A nice indoor flat. I was hoping I could wear them outdoors, but they absorb water like a sponge.

This is a great looking shoe. Looks great, well constructed, but this thing is way narrow. It feels more narrow than an Adidas shoe, and to me they are made specifically for people with extremely narrow feet. I wish Nike would make an indoor shoe with some width to it. This to me doesn't even measure out to a typical medium width. I have gone up a size and even though the length is better, the typical widening you'd get on a bigger shoe is just not here. It's unfortunate, because for the quality of construction and overall makeup of the shoe along with the price, this would be an absolute steal for an indoor shoe. Oh well, the search continues, but the Gato 5 is out of the equation which is not cool at all. I loved the look and materials. Nike is so close to the perfect replacement for the ever too narrow Samba, but they just need to make them in differing widths apparently. Nike sizing has gotten increasingly frustrating over the last two years as well.

It is not 40 or 7 in man's size, it should be 7 in woman's size. Very bad quality; looks like fake Chinese shoes. Never buy brand shoes from USA again - European quality is much better.

I play soccer 4-5 nights a week throughout the winter and have worn Sambas and Copas in the past but have been stuck on these shoes for the past couple years. The support is amazing, my feet are much less sore with these shoes than with the others. The surface we play on is thin turf over cement, but these shoes make it more comfortable. The feel of the shoe is great, the grip is awesome and the leather gets really supple after good use. WARNING: DO NOT BUY THE NON-LEATHER VERSION!!! The synthetic leather is nowhere near the same. I made the unfortunate mistake of ordering a pair of the non-leather shoes, and while they were still functional, the real leather is so much better for indoor play. Lastly, the Obsidian/Volt/Crimson color combination is awesome, a lot better than the picture provided. The obsidian is a deep navy color, the volt is a bright neon green, and the crimson is somewhere between a bright cherry red and a hot pink. Just flashy enough without being overbearing. Overall, if you're looking for a pair of soccer shoes it'd be hard to beat these, especially at the price. If you're just looking for a pair of sneakers, these are stylish and comfortable; most of my old pairs of these become everyday sneakers after a couple seasons of play.

I bought these shoes for my daughter and she loves them. They are a little tight on the sides. She is using them for volleyball and has always used Converse. These are a great improvement.

Very comfortable, pretty stylish, only worries are the durability. Seems like sides of the soles have been peeling back, although I do bang around in them pretty hard. Good shoe for the price. Great for casual soccer.

These are very narrow. Other than that these are decent shoes for people that want shoes with flat insoles.

I've been looking for a decent looking indoor court shoe and thought I found it with the Gato. Having worn many pairs of Nikes for other activities it seemed like an easy decision, but I was totally frustrated with the Gato's fit. Normally, I wear an 11. That didn't work - tight in every dimension. Tried an 11.5 - didn't work, still way too narrow. Tried a 12. Finally the length was manageable but the shoe runs so narrow that I still couldn't keep them on for more than a couple of minutes. Bagging the style altogether. Still looking for the right shoe.

I have been buying indoor soccer shoes as my normal footwear for the last 8 years of my life and these shoes are definitely the best pair I have ever had, and have been wearing this pair for the last 2 years. They are extremely comfortable and look great. I am definitely going to buy another pair. I am contemplating on going to the Gato II. I am not sure if they will work as well

My son is Gato kid and this one did not disappoint. He loves the stylishness of this shoe and how good it responds when he plays. Great shoe!

Fit my son's wider foot - only indoor soccer shoe we found that was snug yet comfortable. Fit was a little short thought - purchased 1 size larger than normal.

I like this shoe because it feels great on the heels! It feels really close to the foot and definitely great for indoor soccer. Great grip and comfortable. a bit snug but worth it! Zappos delivered it quickly and I wouldn't mind buying the bright lime green shoes as well. Runs to about a half size to full size smaller. Great shoe.

Although typical for indoor soccer shoes, the bottoms are very flat with very little arch support. Shoe works great though.

Pretty much the sweetest pair of athletic shoes I've bought in quite a while. The florescent red and yellow really pop with the NAVY base and the shoe construction is class. Highly recommended for someone who wants a quality sneaker with some "pop"! As with all Nike Soccer boots, order a half size up than you normally would, especially if you have wide feet. These are also great for those with FLAT feet too!

As usual Zappos delivered a fantastic pair of shoes. These Nike Gato's are the most comfortable indoor soccer shoes I've owned.

These shoes look great in white. They are extremely comfortable. I like these better to play in than my Nike Mercurial IC. You don't get tired easily and there is a lot of area for good shooting. I highly recommend these if your looking for a great futsal shoe or just for casual use, either way you're going to fall in love with them.

What another great pair of Nike5, these are really stylish and can go with just about everything. I usually take a 10 but after carefully reading the reviews and knowing that some Nikes have been running a bit smaller I ordered the 10.5 and am very happy and pleased with the fit and comfort of these Nike5 Gato. And thanks to Zappos for getting them to me so quickly, you guys rock and roll!

After buying and returning three pairs of indoor soccer shoes, my 8 year old has settled on the Gato. Fit and functionality is important for him, and he loves a flashy color as well (the white and yellow combo is fun for kids). The difference between the Gato and other indoor shoes that are cut like cleats with flat soles is that the Gato comes up a little higher on the heel and adds additional support there so there isn't an issue with heel slippage. My son has narrow feet and the width was not an issue with good lacing. Other reviewers have noted that the shoe runs small, but I found it true to size, and perhaps even a bit big. My son has size (12) Nike running shoes, which may feel more comfortable with extra room in the toe box. The Gatos are roomier than other indoor soccer shoes, but seem to have more support than a Samba (love the classic Samba but our last pair was heavy, clunky, "floppy" fitting and the leather -- even black-- gets broken down and dirty looking).

Zappos.com didn't have my size in this shoe and color, so I ordered them off of Nike.com. The shoes I received were a size too small so I sent them back and ordered the next size up from Zappos.

Now that I've had these shoes a couple couple weeks they are very comfortable, but I still prefer my Puma Power-C's. I mostly wear the Nike's just for kick around, and do get a lot of positive comments on their color and style. They are BRIGHT. I ordered a full size larger than I normally take, per the suggestions, and I feel the shoes are just a smidge too large, but not enough to send back. Certainly too large to play any kind of a soccer game in, as I slide around inside a bit. But they are not in the least bit uncomfortable and I do have a wide foot. Maybe the handful of times I've worn them isn't enough to judge, but I'm going to keep these in the closet till my Pumas wear out. I much prefer the fit and style of the Pumas.

Comfortable fit with lots of cushion. More comfortable each time I wear them. Sometime my toes fall asleep, but I am still trying to adjust how I tie them to be sure they are fitting so it could just be me.
