Just received my Veronica Combat boots. Very well made. Haven't had a chance to wear them yet but did try them on. After reading reviews a lot of people said they run small so I order a 1/2 size up. They are a little bit more roomy than I thought but
if I wear a thicker sock I'm sure they will be fine. I
think they probably run true to size. I love Frye boots. Would love to see them in a Carmel
color. All in all I'm very satisfied.

I love these shoes and I am gonna wear them indoors for a day to see how they do. I usually wear an 8 M in almost every brand. My feet are on the narrow side of medium. I got a 9 based on recommendations and was surprised the 9 feels almost too short and too narrow with my everyday wool socks. I don’t want to have to wear thin dress socks with combat boots. I’m hoping the lovely boots give a bit with a bit of wear because I think a 10 would def be too large.
Just wanted to let others know even going a full size up these boots still fit tIghtly. (I wear a size 8 in the Frye harness boots and the Frye Natalie engineer boots, so go figure)
If they had half sizes I would go up to 9 1/2 for these.
Lovely leather looks and feel, but the leather laces kind of undermine the ‘combat’ style, overall these are a bit sleeker than what I hoped for in a rugged combat style boot.

I love these boots. Super comfortable. I wear a 9 or 9.5 and bought a 10. Important to note that the "black" is not actually black but a worn-looking brown. I feel like this is a bit misleading in the description.

This is just about what I'm looking for but the lack of speed lacing is going to make me regret buying them every time I put them on and take them off.

I wanted to love these but I felt like they were a one dimensional look. They look great with skinny jeans but that was about it. I was looking for a boot that could transition styles, work and play, but these weren't it. For $200+ I need perfect boots, not ones I can only wear with certain outfits.

The inside support/heal felt like it was too small and pinching . And since the material is very hard, I knew it would not give so I exchanged for the next size up, 11. The heal feels better, I can still feel a little stiffness, and now a tad too big in the toes, but I’m keeping them.

Fit is very true to size. I don’t understand the other reviews about sizing differences. I purchased the distressed black and they look AMAZING! So cute. The leather is stiff and I’m hoping it will “break in” over time and get more comfortable.

very cute but very snug, feet felt like they were straitjacketed. I might have kept them with assumption they'd stretch but the weirdest thing is the laces are too short! Easily fixed, I guess, but I didn't want to have to go in search of the right laces for a pair of boots that weren't that comfortable.

Beautiful boots, but the sizing is really off. I’m a true 8 and never have any issues with width or the size overall. These were so small and narrow, I didn’t even want to play around with the next size up. Really strange, since I do own other Frye boots in an 8 and have no trouble with those.

Sizing seems inconsistent. I usually wear a 6 but tried a 7 after reading reviews. The 7 was too long. I wanted a 6.5 in black, but Zappos was out of stock so I tried a 6.5 in brown. It fit well enough, so I exchanged it for a 6.5 in black when black was back in stock. Now I have a 6.5 in black and it feels like the 7, still too long and roomy. The style is so nice, though, I'm giving this boot another try, in a different 6.5 and 6.

These boots mean business. They were much heavier than I anticipated, so I feel like I clunk around in them. I've only worn them once so far, and was concerned with how tight they were at first. They loosened up after about an hour, though, and were very comfortable after that. I do expect these to last a very long time, and look forward to how they'll look and feel after they're fully broken in. The upper leather is soft, but the boot/foot portion is VERY solid. It will take a lot of wear to break these in. I'd definitely recommend them, though.

