Wonderful calming colours - the mat has been my go to purchase for years. Unfortunatley, with every new Manduka Mat purchase practicing can be frustrating in the beggining. It is hard to get a good grip because of a thin oily texture on top of the mat. Other than patience I have yet to figure out a good way to remove this layer of protection to enjoy the practice right away.

Love the purple, love the softness of the mat BUT, slick, slick slick! I tried the salt method but it didn't help at all. I just didnt feel safe in my practice. Sad to say it had to go back.

Slippery in certain poses and not sure how to handle that. Dont want to do something that will ruin the mat.

Super great quality yoga mats. My wife loved her new one, mine is still holding up after years of use.

Its good for daily carry out to work out.

I am disappointed with my put. The mat is not thick enough and uncomfortable to practice on. Can it be exchanged for a different mat?

Very happy with it now, but I wish I had read the reviews prior to purchasing it myself first! There were no instructions included either so to feel how slippy it was during my first session was an alarming shock and a bit disheartening. [I also thought it was a bit larger - the ones Adriene Mishler uses in her videos look so big!] I searched around and, to my relief, I found some possible resolutions for the unstable slippery feel. I did not do the recommended break in process with salt, but simply wiped the mat down after each use with only a Norwex microfiber cloth and water and it's PERFECTLY fine now - in less than a week. I do see why it's referred to as the Rolls Royce of yoga mats. : ) I am happy I have one now and hope to get one for my daughter someday. I love that my Manduka mat is fairly earth friendly and safe. Great cushioning. LOVE it!

I love this mat so much! It's my second Manduka mat, and I have to say the quality is unbeatable. I love that it's truly meant to last!

Great for hot yoga. Doesnt hold moisture quick to dry

Very comfortable and supportive, but so slippery!

I love the pink, but I cant say the same for the rock (tan) color. It looks too washed out, or green, I was hoping for a lighter tanner color. This is a 4mm mat and Im used to a 6mm, and I can tell a difference! I practiced for 30 minutes and was sliding on my mat, and it wasnt a hot yoga class which I was really surprised by! Overall 7/10, not mad I bought it, but overall happy like I expected!

Its a great mat. Especially because you have more length. It does slip when sweaty so advice to use in combination with a towel.

I enjoy the overall quality. Time will tell if is as good as It looks. The break in process was confusing, especially after seeing 5 videos on how to break it and everyone does it differently. I think a simple clear video from manduka would be a great benefit.

The mat is beautiful BUT it has no grip at all :(

The yoga mat is great. The color shown is not what is looks like. The mat delivered was a much darker green. Functionality was fine, color was off. Not a big deal to me so I kept it.

I bought this a month ago like it but...way more slippery than I anticipated

I do like the thickness of the mat. However, it has been slippery due to some oily residue. I washed it with sudsy water which has made the grip a bit better, but my hands are still sliding in downdog. What more can I do?

I bought this mat a few weeks ago and I'm really glad I did! The hot yoga studio I go to rents Manduka mats, and I knew it would be perfect. The only reason I gave a 4 instead of a 5 is because the mat isn't as grippy as I had hoped at first - I didn't realize it would need to be broken in. However, I also have a yoga towel for on top which increases the grip. Overall, it is a good mat all on its on that will get better with time and use.
