These sneakers are great my husband loves the wide width! Best is we ordered on 4th of July around 3pm in the afternoon and received them on the very next day. Service that Zappos provides is the best!

Big footers! Attention! OK, look no further because this is your shoe. True to its size! If you feel like you have the foot of a caveman, like myself so get the wider version and fall in love!

Well made --this is my 2nd pair --the others are wearing out after many walking miles. The toe wrap started to un glue on my old ones(re glued and that fixed it) -very good build other than that. Comfortable after installing thicker insoles.

How to address squeaking: Right up front, when they start to squeak - and they will - just remove the insole and add a good amount of powder. Replace the insole (or replace with a better 3rd party version like Dr. Scholls), and walk around for a bit to work the powder into the interior of the sole. You will be squeak-free for weeks or even months. Repeat whenever the squeaking crops up, and you're golden. I've been wearing Air Monarch IV's as my go-to shoe for at least 12 years. A pair usually lasts around 3-4 years before they wear out or experience separation somewhere between the upper and the sole. They are extremely comfortable, and with a really nice gel insole replacement, they are even more comfortable. I can't recommend them enough, and am just so happy they're still making them after all these years. One other caveat: The shoelaces will wear out within a year or two and need to be replaced. They usually snap while tying at some point, so just be prepared.

Purchased these very basic all black shoes for work. I needed something with a solid toe and they couldn’t contain any mesh due to my line of work. They’re pretty comfortable and offer decent arch support. The only issue I have with these shoes is they are annoyingly noisy. They squeak so bad and make so much noise when you move in them. They are definitely not deserving of the title sneakers. Other than the annoying sounds they make, the shoe is pretty good. The price could be a bit lower on such a basic squeaky shoe as well.

How hard can it possibly be to make a shoe true to size? Apparently beyond the capability of Nike (and others). I’ve always worn 10.5 but these are way too short in length and a bit snug in width. I’ll try size 11 because I’ve always liked these shoes for walking. But really, it just shouldn’t be this difficult to get the right fit. BTW Zappos customer service is excellent.

This is my go-to shoe for work, it has most importantly the cushioning for being on your feet for the entire working day. It also offers the support needed for work. Overall it's a decent shoe, and the price is not ridiculous. What would be nice is some variety to the color scheme, black, white, one color combo with navy, and black, and a nice looking white one with neon yellow outlining on the swoosh (oh but of course that one was not in 4E) big shocker there. But I guess we're reviewing the shoe here, and not the lack of respect that many manufacturers and retailers have when it comes to carrying different width schools.

This is for red, black, and white color. Although they do get noisy after you've been wearing them awhile they are nicely comfortable. I work at a job that I'm on my feet most of the day and these have enough cushioning that my feet never get to hurting on the bottom, as other shoes I've tried didn't do that so well, so I keep buying this kind time after time. They last at most about two years and it'd be nice if they lasted longer is all.

I've purchased this particular shoe for many years. For whatever reason this shoe now appears to be much narrower than years past. I've recently purchased from 2 different stores and had to return on both occasions as the show was not wearable due to the narrowness that impinges the little toe. Extremely uncomfortable and would not recommend purchasing.

The cushioning and build quality seems really good on these shoes, but they are relatively pointed in the toe, even in the size 4E I ordered. I have nearly rectangular feet, and they put undue pressure on my toes. If your feet are narrower, give them a try, but if wide in the toes, check elsewhere. I really liked how they felt in the heel when walking around, but can't wear shoes that blister my toes.

Extremely comfortable! I have had several pairs over the years, it always the go to shoe when out gallivanting round. Tried wearing them to work, not good if you work in my field which is truck/travel centers. Extremely slick on wet tiled floors or kitchen areas and slick on truck diesel fueling islands also. And in the hot GA and FL heat they don't breathe well enough to work in. If you're looking for a cheap comfy shoe to beat around in though, these are are definitely it.

As I have wide feet, I like the 4E available. I wish it was available in all colors. The shoes are very comfortable, but develop a very loud squeaking noise with every step on carpet, concrete rock. I would like to continue buying but am very leery of the squeak. Hopefully this issue has been addressed by Nike.

I spend most of my days on my feet and walking, which is why I choose the Nike Air Monarch. I'm not a small guy, so this shoe takes a beating and still provides comfort for the long haul. If you use insoles, put some powder between the insole and the shoe--or you'll squeak a lot. I've been wearing Nike Air Monarchs for five years, and I go through about two pairs a year.

Comfortable shoes. But these like all other Nikes run a size small for me, so I have to order a size larger.

My husband LOVES them. I would not have chosen them - rather clunky-looking, a big fat black sneaker, but at the end of a long day on his feet, he just grins and says, "Wow, I'm glad I bought these!" Style is a 3 or 4 rating, comfort is a 10. They run true to size.

These are well made sneakers. A word of caution, these run very narrow. I bought them for my dad. Ordered a size 9 and they were just too tight around the width of his foot. Sent them back and ordered a 9½. Still too narrow. I ended up ordering different sneakers for him. As always, Zappos' customer service was awesome!

A Nike staple. This shoe is a great value for the money. I've owned several pairs over the years and they seem to be constructed well. Most importantly, it's the only Nike that I know of that has a true D width. Almost all Nikes are too narrow for me. You can take any other Nike in a D width and it is much narrower than this shoe in a D width. As far as Zappos goes...well, they are simply the best!

I needed a walking shoe with a thick, comfortable sole. This one does the job. I originally ordered the "D" width, which is what I usually wear. However, they felt a bit tight; so I replaced them with the "4E." A good shoe at this price point.

These are VERY noisy, squeaking with every step. Otherwise decent and allowed me to walk all over San Francisco for a week which is amazing for my poor old feet!

First, let me say I love these shoes. I have bought this same model of shoes for the past 7+ years. I currently have 3 pairs in my house for varying levels of dirty work. But I will agree with other reviewers that these shoes squeak...a lot. But I have a solution for that. I first tried dusting them inside and out with talcum powder. It helped, but didn't fix the problem, and the squeaks got worse. What finally worked was to carefully peel the liner out of the shoes and then liberally dust with talcum/baby powder. Perfectly silent ever since that day.

I'm on my 7th pair of these. They are good but they do tend to squeak after some time. I will continue to purchase them. I think they are better than New Balance.

Good looking shoe. Cleans up nicely. Comfortable but heavier than anticipated. Used to more of a running shoe style/weight. Love the fact it doesn't have that crappy plastic look Nike has been putting on their shoes the past few years. All leather or canvas.

I bought the shoes for work. Be careful for slippery tiles; it doesn't have too much traction. Comfortable, good support. I work standing on my feet all day so it does a good job with that. Heavy though not for sports.

Most comfortable leather shoe I have ever worn. Wish they would make it look a little bit cool, even if they want to charge more. Drop the pull-up tab and add a red swoosh and you've got a cool and comfortable shoe.
