I purchased my original pair of Veronica boot in 2017. I loved them so much, I wanted a second pair for travel. These are hardly the same boot. While they look nice, the leather is much thicker and stiffer and extremely uncomfortable. Sadly, I had to send them back.

I love the tooled leather Veronica combat in black. I really would love to have it in a tall combat also.

These boots are awesome, very comfortable and stylish.

This boot is attractive and true to its pictorial representation. The room in front of the shoe at the top is too small and it presses down on top of the foot

After a month of regular wear, on pavement and gravel, one of the bottom heels is already coming off. I sent an email about it and was just told I could go get it fixed... With my own money... After spending all that. So yea first and last pair from here.

I bought these for my 12yo daughter, who disdains sneakers. She prefers to wear black lace-up boots every day, and she wears them HARD. She usually goes through a pair in 6 months or lessyes, even when we shell out the big bucks. But the Veronica? Amazingly chic, sturdy, and comfortable. Her only (v. minor) complaint is that they take a little while to put on (maybe add a zipper on the side one day?). Thank you!

I love these boots! The red gives them a distinct flavor and they work for informal and even semi-formal occassions. Plus, they suit the rainy weather in the climates that I live in and travel to very well.

Look good, but a pain to get into, do they go unworn most of the time:( They could use a zipper, and a new buck finish.

So beautiful and such a cool style but I couldn't get my foot in these, even with them unlaced all the way. I wear a size 11 and have a wide foot, so I took a chance when buying these. Returned for a refund, but hated that they didn't work.

Love them; however. I ordered the black distressed one's, but they are primarily black with a few distressed marking. Nothing like the picture!

These boots are amazing. Beautiful color, so comfortable. I'm sure they will get better and better with age.

I love these boots so much! I've been wearing mine for a couple of years now, and even though they're very soft, they're also very durable! I did have trouble finding the right size though. I didn't understand the whole 'go down a size with tony lamas' thing. Anyway, I highly suggest getting your foot measured in cm to find your "size" on the tony lama size chart, thennn go down a full size from there. (I wear a 7.5 in converse all stars, my foot measures 24 cm which the tony lama chart then said I'm an 8, so I went down one full size to comfortably wear a 7 in (this blue/brown pair) Tony lamas.

I am a size 9. The size guide provided by the website suggested I order size 11!!! That's insane, I orded my normal size anyway and I'm glad I did. I have wide feet, 2 days of wearing the boots and they fit perfectly. Ignore the size guide, buy your normal size.

So wanted these distressed looking Veronica. Have literally 4 other colours but these were my too. Now, after a very wasteful and difficult return process, once nice guy really tried to help named Michael, I got an exchange and low and behold just essentially another black pair with a few, like literally 3 or so small Pieces of leather peeling. Highly advised Nott purchase if you expect anything like the pic unless you want to have a huge headache and no accommodation after a ton of time trying to even exchange them. And Frye no need to write a templatized response it is what it is. No more Frye boots for me!

Boots are very nice. They are slightly narrow and tight in the toe box, but I have wide feet. It seems like they will stretch with time. They do have a slight unpleasant plastic type smell. But overall they are keepers.

I am trying to return a pair of these boots, which I ordered in my size, but they were too small on one foot (my right foot is very slightly larger than my left foot.) I have never had this problem with Frye shoes/boots or any other brand before. I am trying to return the boots, but customer service is non-existent. If I can't get the order refunded, I will never buy another pair of Frye shoes again.

Combat boots

I had to get a size 7 instead of my usual 6.5. The extra length was what I needed, but the accompanying extra width was a problem. Even with the boot tightly laced, my foot and instep and ankle were swimming in that excess space. So sorry I had to give up on them, as these boots are beautifully made and in a simple, enduring style.

I waited for a discount, and a coupon to purchase these boots. They are a wise investment, but they may outlive me! My last Frye boots are well loved, never pampered, and still looking great! These boots have a sturdy base with plenty of stability. The heel height is perfect. I have so enjoyed them over the last few weeks. The color ? Wine? Suede is so sharp. Im taking them to Key West for lots of walking on vacation. They were worth the wait!

They run small so definitely order a half-size up. Very pleased with these!

The quality of the leather is great. The boots are a bit stiff and could use an orthopedic insert/padding.

These boots are rugged and cute at the same time. I wore my Veronica Combat Boots (in Caramel) every day throughout our 3-week honeymoon safari in Tanzania. Wore them with khakis, dresses, shorts, and leggings. They were perfect with cute safari outfits. They came back looking worn and better than when they were new. IMO, these DEFINITELY fit 1/2 size small, which means I ordered 1/2 size larger than normal and the fit is perfect with thin (unpadded) wool socks. I'm actually uncertain why some reviewers claim they fit true to size. I used Skidmore's leather cream to keep the leather supple without darkening the leather and to help break them in before our trip. Breaking them in is critical to comfort. These will literally last a lifetime...and when not wearing them on safari they will be especially cute with Fall outfits.
