These are nice shoes. That are very comfortable. They run true to size. They have sturdy soles. I wear them for recreation and work but not running. I have wide feet and they fit well. These are the shoes that Goodfeet sells but I got them for less and delivered to my door! I wear arch support in them as I am very flat footed. My heel pain has not gone away yet but I am hopeful.

I like Asics also for arch support, but you have to know which product. Frustrating you have a good shoe and the next year it is different and doesn't provide the same support.

These shoes are worth buying just for the thick gel insole to cushion your feet. They are very quiet walking on our hardwood floors.

I have been wearing Brooks for over 12 years. I have worn the Addiction Walker with laces and straps and the Ghost 5 as well, but today I tried the Brooks Ariel and I am in love. These shoes were im-mediately comfortable the moment I put them on. I wear orthodics and the wide shoe that I ordered fit them like a glove. If you are looking for a comfor-table shoe to walk in I would highly recommend these in a heartbeat. Thank you Brooks for making wonderful shoes for people like me that have foot issues.

I find these shoes run true to size and fit my foot very well. I have dead flat arches and a wicked bunion on my right big toe. Over the years it became more and more impossible for me to find shoes which I could wear for my daily 1 hour walks. I honestly don't know why I hadn't seen these shoes before, but they are amazing! It took about 5 walks to get used to the way they made me feel, but now, my stride is smooth and effortless and I am enjoying walking again. Wonderful product. Thank you.

Lightweight, didn't require any breaking in, comfortable. Feel slightly long, but not enough to exchange. I might try a half-size down next time.

A shoe specialist recommended these for me because my feet pronate and these shoes have an extra stable base. Boy do they ever! I get a lot less knee pain with these. I have custom orthotics, but these shoes are so stable I don't really need the orthotics. They're pricey, but for me they have been worth it. Only thing is, I am a solid 8.5 but I wind up wearing a 9.5 in these because I like extra room. You may want to order at least a half size up.

Needed a structured shoe that was wide enough for a foot issue I'm having. This shoe feels like I'm walking on a cloud.

Great shoe for overpronaters! Since I broke my foot in 2010, I've been wearing this shoe per the advice of my Orthopaedic surgeon. I wear these shoes almost daily and replace them annually because the support weakens in about a year with everyday use. The stability bar keeps my feet from rolling over which helps my hips, knees and back. For me there never is any break-in time; the shoes are comfy right out of the box. An investment well worth the money. I prefer my athletic shoes a little roomy for use with thicker socks, so I always order a half size larger. I'm in my early 40s and think the style looks youthful and updated. Love that it comes in a wide width.

These shoes are amazing. Before I bought these I endured years of foot pain that discouraged me from exercising. I'm very overweight and these shoes are nothing short of a blessing for me. Absolutely no foot pain after exercise! They're kind of chunky and I wish they came in other colors, but those are just vanity issues.

Just bought my third pair of Brooks Ariel. I have very flat feet. The fit and arch support are terrific.

Love these sneakers. My orthotics fit nicely in them. This is my second pair of Brooks sneakers and I plan on purchasing more in the future. Nice looking sneaker, I get lots of compliments on them.

I really like these shoes. I bought them to wear for a trip to Italy because I knew that I would be walking non-stop, and the shoes did not disappoint. Lots of support, and very comfortable.

This is a very comfortable shoe. I have a bunion on one foot and the mesh fabric 'gives' where I need it to 'give'. The only sport shoe I've found where I can be pain free.

I have problem feet and usually only buy Saucony Hurricane; however, the Brooks Ariel offers both support, cushioning and light weight. I have tried other brands and they run narrower or just not as comfortable as these.

Felt short in the toe, had to return for a 6.5, my actual shoe size is 5. Recently had PTTD surgery, maybe that is why. Not crazy about the angel blue color, very bright.

