I bought the same shoe at Macy’s in size 11 1/2 and 12. 12 was a little big and the 11 1/2 is perfect. I wanted an 11 1/2 In black so I ordered on Zappos. Macy’s was out. The shoes are not long enough. My toe hits the front. Probably made in another country.

After several weeks, the shoes started squeaking. Not the bottom of the soles on a slick surface. Inside the shoe on _any_ surface. And loudly, too. Horrible design if they do that (I now see it in other reviews.)After 6 weeks, they still didn't feel broken in an we're starting to cause excess pain in some spots that I expected to smooth over after that long and using cushy socks. Not so. But, they were extraordinarily cheap, so what did I expect?

These are really great looking shoes. Unfortunately, they are WAY too small. I purchased a 9.5, (Med width) and I not only have about 40 pairs of shoes, boots and other footwear this size, but I've been wearing the same size for over 30 years. I expected them to be a little narrow until they break in, as I usually wear about a D....bu these are both excessively narrow and feel like at least 3/4 a size too short. Might I also mention, this is also the 3rd pair of Nike Air Monarch 4 (same size) I have purchased as my primary walking/running shoe. The first pair I wore out (holes in the bottom) after at least 700 miles....so not only do I think they are good shoes, in general, but also warranted buying additional pairs. I'm really sorry these didn't work out....again, they look really great and seem to be of usual great construction. I don't know....poor QC at Nike is all I can figure.

I have always been a huge Nike fan. But this is the second pair of Nike's that I've purchased lately and I couldn't be more disappointed! It appears to me that Nike has switched factories and they are now using a lower quality leather than in the past. Shoes are super narrow and do not feel comfortable at all! I hate to say but I think this will be the last pair of Nike shoes that I'll ever buy. Thank goodness for Zappos return policy!

I was disappointed in the shoe's style. It looked very old school when received as opposed to the pictures online. I returned mine.

I could not get a pair of these that fit properly. It was a very strange experience. I finally gave up trying but I did like the style and feel.

Bought this same shoe in 2014 and loved it, but it is time to replace them. Original made in China and fit well out of the box. Theses shoes were made in Indonesia and seemed somewhat smaller as soon as I put them on. The left shoe was unbearable! Something where the tongue and shoe were sewn together was really rough and hurt my foot. It felt like they missed a piece of the padding or something, so even if they had fit they would have still been uncomfortable. These seem cheaply made and much smaller than they used to be so I would not recommend them.

Not leather upper. Narrow for a D width. Uncomfortable.

This is the second pair I have purchased, of these shoes. The last pair lasted almost a year, before the soles were completed worn out. This pair lasted only 2 months before wearing out and making a crunching sound. The back of one of the shoes has deformed inside, feels like plastic got misaligned. The soles are fine, but after an additional month (3) they look like crap. I don't run or jog in them, but they did not last the very least... I will not be purchasing these again.

These look a lot better online, the sneaker is actually pretty bulky. Once you start running in these are really uncomfortable. I tried playing basketball in these, my feet were hurting afterward of how rigid that sneaker truly is.

These shoes were much, much too small. It seems as though they were mislabeled. Trying to break them in was not even an option. They had to be returned.

Amazing how loud they are every step I take I am reminding I am wearing them plan to exchange them for another brand!

If the engineers who put the noise into this style could simply remove it, these would be shoes worth buying and wearing. I bought a pair despite the comments warning of the noise and figured "how bad could it be?" _Very_ bad! There are few Nike Air styles available in mostly or all black (I'm kinda Amish), so I've also tried Attero and Mavin, which are lighter and can more easily substitute for casual or dress shoes. But no mo Monarch.

Not sure what is going on with the quality on this shoe that I have enjoyed for some time, but I would normally get 4 to 5 months out of them and last pair only lasted 2 months. One more try, but it may be time to switch brands

I have worn over four dozen pairs of Nike shoes, and these were the most uncomfortable Nike shoes that I have ever worn. The arch was so stiff it was like walking with a golf ball in my shoe. I should have realized that they were terrible when they did not arrive in a Nike box, but in a plain, brown box. Someone smarter than I had already returned them.

My first pair squeeked but were very comfortable im on my second pair they do not squeek but they hurt my feet . Maybe they over corrected.

My first purchase from Zappos. Ordering was quick and easy. Shoes arrived in just 2-3 days. Have worn several pairs of the NIKE Monarch over the last few years. This pair, however, just does not 'fit' my feet well. Wore them once to work and though they would get more comfortable as the day wore on. Never happened. Will wear my old Monarchs until I find a pair of shoes that supply me with the comfort I need. Does ZAPPOS exchange shoes that have been worn one time?

These shoes are a great especially for a wide foot fit. But they are the squeakiest noisiest pair of shoes I have ever owned. The squeaking occurs every time you take a step but it doesn't start right away. It starts after about a year of regular everyday wear; shoes at that point are far from worn out, look ok and remain comfortable. But the noise makes them almost unusable.

These are the most comfortable pair of shoes that I have ever worn, and I have been wearing this brand of shoes for seven years now. The first couple of pairs were great, and so when they came back on the market, I snatched up another four pairs. I regret this immensely, as the quality of the Air Monarchs dropped considerably when they went from Air Monarch IIIs to Air Monarch IVs. They are still comfortable, but within a month, each pair would produce a loud, terrible squeaking noise with each step. I took meticulous care with one pair not to ever step in puddles or wear them while it was raining, so it is not that they have gotten wet, it is just what the shoes do, without fail. I am a very large man (6'4", 300 pounds), so that might have something to do with the squeaking - I am not sure, and I doubt it - but it is unbearable. People can hear me coming from over a hundred feet away, and remark on it quite often. Do not buy these shoes if you like walking quietly.

Very comfortable shoes. I'm on my 3rd pair of these but will not be buying them again. Every pair I've had develops an annoying squeak long before the rest of the shoe wears out. I love them right up to the point they start squeaking. Seems to be a design flaw as it has happened eventually in all 3 pairs. Time to find another shoe for my next purchase.

Same as another reviewer - these were great for awhile now they "squeak" when I walk. I have never had a pair of athletic shoes squeak.

Not comfortable...feels like concrete after a while. Causes weird pressure points on the sides of my feet. Runs tight. Makes a strange squeaky sound when you walk. The experience buying from Zappos was good, but the shoes themselves are terrible. Would never buy these again.

As per many prior comments the shoes "squeak" and have worn similar for years, maybe Nike could spend an additional 5 cents per shoe on glue? Returned.

The shoe felt a little narrow when I first started wearing it. I expected that would go away after a break-in period, but it never did. After just a few months the insoles started squeaking with every step I took. Now it's become so loud that I worry I'm distracting co-workers when I walk past their offices.

The noise is terrible. They are very comfortable,but now have fallen apartand they are not that old. Would not buy again.
