I had to order these boots 3 times to finally find a pair that fit (the first 2 times were not through Zappos). The sizing was very off, which was strange because I have ordered many Frye boots. During the winter, I wear these boots all the time! They are super comfortable and are perfect when I want to be casual and warm. I'm very glad I have these and that I finally found a pair that fit!

Zappos delivered my Veronica combats in record time! Out of the box delight and they molded to my feet immediately. The camel color was a little darker than I expected, but it is a rich beautiful color that must stay. As other reviewers mentioned, the laces appear a little fragile. Overall, an excellent purchase.

these run very small

This is a good boot. Strap them on and you will feel the fit, see the quality and style. If the style appeals to you, the fit will as well. In my opinion they were not a disappointment and were true to size. The fit was right when I put them on with minimal break in. A welcome addition to my winter lineup.

Read quite a few reviews about sizing issues. For me they fit true to size. The issue is they are hard to put on, without untying the boot at least half the way down and pulling the tongue out all the way. This makes putting the boot on a bit of a drag. However, they did break in very easily. I wore them around the house a couple hours and the next day, four hours and after that, the whole day, very comfortable. I like the boot a whole lot. They are cute and have some attitude. They appear well made in comparison to the four other Frye boots I have, the newest pair three years old.

Love these boots! At first I thought they might be a half size too small only because they were a perfect fit without any socks on (I was sockless and excited when they arrived). However, I wore them all day with thick socks and they did feel tight at first, by the end of the day, they had molded to my feet perfectly. I'm so glad I kept my true size. The leather is so soft and smooth. They are very well constructed and high quality. Super, super comfortable. I purchased the black and am considering purchasing another color. Highly recommend.

Love Frye. Love these boots. Some of the eyelets came off, need to have them fixed. but overall still awesome. Can wear them all day and have no issues. Hills, cobblestone and such. Even chased my dog in them!

These boots are awesome!! The back of the heel feels a little stiff, but I'm sure they'll break in as other reviewers have noted. I love wearing them with leggings - untied and loose at the top for a more rugged look and laced up for a more polished look. I plan to wear with dresses too. The quality is amazing. They are just perfect!

Great boots! I'm a 8.5 wide so I typically get a 9. Too small in the toe box. Got the 9.5. Close, but still a bit tight in the toe box and the crease in the leather that was starting to form while I walked around the house would press into my foot. I had them send me the 10 so I could compare. Yes, a bit more length, but roomy enough for me to wiggle my toes (THE test for my wide feet). The rest of the shoe fits really nicely through my heel and ankle. A really comfortable shoe. Wore it all day for the first time. Very little breaking in is necessary. Lighter than Dr. Martins (my one complaint for them). A great investment for the quality and fit!
