I liked these boots and they were very comfortable, or seemed like they would be except that they were really tight on the calf, with no give. I have pretty small calves, too, so I can imagine they wouldn't at all fit anyone with average to above average sized calves. Too bad because they were pretty cute.

I loved these boots for a few years now but I was disappointed when they started cracking and peeling around the toes. I assumed it was just because I wore them so much but it seems other people are having similar problems very early on. The boots are warm and comfy (note that the wool inside is itchy if not worn with leggings - I do wish it was softer) but other than that - they are great! I was actually thinking about getting myself another pair - but with so many people having problems with the peeling after just a few times wearing them - I am a little put off! The layer of fake leather is so thin and once it starts cracking it just rubs off easily. I do also wish these boots were made from real leather!

Comfortable once I figured out how to zip them up without undoing the buttons on the sides. They are attached with elastic so stretch them out a bit as you zip up. They are lined with a bit of faux fur which is very nice and comfy. I am happy with these cuties.

I'm so disappointed that I cannot zip these boots up. I love them! I measured my calf because another reviewer said that if your calves are more than 15" around you may have trouble zipping them. My calves are only 14" but still way too big for these boots! They fit my 12 y/o daughter's calves perfectly, and hers measure 12.5". I hope this information will help other potential buyers! I don't know if the bootleg sized vary based on the shoe size but I ordered the 40 (8.5-9).

Really cool and stylish! I just need to trade them up for a half size larger because they seem to run small.

Ruh Roh! Love these boots. Even with pleather and not leather. Feel really good -- good room for your toes, warm, stable, easy to walk around in. The Ruh-roh part is the sole of the boot. It's soft black rubber that marks hardwood and tile floors when you walk around. I was shocked to see my kitchen floor filled with black streaks after I spent a few minutes in there in my boots. A further complication is that, because the rubber is so soft and scuffs off -- the heel is already worn down and looks like it will eventually just wear away altogether. the rubber gives you good grip, but what good will it be when it's all worn away and the top of the boot looks like new?

Ruh-roh! I love the boots. They fit perfectly, they are very comfy, and the lining will keep my legs nice and warm this winter. They look pretty groovy, too, especially with leggings or skinny jeans, But...the gray boots, with black sole...have left giant, dark skid marks all over my wood floors! I'm hoping that it will eventually stop, but what if it doesn't? It's bad -- not just a couple, but I turned and saw my dry, clean kitchen floor filled with the marks. When I wipe them, they rub off like a pencil eraser - little gritty bits of rubber. Quandary -- love and need the boots, but how many floors might I mark up? How long will it go on?

Amazingly cute & comfortable boot, but not leather, so damage to the thin outer layer tears into holes. Still very nice - not really plastic either, so they can be worn without socks. Very tight on the calf - I can't wear tall, thick socks & leggings, but I have muscular calves.

I love these boots, but the buttons keep popping off! Can I return them? I have taken them to the shoe repair shop 3 times now!

Great boot if comfort is what you're looking for. I can wear these under my pants if I'm going for the look of a loafer. Overall, super comfy, but I had to order a half-size larger due to the cushioning in the foot bed.

Loved these boots. They were so comfortable and could be worn without socks. However, I received them as a gift and I am allergic to wool, so I had to exchange them.

I bought these boots in black. They are very comfortable, but hit lower on my calves than expected 3-4 inches below knee. I am 5'8" and didn't realize all my height was right there (It's not, the boots are a tad short.) The wool interior/lining is itchy, really, it is. However, I get used to it after about an hour or so. I would recommend to a friend. I really appreciate how comfortable they are for walking around city streets.

These boots are great. They feel solid and well made, yet very flexible and comfortable to walk in. One thing I'd like to underline for other folks is that these are not leather. It's right there in the description, but some other websites do list them as leather. Despite that, they feel great, look great, don't make your feet sweat, etc. I have not had them long enough to comment on how they wear or last. Something that surprised me is these came up in a search for flat boots, so I was expecting them to be flat. If you look at the pictures and video, they certainly look flat; however, there is an internal wedge heel of about 1 inch. I was looking for boots without a positive heel, and they certainly looked to fit the bill, but they in fact don't. Again - they are very comfortable and they fit great. They seem like really well made boots so far. I'm keeping them despite the surprise heel.

Very cute boots, but I generally wear a 7-7.5 and the 38 was a bit tight in the width and length. I have been waiting for week for them to be available in my size and color, and now they don't fit. Guess I will have to wait for a pair of 39s now! :(

These were cute shoes, but I found they ran small. I ordered a half-size larger (8/39) than my usual size and I still could barely zip them up over my 13" calves. I tend to have a huge problem with boots gapping, but these were way too tight. I also thought the lining was super itchy, so they shoes quickly became non-contenders for my new winter boots. I ended up going with the Rieker "Dena" Boots which fit me much better in my normal size (7.5/38).

I absolutely loved these boots, but unfortunately on both pairs I had the zippers broke and the vegan material disintegrated :(

Smaller than most due to lining. The synthetic leather was not appealling

I first bought these boots in store in healdsburg California. My first rieker with many many to follow. Have these in three colors but yesterday I notice some of the leather is peeling off on the toes. Love them they are so comfortable! Wear all day! So I will buy another black pair to replace but think they wore out pretty fast. The soles could walk 1000 more miles! I live in CA so I only wear them sometimes (have many boots) in a few winter months. Want to buy in case they become unavailable.

These boots are gorgeous but not true to size descriptions. I have around a size 13.5-14" calf,but with the interior lining I couldn't even begin to zip these up my bare legs. I'm usually a 7-7.5 but I ordered a size 8 for extra sock room and only fit barefoot. The faux leather is really excellent quality. I only wish they had a wider size . . .

I love these boots. They are amazingly comfy and my first pair of Reekers. I got them in red, and get compliments all the time. The only thing, as others have mentioned is that the wool in the leg area is itchy. The awesome thing about these boots is that they actually hug my calves - but are stretchy enough to accommodate bigger calves. I always have issues with the calves being too wide - so that was a great surprise!

I have actually bought three pairs of these boots over the past few years, because they are so comfortable. I love the wool lining and the worn in feeling. It should be noted that they are not leather, which appeals to some. They are not at all weather resistant; the buttons come off easily ( I have safety pinned most of mine back on; the smoke seem to hold up better than the brown which peels and also the zipper on the brown broke pretty quickly. You may ask why would a person buy more of something that falls apart? Well, comfort and cute go a long way.

These boots are cute. Sadly, they are not knee high, otherwise I would have kept them. Tall ladies, be warned! These came up more like tall calf boots which just isn't very flattering on me. Otherwise, they would have been great. (I'm 5'7).

I love Riekers and they are always comfortable, but I felt that the leather and style were too cheap looking and I sent these back.

These were very cute boots and I really wanted them to work but they were WAY small. I would normally be a 9.5/41 and even the 42 in these felt really tight. Mainly I think it was due to the fact that I have a high arch and these boots are very low across the top. Bummer. Don't buy if you have high arches.

I was very sad to have to return these boots because I could not zip them up over my calves. I have average/normal sized calves so I was surprised this was a problem. I normally wear an 8 or 8½ and I ordered a 8½ which felt like the perfect size in the foot with Smartwool socks on. The boots felt warm and well padded and looked great. They are just too small in the calf.
