So far, this oven has been very good and I would recommend it without doubt. I purchased it based upon recommendations by Consumer Reports.

Purchased as a gift for Christmas so it has not been tried yet. Great service...package arrived well packed and very quickly!

This is the best toaster oven I have ever owned and I have had plenty over the years. Easy to operate, great product. I highly recommend I would purchase again if need be.

Zappos is great! Great price and fast shipping. As far as this oven goes, just fair. Works fine, but temperature is way off. Sent the first one back to Breville and the second is the same. Basically need to add 25 degrees on the temp dial to get the temp you want. Other than that, good product.

This is the best oven I can remember using, ever. The temperature control is precise and the heat is consistent throughout the inside, with no hot spots. Food comes out perfectly. It also preheats in less than five minutes. Very easy to clean, too. Great for summer when you don't want to heat the big oven. Only one thing I would change, there are no stops for the rack. It will pull all the way out of the oven and fall if not careful.

A completely better appliance than the inexpensive variety of toaster oven. Great looking and far better at cooking / toasting. A good value for the price.

I purchased this as a gift after having previously purchasing one. They are excellent! You almost don't need a "regular" stove. I am going to get one for myself in the near future. The service from Zappos was excellent.

The smart oven works great! We have used it for our daily toast, but also to bake, broil and roast a variety of dishes. So far every dish has come out looking and tasting great!

After much research I decided on the Breville Oven & opted for the compact to save counter space. I have not been disappointed!! Love everything about this oven. Love Zappos too!!

Terrific toaster. So easy to use. Seems complicated at first but turns out to be really easy. Easy pizza. Easy toast. Easy all around. Love it!

Well made: Grates and pans are rush proof and durable. Bakes and toasts well. Convenient for baking doggie and cat treats (smiles). Has warmer on top. Cleans well and no crumbs dropping of surface were it sits.

This is a great toaster all around. Tis unit stands out form many others with its upscale design and solid construction. Everything from the thicker gage stainless steel casing to the upgrade quarts heating elements scream quality. I am very pleased with this unit after a month of use and highly recommend it.

Well designed and built. Superior performance on all we've toasted so far, toast and bagels. My only niggle is that the stainless finish attracts fingerprints in a hurry but they are reasonably easy to deal with. I prefer a quick daily wipe out and wipe off. This remains a very good value in my view and I highly recommend it.

You can't go wrong with a Breville. Don't know what I'd do without mine. They heat up faster than a conventional oven.

This is the best counter top oven I have ever used/seen. Love the settings it has. Built very well. I highly recommend this oven to anyone. This size works for the space I have. I was thinking of getting the bigger unit, but glad I got this one. :) The only thing about this unit I wish was different was the plug...it is straight out...where I would rather have had one that contours down the wall. This makes the unit stick out a little further than I really wanted it too...not bad, just more than is necessary with the right plug on the end of the cord. Also, I want to mention that the Zappos staff handled my order fantastic. Shipping and all. :)

I love this oven! I didn't think we needed a toaster oven since we had a toaster and a full size oven- but it is great! It toasts evenly, heats quickly and bakes evenly. I wish I had gotten it sooner!

I love this oven! I don't have to turn on my big oven at all. So far I've baked fish and made bagels topped with tomatoes and cheese. I've also toasted bread. Everything comes out perfectly each and every time. It is SO much better than my old, but less expensive, toaster oven. You really do get what you pay for.

I did a lot of research before I bought the Breville Compact Smart Oven. I give it 5 stars across the board. I used to have a Cuisinart but hated the rear crumb tray. This is much easier and is beautiful on the counter. I bought the bamboo cutting board that fits on top as well and glad I did.

I love this unit, except: the bottom and top heating elements are exposed for food to drip/pop on the actual red hot heating element, and after 18 months both bottom heating elements burned out partially causing uneven toasting and heating. For this price, I would absolutely expect it to last more than 18 months. But I love it so much, size, cooking quality, etc. I am going to buy it again and give it another try. I hope I don't get burned.

So far I've roasted chicken drum sticks, baked a coffee cake and made lots of toast -- bagel, sour dough, winter wheat bread. Both the roasting and baking results exceed expectation. This appliance, however, is not a toaster. Toasts come out perfectly golden, but dry. I think the time/temperature trade of could use some optimization. The biggest other issue is safety -- the whole exterior becomes exceedingly hot during use. There should be a big red warning sign on top and both sides of the oven (instead of the small warning sign on the front door).
