So disappointed that I have to return. Size 8 fits, but the heel rides up when you walk due to how wide the heel box is. If I were to order down (even just 1/2 size which they don't offer) then the toes would be squeezed in the front. So I don't see any way to resolve this. I will just have to pass on the EMU Alba. Too much money not to fit perfectly.

What a funky, cool-looking boot. The leather straps and buttons at the back differentiate them from other shearling boots. The diagonal top seams makes them a bit more slimming than those that are straight across. HOWEVER, I have to return them because there is no heel cup at all. The inside back goes straight up and doesn't hold the foot in place. A bit of walking with my heel slipping all over the place and I knew these would rub blisters in no time. Too bad, these were cute boots.

I buy EMU's because they usually have better arch support than Uggs. I have unusually high arches. This pair did not. They make me walk very flat footed. Once my heel hits, the toe just slaps down on the ground. There is no smooth roll to my step. They are not as black as I expected. They are a dusty, muted or charcoal black. I wore them once and one of the buttons on the back buckle came off. So I exchanged for another pair, a very easy process from Zappos. Definitely love that. They are cute though and maybe this next pair will fit better.

These boots are super cute and felt true to size. The only problem I had with it was that my heels would slip up and down while I walked in them. Otherwise I would have kept them. I really like the style and felt that the soles had good traction.

I had the same exact problem as another reviewer. I wear a size 9 and purchased a 9 in this boot. The fit was very strange, my toes were rubbing at the front end and yet the heel slipped as if they were too big. Not comfortable at all for walking. I have worn a different style of Emu Australia boots the past couple of years and have liked them very well. There is something not quite right about the way this particular style has been made, I guess? I am returning because at this price I expect the boot to feel good. If it were a very inexpensive boot I could probably live with it.

I think these are very cute boots. They are terrible boots for comfort and fit. The do not run small as Uggs do, but they are so wide in the heel it is silly. So think short fat feet I guess. No padding. I don't know what to think...some say 'like pillows' but I had no padding in the foot bed. What the heck? Very disappointing. The feel was not soft either, no supple suede, but much more like cheap knock offs. I do love my Uggs, and am not at all against buying another brand, so it has to be this style. I have a pair of old Emu that I adore. They are still soft and those are pillow soft...these sucked.
