I had to get a size 7 instead of my usual 6.5. The extra length was what I needed, but the accompanying extra width was a problem. Even with the boot tightly laced, my foot and instep and ankle were swimming in that excess space. So sorry I had to give up on them, as these boots are beautifully made and in a simple, enduring style.

I waited for a discount, and a coupon to purchase these boots. They are a wise investment, but they may outlive me! My last Frye boots are well loved, never pampered, and still looking great! These boots have a sturdy base with plenty of stability. The heel height is perfect. I have so enjoyed them over the last few weeks. The color ? Wine? Suede is so sharp. Im taking them to Key West for lots of walking on vacation. They were worth the wait!

They run small so definitely order a half-size up. Very pleased with these!

The quality of the leather is great. The boots are a bit stiff and could use an orthopedic insert/padding.

These boots are rugged and cute at the same time. I wore my Veronica Combat Boots (in Caramel) every day throughout our 3-week honeymoon safari in Tanzania. Wore them with khakis, dresses, shorts, and leggings. They were perfect with cute safari outfits. They came back looking worn and better than when they were new. IMO, these DEFINITELY fit 1/2 size small, which means I ordered 1/2 size larger than normal and the fit is perfect with thin (unpadded) wool socks. I'm actually uncertain why some reviewers claim they fit true to size. I used Skidmore's leather cream to keep the leather supple without darkening the leather and to help break them in before our trip. Breaking them in is critical to comfort. These will literally last a lifetime...and when not wearing them on safari they will be especially cute with Fall outfits.

I love the look of these combat boots. The wine color in suede is so nice! I ordered a 6 1/2. The fit was great. There is some wiggle room in the toe area and it was comfortable right off the bat!! These look well made and will last forever. I luuv these boots!!

These boots are very well made and feel great. My only complaint is that the laces are a bit short.

I tried calling customer service & you are directed to send an email. No response. I ordered these boots with weather protection but it does not say it anywhere on the order or slip. I had a 30% off which is why I ordered the protection because it came to the sale price. Other than that it is a high quality boot fits well but I would want to get them waterproofed & the difference for the 30%

Beautiful leather, style and workmanship. This is my 4th pair of Veronica boots but definitely not my last pair. Fantastic colors.

Get these boots! They are so great. They look cute with dresses or leggings. The leather is perfect and they broke in quickly!

I have few old Frye shoes and boots, including old VC. I don't have wide feet, but these are narrow and very stiff. Run small, returned them. Horrible return policy, ending up losing a lot of money

You those living in USA are very lucky. The average monthly salaries in my country is 800 $ and the sales price of this boot in my country is 550 $ unfortunately

I really like the Veronica Combat boots. Heavy duty but stylish. I ordered my normal Frye boot size (8) and they fit well. The upper portion / lacing does run tight but I expect this to loosen as the leather ages.

Couldnt get a hold of anyone for a return. Looks like I will be keeping the boots despite how dissatisfied I am with the quality of the sole.

Take a while to break in, but that was expected. Other than that, I love them

The craftsmanship and the quality of the leather is in no way the work of the Frye brand. I own a number of Frye boots and this boot is in no way of equal quality as the ones I already have. This purchase was a big disappointment. I'm returning ASAP! The company has lthe nerve to charge a returning shipping fee on an already expensive purchase.

Boots feel perfect. It wont take long for them to get broken in and form to my feet. Love them!

Love these boots - smelled the leather as soon as I opened the box!!! I usually wear a 6 but sized up after reading the reviews. The 6.5 was way too big, but Frye made the exchange for a 6 very easy - thank you! The 6 has plenty of toe room and fits just perfectly. The boots are beautiful, great quality, and stylish - everything I have come to expect from Frye in the decades that I have been wearing Frye boots and sandals (I must have close to 20 pair, all of which are still in beautiful condition - pure classics)! Thanks again - always a pleasure.
