I turned 40 years old and figured it was time to stop wearing ball caps. So I bought a sweet Kangol style hat by D&Y for the winter at some skate shop in P-town, and picked this bad boy up for the warmer months. It slays. Just rocked it on the boardwalk of Atlantic City this past weekend, and this blazin' girl who looked like Iman smiled at me and touched it as she walked by. That's all you need to know really. It's light, cool, and stylish. Size is a wee bit smaller than the numbers, and the color leans more toward gray than what my crappy monitor displays online. It's not your typical Kangol, and girls that look like Iman prefer it.

Great hat to add style and help dress-up any wardrobe. Works with casual and formal outfits. Be aware that they run slightly big. My head is 23" exactly where my hatband sits. The large was too big and hung too low making my ears fold. The medium fits much better and the exchange process through Zappos was seamless.

This is my second Kangol. The hat is very well made. I highly recommend this product and the wool 504 hat as well. I think that the hat is a bit small for its size.

Decided to try something different, always wore baseball caps. My wife likes the way it looks. I wear it to the store, when we go out at night, an all around good hat.

Like others who have reviewed this hat, I bought it to try something "a little different." My wife and I recently went on a Mediterranean vacation and I wanted something that was cool and comfortable, yet kept the sun off my all-too-prominent scalp. Mission accomplished with the Kangol Tropic 507. It is extremely lightweight and comfortable, and easy to pack for travel. The only criticisms are that the inner headband can flip inside-out easily, so you have to be careful when putting it on to make sure that it is actually properly in place. Also, the sizing might be a bit big - I am an honest 7 5/8 hat size, so I bought the XL size, which is listed as the appropriate size for me. The hat seems a bit big, but not sloppily so, and I'd rather have it too big rather than too small (and the fabric is stretchy). All in all, a jaunty cap and a good value if you are also looking for something "a bit different" for spring and summer.

I like the lightness of this hat. Good ventilation, plus it still keeps its shape. I live in a hot climate and when there is a breeze, this hat lets it through. The only downside is that I wish the brim was longer because I like to shade my eyes without pulling the hat all the way down on the forehead. But, that's a general complaint as this hat is no shorter than most others of this style. Fortunately, it still looks quite good pulled low on the head, so I'm pleased. Again, best for hot weather and super easy to care for, even with abuse it takes from me.

This is a cool hat, it's a very lightweight and airy fabric. I'm a hat size 7 1/2 and the L is the right size for me. I tried the XL and it was way too big. I mainly wear hats for sun protection for my bald head, and I live in Texas so it can't be a heavy or thick hat, because I need to stay cool. This is a great hat for these purposes, and it goes well with my weekend casual wear. My only knock on the hat is that the fabric is so airy and lightweight that I'm afraid that I'd get a sunburn on the top of my head right through the hat.

Love this hat. Fits well. Slim profile. Cam be worn casually or more formal—depending on your shirts and pants. Good material, too.

I only ordered the medium and it fits slightly snug but that is good as it loosen a bit after a half hour. I like the slim profile. It doesn’t look bulky. Can be worm casually with jeans or chinos as well as dress slacks and shirts.

Have bought this particular hat in the past in few different colors. I love them! Cool and comfortable for a typical Houston summer day. Recently my father-in-law was looking for a new hat so i bought one for him. He absolutely loves it as much as i do. I would reccomend this hat to anyone looking for a good summer hat that isn’t your typical baseball cap.

Straight baller old man cap! This is a great stylish hat to add to your quiver. I have one in black that is 10 years old and needed to have a new fresh option. Got this one in charcoal and love it. Fits just as good as my black one!

I purchased this hat for myself for my birthday. I wore it out to dinner and got SO many compliments on it. Purchased it in navy, then bought the rest of the colors as well, since I always match my hat to my purse and shoes. Bought my daughter one for her birthday.

I love his hat and wish I had them in every color. My father wants one now, but they don't have it brown, which is what he wants. True to size. I measured my head and it is a medium. Measure you head circumference and divide by pi (3.14) and that should be your size.

I bought this hat for my husband as I love the style and knew he would like it as much like his Greek Fisherman's hat that he enjoys. LOVE the hat, the color and most importantly, Bob does too. It's very dapper.

I don't normally wear hats, especially baseball caps and whenever I've bought one in the past, I end up hating it and buying another to only repeat the cycle. This time I've found one that I love. I tried on many hats of this style at Target, Walmart, and various mall shops but was not satisfied with how they look or fit. I risked even ordering this, but I'm glad I did. The lines on the side keep it from looking too fat and it's just deep enough to fit my big head. It's loose enough of a weave for the wind to blow through and keep you cool. The only downside is the synthetic fibers have a tendency to stay creased after you accidentally sit on it for a while or leave it wadded up somewhere. Great hat and I get lots of compliments on it!

I have bought XL size hats from Zappos before and they always fit just right. This hat was just slightly larger even thou it was also an XL. The hat is great

i thought i would like this better than the 504 ventair but i didn't. fit just wasn't right on me. it looks big and boxy. it would probably look better on a bigger head. i wear a small and it was still too large.
