I work on stage as a lighting and set builder. 16+ hour days are normal and wearing work boots the whole time cause blisters and sweaty feet. These shoes work great to resole all those issues and still conform to Osha requirements. They feel like I am wearing a regular tennis shoe and they fit great!

This is a great work shoe that provides great toe protection without the steel toe (which is too cold in winter), and excellent tread on the bottom. I will buy another pair of these shoes when they do need replacing, but with the great craftsmanship of the shoes, I do not think that will be for a long while.

The shoes have great traction in the snow and not too bulky. They fit great, but almost feel a half size too big, but this doesn't make them uncomfortable or awkward. The shoes felt great from the first time I wore them (12 hour day) with no discomfort. The composite toe is great for not having to remove your shoes when going through metal detectors! No more steel toes for me. Have not tested the durability of the composite toe yet.

This is hands down one of the best pairs of shoes I have ever purchased. I go through shoes very quickly, and this shoe has stood the test of time. I purchased over 6 years ago, and they are still comfortable (I always use insoles in all shoes) and have amazing traction. Originally purchased for work (FedEx driver), every day use in all different types of weather (Colorado), and I still wear them when weather is less than ideal. Always sturdy, and I feel confident walking through any type of weather and on any type of surface. Composite toe is not cold in the winter, toes are still warm, and it has saved my feet more than several times. I highly suggest this shoe, especially in work environments, construction, docks, heavy machinery, anything outdoor. Solid shoes and a solid buy.

I have been wearing work shoes with the safety toes for three years and have always hated it. They have always been so heavy and the toe was a stumbling hazard. NOT so with these shoes, they are GREAT, and light weight. I would recommend them for anyone. I forget that I even have them on.

This shoe is a half size large. I'll be returning mine for the next size down. Otherwise, the sole was comfortable with good support and great flexibility. Uppers also seemed well constructed and were comfortable to wear. Toe cap may be a bit small, as I could feel the edges rubbing my big and small toes. I'll probably get the soft toe version when I re-order.

These shoes fit so well and exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort that just a few weeks after purchasing my first pair, I ordered another pair of the same size. And even use them when skydiving as they have proven to be great foot support for my landings.

Loved this right out of the box. However, after less than 9 months, there is already a hole in the right sole after moderate wear. Wet foot whenever the ground is wet.

This shoe had about a week break in period. During this time there were a few hot spots (back of the ankle, and around the toe). There doesn't seem to be much insole support in these shoes. These shoes do hold up well. I am pretty rough on these shoes at work kicking around boxes and pallets and so far there are very little signs of wear and tear (after 6 months).

I had a pair of Cat work boots years ago and they were awesome. I figured these would be the same. They are terrible. Very uncomfortable. I pulled the insole and it was less than 1/16th of an inch thick with very little arch support. I think if I buy a gel insole they will be fine but at over $100 I should not have to.

I only gave it 4 stars because you will need to buy inserts for sole and arch comfort but it's a well made shoe. They have a new life customer. I bought a shoe insert for comfort and ordered a half size smaller. The shoe insert was amazing. It made these more comfortable than my sneakers. At the end of the day with sneakers I was rushing to take them off. But not these. But I can't stress enough the importance of the shoe insert. The toe was fabulous. Not to hot or sweaty and I didn't feel a thing when my feet got nicked. Glad I bought it.

Both my husband and I are required to wear steel toe for work. I order this shoe for both of us. I found that there was too much padding at the toe and not enough at the ball of my foot for all day wear. He found them to be comfortable enough, but they ripped within 3 hours of wearing them. Not exactly a great thing for a work shoe. Shoes will be returned, but Zappos, as always, is awesome.

These are more of a torture device than shoes. The heel of my feet were developing callouses due to constant rubbing with hard plastic that was exposed after only a few days of use and creating holes in all my socks. My ankles were also rubbing against the rigid and hard shoe collar making walking extremely uncomfortable, I thought it would break in after a few weeks of wearing but it only got worse. adding insoles kind of helped by raising my foot a few centimeters higher so that I am not rubbing the shoe collar as much but then I still had to deal with the plastic on my heels. I had to stop wearing them and switch back to an older pair of a different brand.

Very pleased with this shoe. My wife likes the looks as well and is considering purchasing herself a pair. I had just purchased a new pair of Adidas and decided to use the same size on this order as that pair. Worked perfectly for size. The shoes do need broken in (which I expected), but so far they are comfortable and much lighter then the work boots I was using. I believe by the end of the shift they will be broken in... LOL. All in all great shoe and price.

Size and width are good. The sole is a little lacking so if you plan on being on your feet for long hours I would recommend some kind of inserts. Other then that I'm happy with the quality of these shoes.

I had been looking for a good sturdy work shoe for quite a while. I do maintenance work and am on my feet just about all day 5 days a week. I wear a size 9 men's and have a pretty wide foot and high arch. I've been wearing these Caterpillar Argon shoes for a few weeks now everyday to work. Overall I do like them. It's taken some time for them to feel "broke in" The width on them has been good for my feet, and they seem to give me some pretty good arch support and they don't feel to bulky as shoes go. The only two draw backs for me so far is they feel about a half size to large and they are a pretty hot shoe, meaning my feet get real hot during these upper 80's and 90+ degree days where I live. I think for me they will be better in the fall and winter months. I really can't speak yet to how long they will hold up long term. I tend to go through work shoes/boots pretty fast.

Size men's 9.5E, I'm a 49 yr old female (women's 11D, I've always had wide feet, thus at times wear men's, (Especially for a cas like this) . I liked them right out of the box. Nice looking shoe, a little toe heavy(to be expected) but overall not heavy. True to fit, true to width, was even comfortable across toes during squat and flex foot (picking up heel while squating down) , however,,,,MY only negative (so much that I'm returning) is the height of the heel back, rubs he bend above heel , the Achilles, , and for only walk around livingroom, so uncomfortable. Shame, I really wanted these to work. See backing, compared to my Merrill hiking shoe which is perfect. I'll be paying close attention going forward. Hope this helps someone

Sole was extremely stiff and inflexible. Like walking with heavy 2×4s attached to my feet, width was pinching my dogs up against the sides causing major blisters and calluses.

These are the most uncomfortable shoes that I have ever purchased. They are heavy with no arch support or insole at all. For the money I paid for t these shoes I shouldn't have to go out and spend more money for insoles just to make them wearable. This is the second pair of shoes and both suck.

Shoes looked great. The first day wearing them, the steel toe on my left shoe was digging into my big toe. Had to stretch it out immensely to work in them. There’s no arch support what so ever and now have to by insoles to feel more comfortable. Honestly, these shoes kinda suck.

These shoes look and feel great, but my husband noticed a big tear at the seam where the fabric meets the sole after just 1 day of very light wear. I just read the reviews on Amazon and many people have had the same issue. Terrible quality shoe.
