This is a very attractive shoe. The platform makes it comfortable compared to other shoes with such a high heel, and it has some built-in support which is usually lacking in a high-heeled dress shoe. It looks great with pants and skirts. The snap closure on the strap is somewhat adjustable. The only problem I have with these shoes is that they have been rubbing my feet and breaking the skin around the strap closure. I hope this stops as I break the shoes in because they're very attractive and comfortable.

These gorgeous shoes run so large, that my 7.5 regular feet were swimming in both 38, and now 37. It's weird because I had to close the strap at the smallest position to fit well which was uncomfortably tight, but the shoe still kind of slipped off at the heel. I stand by my previous review - they are amazing to look at, and if you are an 8, they might fit.

Absolutely gorgeous shoes. The platform makes it comfortable, so you can tolerate a high heel. I'm a regular 7.5 (38 in Dansko) and unfortunately, as others have noted, and I had hoped wouldn't happen to me, this 38 is more like a 39. Had to return with a tear in my eye because they don't have it in 37 just yet...meaning I hope to get an e-mail soon saying they're back in stock! I love Zappos' speedy service though, and recommend this last pair of shoes to a lucky sized 8/8.5 out there.

I found these to be very cute, but heavy, clunky, and noisy. Squeak, squeak, squeak. The straps were not at a comfortable location on my ankle. I'm a Dansko fan and I'll keep trying to find the perfect red shoe.

Wanted to love them but didn't like the color, a brownish red, or the lack of comfort.

So sad, I had such high expectations for this cute shoes. The snap of the shoe hits right at my ankle bone at, and is painful as I walk. The shoe otherwise is comfortable, and it may be my foot specific.

It feels a 1\/2 to a full size larger than marked. I have to return my 37. The strap snaps on and feels like it could stretch out easily. My foot kept sliding into the toe box pulling on the strap. I love Danskos and think this shoe is so cute but it may not work for me.

These shoes are beautiful and seem comfortable online, but the leather straps and the edge of the front of the shoe dug into my skin badly. I still like the looks of them, but I am disappointed that will not be able to wear them without tights and under the tights lots of band aids and a gel insert on the foot bed.

Ouch! The edge of the shoe where the snap resides (outer) digs into my ankle at the bottom. If this part of the shoe was 1/4" shorter or so, that wouldn't happen - it's just too high and hits the lower prominence of the bone. I have a long, skinny foot and usually wear a 40 or 41 in Danskos, but it almost feels as if this shoe is not only too long, but too deep. The other reviewers say the same. It's awfully cute, but I know I would never be able to walk in these shoes without terrible pain. Please Dansko - start making some narrow width shoes! As for arch support - can't say - it hurt too much to even try and figure that out.

Let me start by saying that I love Dansko and own several pairs, both flats and heels. So I am sad to report that the Dansko Rachel just doesn't live up to the hype. This shoe is clunky with a thick bottom that makes it feel more like a clog. The straps rubbed my ankle and were either too tight or too loose (there are three settings to choose from). The toebox was roomy but the edging rubbed a sore in the top of my foot. The arch support was good and the shoe was pretty, but un-wearable. If I want a 3 inch lift, I might as well stick to the more traditional and less comfortable heels in my closet.