I really love this syle boot, very sleek and stylish, Not your typical combat boot. With that being said sizing is very tricky. They run narrow in the toe box but lenght is perfect in your tts shoe. I ordered 6 at first then 6 1/2 to be sure of fit. The 6 1/2 is longer and a bit wider but doesn't have that nice fitted ankle as the 6 does. I had to really tighten the laces to achieve the look I wanted. And they do appear much to long on my foot. So while the 6 is snug with a very thin sock, they just look better overall. And reviewers that have had this boot for more then a few months, have said they will stretch in width and the soft leather will eventually conform to your foot with wear. I'm hoping so , because Its a very sharp looking classic boot that looks great styled different ways. I'm usually a 6 in all boots including a pair of frye Vicki boots in suede. Reviews were very mixed and confusing, so depending on if you intend to wear thick socks you will need to go half a size up. But do keep in mind the boot will look longer on your foot, and also it will stretch over time, resulting in a sloppy fit. My daughter is a consistent size 7 1/2 and hers fit her perfectly.

Bought these boots in October on sale and have worn them numerous times. I have a medium width foot and own about 8 pairs of Frye boots, all in size 10 and most of them I wear with a medium thickness sock. These ran a bit narrow. I loosened the ties and wore for short periods with thick socks to stretch them a bit. They are now relatively comfortable, but not for more than a few hours at a time. I'm hoping they become more comfy with time. They look amazing with skirts, denim, leggings, etc. VERY versatile. Would not recommend if you have a wide foot.

These are gorgeous boots - really nice leather and seem super well made. But they're very narrow in my opinion. I have a medium foot but need a wider toebox due to a Mortons neuroma. I don't know that these are even medium - they seemed on the narrow side to me even without my issue. As far as length I got my usual size 8 and an 8.5 because other reviews said they ran small. The 8.5 was too long and too narrow. The 8 was the right length but too narrow. I was looking for a Doc Marten style boot (those just don't fit me either) and while these are called a combat boot they're not really as clunky as I was wanting - the sole is more 'restrained.' They feel more dressy if that makes sense.

I went with my typical Frye sizing, but this boot seemed just a tiny bit too long (something even a thick sock couldn’t make up for) and by the time I decided to try a half size down, they were sold out. Cute boot. Great for narrow feet.

I bought these boots for a vacation where we will do some hiking cliffs by the sea and city walking. They are comfortable right out of the box. Great for cooler weather. I gave them 4 stars because I wish they had a zipper for easy on off. Hopefully as I wear them they will get easier to remove.

Love the look of these boots, and the color. It's hard to find white boots. Very comfortable, although without a zipper, i find them difficult to put on compared to all my boots that have zippers. Only gave 4 stars because the leather is very stiff, perhaps it's just that they need to be broken in before it softens up. This is my first pair of Frye boots, so I'm not sure about the break-in length of time, have only worn them twice, I'm sure with more wearings they will soften up and become my new go-to boot. True to size.

with no break-in time, it fits perfect at beginning. Size run a little bit small. I do have one problem, the color seems much more "weathered" than it looks like on the website. I was little disappointed, cause I expect more black leather appearing.

I love these boots. The leather is gorgeous. They are just a little too tight in the toe box and I have a very narrow foot. I tried on another pair in a store and they fit perfectly, but were torn. I think these would stretch out eventually, but I know I won't take the time.

Good lord these boots take eons to break in. I don't wear them much as they blister my ankles after a while. Once I hit around three miles of walking, I'm over with them. And I've had them for a while, almost a year (but they're sporadicly worn, like I said). So that's a bummer at their price point for sure. They do look great, though, and I'm thinking (aka hoping) that because they take so long to really break in, they should last forever. Oh and don't buy these for the snow. They slip a bit.

I like the color of the Forest Soft Oiled Suede -- very dark gray with a muted green cast to it -- but I wasn't a fan of the suede look and feel.

This is the boot we all want. Stylish, soft leather. They are too narrow. Typically I wear a 9.5 with a larger size in most boots. I tried the 10 and this boot size is too narrow. Since there is no 10.5 option I am hoping the 11 fits. This seems like a big jump. Minnesota cold, wind, & various types of winter precipitation call for this boot!

Loved the look of the boot, I bought the soft black. I over-pronate and found that the boot provided no arch support, so sadly had to return them. I do own many pairs of other models of Frye boots, this is the first pair that the arch support was non existent.
