Josef Seibels have been my go-to, lasts forever, daily shoe for years, so that's my point of comparison for this shoe. It has less arch support than my older models (not enough for me), less room for the toes, and just generally doesn't have the immediate feel of perfect fit that I expect from JS. I do like the crinkled leather look, and these are wonderfully lightweight and would travel well. But overall, after several wearings, I have found comfort lacking in these.

These are the most comfortable shoes. I do have one very weak ankle and and the shoes do not give me the support that I need for the ankle. I am very disappointed as they are great looking shoes.

Liked 'em so much, I've bought this second pair, so I can keep one shiny for dressing nice-casual and wear the other for everyday work and knocking around. Comfortable when on my feet all day, while traveling and when at my desk. Let's hope it's not discontinued any time soon!

I have arthritis in my feet, so comfort comes first. This is a lesser known brand in the states, so these shoes don't read as orthodic. Very comfortable and great looking.

The Alexis is a very comfortable shoe. It looks a bit utilitarian, but the comfort makes up for the looks. The leather is super soft, so you are able to have a custom made shoe feel and look. The soles feel like gym shoe bottoms. I am able to walk miles in these shoes. This is my third pair of Josef Seibel shoes, and the second pair of Alexis shoes. I still have the first pair but they look a little tattered because I wear the shoes every day.
