seems to run slightly small, just went up one size. able to layer comfortably underneath. only true disappointment was the length. Seems short. would of liked it to be longer, runs slightly below waistline or top belt line of pants

GREAT DEAL AND PRODUCT. FIT PERFECTLY AT FIRST. IT DO GET SMALLER AS YOU WASH IT AND DRY IT A COUPLE TIMES. I WEAR A 3X AND I AM PETITE SO THE SLEEVE ARE A LITTLE LONG BUT IT WILL GET SMALL AS YOU WASH IT AND DRY IT. DON'T OVER DRY IT BECAUSE THE JACKET MATERIAL WILL HAVE A ROUGH AND BURN FEELING.

I now have three Benton Springs jackets in various colors. They are made very well and are of a good weight but I do think they run about one size smaller. I normally get an XL to allow for clothing underneath but I order up one size in this jacket. The first jacket I bought was an XL in Hibiscus Red. It is a great color (a little brighter than I was expecting) and just a little smaller than I like. Having said that, the sleeves are longer than they are on the 1X??? All in all, I love it!

I bought mine in black. I am a fairly tall woman, about 5'10" - the sleeves are long enough and the overall fleece length is good. This fleece gives me the warmth I need for beginning of fall. I like to wear it under a rain jacket for extra warmth sometimes. The quality is good. The shipping time was good, too.

I love the Columbia Fleece Jackets...although I found this one to be a little snug. I will wear it but I prefer them less fitting. I wish there was more of a color selection in the longer length fleece . I love the color and it is good quality as usual.

The fleece was great, but I got a 1X and the sleeves were too short. I got the lavender and loved the color.

I love the color and style of this fleece, and expect to wear it a lot. My only complaint was that I had to go up two sizes to keep it from being too snug on me. Those with trim figures might not need to make the adjustment.

This review is for the Columbia Benton Springs full zip jacket. I ordered one size larger than usual because I wanted ample room to layer, and this jacket provides the roominess I wanted. There is sufficient range of motion in the arms, and I appreciate the zippered pockets to hold cell phone and keys securely. The mid-weight fleece is of good quality and very soft. The arm cuffs have elastic at the opening which I wish were slightly smaller (or adjustable) to keep out cold air. The bottom hem has adjustable elastic with a barrel closure to help keep out cold and wind. As other reviewers have mentioned, the "black" color is not actually a dark black, but more of a charcoal grey. I considered trying to dye the fabric a darker shade, but have opted to live with the charcoal grey as it coordinates well enough with my wardrobe. Overall, I recommend this jacket as a good value in a versatile, mid-weight fleece.

This is my first Columbia jacket. I read all the reviews before I ordered, and I have to agree. The sleeves are a little long and the jacket is a little shorter than I would have liked. The fit is good. I've already washed it, and it is super soft now. The color was just what I wanted. I thought the price was very comparable. Overall, I really like the jacket and think it will be perfect for my trip.

Glad I paid attention to prior reviews and ordered the next larger size. This jacket really does run small--especially if you hope to layer it over a sweater.

Nice light weight jacket. The colors are true. It does run small. However, it is nicely fitted. I usually take an extra large woman's in a jacket but after reading the reviews I ordered a 2x large. The shoulders are right where they should be at that size for an EX large or 1x. If you wear an extended woman's size and plan on wearing a bulky sweater under it go at least 2 sizes larger.

The size on Columbia does run small but more frustrating is the fact that there are so few plus size options available in stores. After looking at various stores, both in person and online, finally decided to look at Columbia website. This was the way to go! Able to find the size I needed AND get a choice of more than black or white. The price this way was even better than through retailers too! Always happy with the quality and very much appreciate the options ordering here allowed me.

I have been buying men's jackets and decided to try a woman's jacket. This one fitted pretty well.

I was expected more bright color

I love the color and the quality is exceptional, just as you would expect from Columbia. I am very disappointed in the new sizing. The jacket runs very small and is not comfortable. I have several other Columbia jackets that are true to size and I love them. I probably will not wear this jacket very often. I recommend ordering one size larger than normal.

I bought this to go under a jacket. It works perfectly with the jacket, but I don't think I like it as much by itself. It's a bit short in the front. I would prefer for it to cover my hips and not just stop at my waist. I got the mountain color and was expecting it to be more gray than blue but it's actually more like a country blue color.

I want to love this but. .it's too small and too short ordering in my regular size. I can't imagine why the company would do this to customers. I believe I would love it if it fit. Delivery is slow also. Disappointed in having to return it.

I really like the jacket. I did order 1 size larger then I normally wear and it fits perfect. But I have noticed some marks in the fleece.

Nice jacket overall. The black color is more of a charcoal gray, not a true black.

I have always love my columbias. This is my third. It's a little short but maybe thats just me. I plan to order more in different colors too!

This product runs small so you may want to order a size up. Otherwise, a really nice product that is warm but also can be worn alone. Nice enough enough to be worn as casual clothing or for outdoor activities.

The color on this jacket (medieval blue) is georgeous. I wanted a jacket going into Spring and this is perfect.

I was hoping the coat would be a darker purple based on some reviews regarding colors being off a little however it is very much berry! I have used it almost daily since it arrived and so far have no issues with pilling. It fits nicely and has a flattering shape that is not boxy. 2x for me is snug but not over-tight and I'm able to wear while driving. If you tend to wear heavy sweaters you will need a larger size. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.
