I bought these because I needed an everyday stable, walking around shoe. I prefer running shoes for this purpose, but ones that are not too squishy. I picked black to wear with jeans and they look sharp with their grey and white accents. I also like the updated heel design. I have an older grey pair and the heel was a little funky, almost orthopedic looking, with a greenish stripe in it. I got the 10.5 Wide (2E) and they are a little roomy, but that is what I prefer. To me, the only thing worse than tight shoes is tight pants. They are expensive, but made with quality.

The all black 993 with glow trim is the best looking 993 to date. Same great cushioning and durability, even better looking. I buy a new pair of 993s about every 60-90 days and have been since they were the 991s. I have owned 30 or more pairs of this shoe/series in the last 7 years. I'm a younger guy and the color selection of this New Balance shoe has always been lacking stylish options. Welcome to new colors! My feet have never felt so great or endured so much punishment as in my new balance 993s. But let's face it, the grey and standard black, despite their assured comfort, leave me looking 60+years old from the ankle down. I wear all of the colors of this shoe anyway. Mainly because no other shoe has the resilience that this one does. The cushioning and durability just can't be matched. I am very excited to see some variations in the colors offered. I just hope NB keeps up the rotation with new colors in the future.

I have been buying this shoe from Zappos for years. Great shoe, very comfortable and can be worn for semi-casual events.

I love my 993s. I think they are even better then the 992s. This is my second pair. I have one in gray and one in blue.

The same great model with a hip color. What\'s not to like! NB for wide feet are the best. More importantly, Zappos is such a good online shopping experience, I wish I could buy everything from them.

I am a hard one to fit. But New Balance is a great shoe company! They fit everyone and their shoes are very comfortable. I am a 6E shoe, but I can wear 4E in New Balance. This shoe fits perfect to specifications.

The 993 shoe is the replacement for the 992. I have worn 992s for several years. I walk 4 miles per day or about 25 miles a week. I get about 6 months wear or between 650 - 750 miles per pair of shoes. Since I wear orthotics, I replace the factory insoles with my orthotics and I am good to go. The shoe has got support and requires little if any break in.

These look great, but they are stiff as a board. The glow sole is like a board, these shoes have no cushioning and are grossly overpriced. Avoid these until the price is cut in half. Not a running shoe; can't believe these people have actually run in these.

These shoes were perfect for my boyfriend. We tried Pumas, but they were too narrow. He'd never had a pair of New Balance shoes before. They were the perfect fit after reading the reviews! We ordered them a half size bigger than his normal size like most others said. These are the best shoes with any outfit or sport!

I have ample experience with New Balance 990's series, the last few pairs have been the 992 models, this is my second pair of 993s. What can I say, the comfort, fit and stability are built into these shoes. I am a strider and walker due to injuries, so I am very careful of what I wear, the New Balance 993s cradle and support my feet and prevent overpronation and my knees are thankful. I recommend these shoes and New Balance for consistency in design and quality.

What more can I say! Great quality, great fit, great customer service as always from Zappos. Shoe feels like it actually has a sole under your feet, not to mention that it has a mature look to it, as well. The best New Balance I have ever owned!

The NB 993 is the follow on model to the NB 992 which I have used for quite some time. The NB 993 shoes arrived in a timely manner and were not damaged in transit. The shoe is everything I expected it to be, comfortable and durable. I highly recommend the shoe.

These are the only athletic shoes I\'ve worn in the past 5-6 years after my trainer recommended them. They have gone through a few revisions but still great fit and performance. Thanks New Balance and Zappos!

I have always liked New Balance Shoes and the fact they they used to be made in the USA. These NB 993's are incredibly comfortable shoes, probably the most comfortable athletic shoes I've ever owned. Quality Construction and, boy do they Look Good on my feet. Thanks Zappos, your customer service helped too.

Most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn. A little pricey, but worth every penny. They do run a little bit small so order up. Nice and roomy in the toe. Literally no break in time; they are great right out of the box. I called Zappos to return a different pair that were too narrow and received these less than 24 hours later! For free! No waiting for them to receive my return and no double charging of my credit card. Great shoes and fantastic customer service.

Excellent fit. I was able to purchase my size for a change. Moreover, I have the uncommon high instep and low arch foot problem. The look and weight of the shoe is right on. Great shoe for a big guy. Enjoy.

I was looking for a comfortable jogging shoe to replace cross trainers I had been using. These shoes fit the bill perfectly. I need a wide size; the toe box has plenty of room. The lacing pulls snug without binding. I haven't noticed any movement in the heel. The shoe is light weight and made of basic old school material (no plastic anywhere). While a little pricy I like the fact the shoe is certified "Made in the USA". Not many shoes of any kind can say that!

I've been a fan of the 991, and then the 992. 993 is just as good, fits a wide foot, and feels the same quality. Only difference is the heel seems a bit more prominent, some extra support back there. Got the blue, looks pretty cool.

I purchased these shoes thinking "It's just another pair of shoes that is only going to last a couple of months". In reality, they are still like new and I wear them every day and walk the dog in them (even after it rains). They are still comfortable and holding up fine.

To be fair, this is my first experience buying a pair of shoes where I had done research ahead of time about what to buy based on proper sizing and my particular gait. Having said that, these are the most excellent pair of sneakers I have ever owned! They feel like they support me where they should and they make it easy to walk correctly while being 100% comfortable and stylish. I do a lot of walking in them and have been very pleased. I would definitely buy these again (and in fact, already purchased a second pair), and as always, was very happy with my Zappos experience. The info I found that lead me to buying an appropriate shoe for my walk was directly from Zappos' website! Enjoy!

I have been running and jogging in this basic shoe for over 20 years. Its previous designs were heavier and I liked that because of the better and longer lasting cushioning. The delivery and service at Zappos was, as usual, 5 stars!!
