A little big for me, as a comparison the Columbia Winter Worn fits snug without practically coming over your eyes. If you look carefully at the mannequin here it fits loosely near the top, and notice how far down the hat is in the front already, that is accurate. It is warm but after one wash I think it will be prone to pilling, unlike my Columbia. My Columbia is completely lined with fleece, this one has a band of fleece at the lower part of the interior.

I have a bigger head so I ordered the beanie from the men's section but it was still too small. I like a beanie that I can pull lower to my eyes on a super cold day. The fleece band is nice but overall it's not meant for the snowy, windy days.

I have always thought I wear a larger size cap. When this arrived it looks good, feels good, but seems about a half size too large for my head. But if you tend to wear a larger size cap or hat, this is a well designed cap, with style and functionality.

It was too small for my husbands head. Thick material and warm though.

I wear beanies to keep my head warm. I was looking for a nice, warm fitted beanie for the upcoming cold season. I prefer fitted hats because I don't like having to fold up a whole ton of extra material around my head - I prefer the look and feel of a more streamlined hat. The bones beanie seems to be made very well and is very warm. The ear band around the inside is a nice touch. However, the beanie is either slightly too large or is poorly stitched on top, because the seams end up being kind of lumpy looking. Also, I got the Sequoia Red color and while it looks like a nice maroon on the website, it's really more like a reddish brown.

This is a good hat. Very comfortable I wear it everyday.

I tried this same Bones Beanie on at a Cabela's store but didn't find the right color. I ordered from North Face online to get the color I wanted, but when it arrived it was much larger than the one I tried in the store - annoying!

The quality of the hat is good but it does not fit as close to my head as others I have had. Its not a tailored look. If I was trying it on in the store I would not have bought it but.... PS To NF If "Your nickname can only contain letters and numbers." (no spaces) tell me that when you ask for it don't make me deal with an error message. Thank you

The hat is of good construction and provides good warmth, but is significantly undersized, failing to protect the areas and lower head/upper neck. I've tried to stretch it out, but even the slightest movement makes it so that my ears and lower head aren't properly covered. I have a normally-sized head for a guy, and I seriously suspect this was designed for a woman. Couldn't recommend.

Seems like it would be pretty warm, but I'll never know because this beanie is HUGE. I have a large noggin and it is too big both in terms of length and circumference. It comes down over my eyes if pull it tight over my head.

I bought an older version of one of these about 10 years ago, and loved it. When I found them here, I bought 3 of them. All 3 of them fit differently. They're comfortable, but the one size fits all system here is flawed. The 3 hats are like something out of Goldilocks.

If you have a larger head this is not the cap for you. It does not strech to fit ofer the ears. About 20% of my ears are unprotected.

North face hasn't changed the picture online or with any other store. It's been over a year and I found that out from another source. TNF customer service had no clue until I brought it up to them. Had to find an offical store to return it to, craziness just for a hat.

Ordered online and when tried on was immediately disappointed by how oversized this hat is. I have a large head and should have no problem fitting into this hat. I checked to see if the hat is made of cotton to see if it would shrink and it is not.
