Where is the rest of the padding? The heel is heavily padded with a very thick cushion that hugs your foot, provides arch support and height. It goes down hill from there. Literally. The padding stops abruptly, leaving the ball of your foot with no cushioning at all. What makes matters worse is due to the height of the heel, all your weight shifts to the ball of your foot, which, like I said, has no cushioning. So you feel every step on your hardwood floors. Not what I would look for in a slipper. I needed padding especially on the ball of my foot, due to an injury. But this slipper was the opposite of comfortable for me.

I am on my second pair of these puppies after the first pair lasted...wait for it...thirteen years. I love them and the arch support is superb, but I wanted to leave a review to advise buyers to ignore the size chart suggested by Giesswein: a 38 is most definitely not a US 7, but more of a true 8. I wear a 7.5 and had ordered a 39 and a 38 to try. The problem with wearing a pair that's too large is that while they may not feel roomy, per se, the arch will not be in the right location, and the fur lining the sides won't hug the sides of your foot the way it should. I recommend ordering in your true size, or sizing down if you're a half size.

My teenage daughter says: "I love them; I love the color (purple); they remind me of rabbits and they smell nice". She wears them every day when she comes home from school, and so far they have lasted well.

Bought these because I wanted a feminine, fluffy, warm slipper. They are great BUT they do not have fluff on the top of the inside -- in other words, when wearing, only the bottom of your foot feels fluff, the top does not. I was not expecting that. And if I had realized that when buying, I may have opted for some Uggs slippers instead -- same price point. I would send these back for a fully fluff lined pair of slippers, but they're on my feet right now and they are still warm and comfortable, so they stay. Despite the glaringly obvious design flaw, overall they do deserve 4 stars. Fit note: I'm usually a 9.5 and these fit in a size 9.

Love these slippers! When I first stepped in them, I thought they were too hard - not enough cushion. But I realized after I wore them a few hours that they are the most supportive and comfortable slippers I have ever owned. I was an Ugg slipper devotee but these slippers have them beat! My only wish is that they had a rubber sole. Maybe they will add that in the future???

Tissue runs very narrow I do not have a wide foot but the outsides of my foot we're sitting over the edge of the so insole in the slipper. So it feels like there is a arch support on the outside of the foot. Also the bottoms of them are made out of white lambskin so even walking around on the carpet and one day they don't look returnable. I would only buy this slipper if you have an incredibly narrow foot.

Just bought my second pair of these. Love them so much because they are extremely cozy. The first pair lasted four years until a staple finally started poking through at the toe. Note that I wore these every minute of everyday while at home, so they held up fairly well. As usual, Zappos customer service was the best.

My wife loves my christmas gift! She wears the slippers whenever we are at home. She is happy which means I am happy!

These are great slippers, extremely comfortable. I buy a pair for my Mom, who is in her 70's, and she wears them daily. The arch support is great for those that need a little more support than a regular slipper.

These slippers are lovely. I've been eyeing them for a while because they have some internal support for arches. When they arrived I found them to be comfortable and supportive, although I thought they would have a little more arch support than they do. Loved the plum colored slippers.

These are the yummiest slippers ever! the fur is so soft, silky, lustrous. The brownish/gray color is so beautiful that I leave them out where I can see them. There's even an arch support in them, which feels great and helps keep them on! And I think they'll last forever. Worth the price!

They are very warm, just what I need for cold mornings. A little stiff until I walked around and broke them in.

I am in search of a slipper that has arch support, a soft bottom and a plush material. I can't find all 3 in one. This I bought for it's solid arch support but find I don't like how hard the sole is and don't like the wedge heel. Some people may love them, they are well made and a nice material. But couldn't there be a layer of memory foam over the arch support?

More than disappointed. I expected a plush, padded comfortable slipper with arch support. Plush, yes, but felt like I was walking on a hardwood floor. Poor design.

This is my 3rd pair of these slippers. I keep coming back because I love them. I have a high instep and appreciate the arch support. In addition, the slippers are soft and warm, but with an open back, not too warm.

I definitely would never buy these again the arch support almost feels like one of those half inserts that you stick into your shoes you almost feel a arch support on the outside of your foot. Feels awkward and almost forces your ankles to roll in a little bit.

These slippers have a rich warmth. The entire slipper is the same fabric, not as often is with slippers, that the outside is pretty and looks warm, then the inside is some flimsy covered cardboard. Because the fabric is natural, there is not the discomfort of foot sweat pooling around one's foot which happens in shoes or clothes made of chemical fiber. There is comfortable arch support and the rest of the foot can relax inside this slipper.

I love these slippers! I have plantar fasciitis and was looking for slippers with support and the proper heel height and these are perfect! If only I could find work shoes with the same footbed! Also I love how soft the soles are and the fluffiness. I wear them every second that I am at home. I normally wear a 9½ and these 10 fit perfectly.

I returned these. They had arch support, but the sole was made of skin and my floor felt hard when I wore them.

I'm on my 4th pair of these slippers so, obviously, I like them. But---they don't wear well. I get one season's wear out of them. The inside gets all flattened and the lining is worn out. Also, the heel is worn down. I don't wear them outside.

First of all, these slippers are a gorgeous deep blue and the shearling feels lovely. I saw that many people like having a firm shoe bed and if this is what you want, then this is the slipper for you. I have fragile feet and I require a soft cushy slipper, so these were not comfortable for me. I tried them on and immediately returned them. Thank you Zappos for your easy returns. I love you!??

I usually wear a true 9 1/2 so I ordered the 41 in this slipper a 10 and it was too small so I ordered a 42 a size 11 and was surprised it fit. In this slipper you need to order at least a full size up and if you were in between sizes I would order a size and a half up.

I have been hunting for a slipper with enough support and cushion for me to be able to walk comfortably. I have an injured Achilles tendon, as well as a few other issues, and can't function with hard or flat insoles in a slipper or shoe (so Ugg slippers are out). When I saw this slipper,(Giesswein Gerolding) I was in love. So beautiful, soft, elegant! I read the reviews, saw the mention of arch support, and ordered. Earlier I had tried on a different model slipper by the same company at a retail store, and it ran very large. This one, on the other hand, runs small. I first got a 37, then a 38, but still too short. I didn't bother to go any larger, however, since it turns out that this isn't my main problem with the slipper. The insole is molded with an arch support, yes (although not as much as I would like), but for some reason, it also has a similar size rise on the outside edge of the foot, opposite the arch. I can't figure out why anyone would want that. It's actually painful. If it were a soft material, I imagine it would compress down after a while, but it's very hard, and very uncomfortable. The part under the toes, while not hard, is not nearly cushioned enough. These are slippers, after all! Why aren't they more cushy? I'm so sorry to have to return these. They are truly very lovely.
