to Zappos' excellent service there was no problem exchange them. I love them and they were comfy right out the box. Got the blue/orange/white combo. Most sneakers for women come in pastels or neon colors so I really love all the color choices Onitsuka has to offer. These are my first pair of Oni's but not my last.

These shoes are great. Really comfortable. Look nice with jeans and shorts. Would definitely recommend. I plan on buying another pair in a different color.

Bottom line, I would buy these shoes again. Very comfortable from day 1, more on the stylish side vs function but they are good for walking in the city. I have a narrow foot and they fit me well. I plan to get a second pair in a different color, you could say I love these shoes!

This is a pair of very comfortable shoes that has good fit through out.

Most comfortable trainer I have ever worn. I wear them all the time. I stand on my feet all day long and it feels like I'm wearing a pair of slippers. Love them. Will need a new pair soon.

Stylish and pretty comfortable, with a decent cushion for a low-profile shoe. Not sure what people are thinking about when listing the arch support as moderate or excellent: there really isn't anything there.

My husband loves these shoes. He has owned 6-7 pairs of the same style over last few years and keeps coming back to them all the time. They are true to the size, a little bit narrow over the toe area in the beginning, but they stretch out with wear. Super lite and comfortable.

Comfy insole, fun retro styling but the sole is curiously slick right out of the box when walking on tile. I found myself sliding down the handicap ramp (super slowly) while standing without moving my feet at all on my first wearing of these. By the third time out they had a safe level of traction but I was rather concerned I made a bad choice until then.

I used to have a pair of these back in high school (2000) that I wore so much the sole came off! LOVE LOVE LOVE these shoes! The pair I just ordered I wore to DC for three days straight, walking about 4-5 miles a day. They were comfortable for a lot of walking and standing. They do run a little narrow, so if you have wide feet you may have issues with them.

Second pair of tigers by Asics. I went with the Onitsuka Tigers this time - WOW! Great pair of everyday shoes. Look good, tight fit which makes it great for auto racing. Highly Recommended!

Asics never disappoint - I made the mistake of buying another brand after my last pair of Onitsuka Tigers wore out after a year of constant use, and honestly I couldn't wait to buy another pair of the Asics. Only real complaint is that they no longer have the black and white model that I had bought previously - think it was a Zappos exclusive.

This is my first time buying this particular type of shoe and I can't wait to buy more. The sole isn't thick but it feels like you are walking on gel. They are pretty narrow and a bit snug but still an amazing purchase. I will buy them again for sure.

A little snug, but after you break them in a bit it's a really comfortable fit. The canvas is prone to collecting dirt, but cleaning is as simple as wiping with a wet cloth.