This is my first pair of Brooks shoes and I was very pleased. They were so comfortable and "cushy". I have dystonia on my left foot and have such a problem finding shoes that fit. I was able to wear these shoes and walk from day one. Brooks shoes are my new favorites.

I think I have already review this item, but I cannot say enough about it. The Ariel is one of the most supportive and comfortable sneakers for someone with flat feet or over-pronation problems. I have NEVER had anything more comfortable in my life. My ONLY problem. I wish they made them in more colors. You will NOT be sorry if you purchase these sneakers. LOVE THEM!

I love Brooks. They are the best, but they are hard to find from other sellers. I have damaged feet, but these shoes are perfect for me. Best support and comfort of all brands.

This is my third pair of Ariels in a row, and once again they are without compare. After reading reviews about the changes to this shoe--and the color--I actually ordered a pair of Mizunos too, just for comparison. I put those on first and was instantly dissatisfied with the arch support. The Mizuno insole didn't offer much in that department, so I went right to the Brooks box. First of all, I was pleasantly surprised by the color. I was expecting a green that could be seen from space. It's not. It's more like a very happy sea foam. I can accept that. Then I put them on and was instantly satisfied. Since I have PF in one foot, it's quite an accomplishment for me to find a sneaker that is stable, not too heavy, has good arch support, and doesn't look like I stole it from my grandma! I'll be keeping these shoes, like usual.

I am a 'hard-to-fit,' with a high arch, plantar fascitis, with small wide feet. I had nearly given up on trying to find a pair of athletic shoes to simply walk. To relieve my ongoing plantar fascitis symptoms, my podiatrist recommended custom fitted (soft) foot inserts. Feet change with shoes and I needed a comfortable athletic shoe with a better than good arch support, as well. I found the 'cadillac' of shoes Brooks Ariel women, at the same store that previously fitted me for foot inserts, solving my multi-foot problems including losing the foot inserts. Just one bug--the price. I was introduced to Zappos by a co-worker and never looked back. I am now a Zappos VIP customer. Suggestions. I would like to see a larger toe box and more color selections. I need a back-up pair NOW and PURPLE is the choice for me. Thanks for the opportunity to review!

This shoe is a lifesaver! Honestly. Two years ago I developed posterior tibial tendon disease (PTTD)/tear/arthritis in my left foot. I had never had foot pain before in my life. Having this caused every step to be extremely painful. After cases/orthotics/surgery the pain was somewhat improved - I could live with the pain but then the same thing began in my right foot, progressing to surgery. Post op it was very depressing as walking was still very painful. My tendon had been stabilized but every step all day hurt a lot! Sometimes worse than others. This shoe was recommended to me because of the motion control and stability. I have been them for two weeks and for the first time in two years I can walk again without very aggravating pain. As each day goes by my foot pain lessens. I am so impressed with these shoes. I've already had two others try them with the same outcome. The foot bed is the most comfortable I've ever had. I am not wearing my orthotics - I don't have to - they have made that much of a difference. I actually believe I am going to be able to start walking for exercise soon - and I had almost given up hope. Try these shoes - I think you will be very pleased!

Brooks Ariel is the perfect anti rolling heeled shoe on the market. Having chronic ankle instability is not an issue with the Ariel. Was recommended by my foot Dr.

WALKING ON PILLOWS. This shoe is terrific! It supports my 248 pounds well (cushioning)--which also suggests it's a great shoe for high impact running, like cross country. True to fit. I ordered an 11-D which fits beautifully. Toe is slightly tapered so your feet don't look like boats but still accommodates toe room to wiggle. Seems to help my slight pronation. Design is visually nice while the silver trim is also reflective. I compared this shoe with other Brooks of the same price range and decided on this one mainly for the type of tread on the sole and the reinforcement of the trim on the heel, thanks to Zappos' viewing options. Once I got them on, the arch is good. I have pretty flat feet and these are comfortable without being over-arched. I'll order this same shoe for next year!
