This is gorgeous and comfortable (with just a little bit of attitude) - the perfect shoe!

I normally wear a size 5. Many times I can wear a Dansko size 5.5. Not this time, but the shoe is adorable.

Love these shoes. Love the style, the height and the comfort! I actually think I'm going to buy a 2nd pair.

These are wicked-cute shoes. I hope they are as comfortable after all day...pretty good initially. They are a little heavy and the wooden sole is clunky but they feel good so far. Great with a dress or jeans. I have a fairly wide foot and they don't pinch. The heel slides a bit but they don't really flex so I am not surprised.

Love! I'm a teacher, on my feet all day, and these are the most comfortable heels I own. First I bought the Rikis, but didn't like how they hit the top of my foot. So instead I bought these, and they are marvelous! The studs are super stylish, just peeking out from under a pair of pants, and I can dress them up or down. Comfort: They take some breaking in for the toes, but I feel comfortable (and stable!) in these tall-ish heels. After a full day of teaching in them, I do find my calves and shins are fairly sore, but the thing is, I can wear them all day. I love my black pair so much, I want to buy the brown ones, too!

I hesitated to order these, even though I loved the way they looked, due to the diverse reviews on fit. I have hard to fit feet with high arches and have had a few foot surgeries. Often the heels in wide shoes are too wide. I usually wear a 7 medium or wide, and a 37 or 38 in Danskos. I ordered the 37 and they are a perfect fit. Granted, they aren't as soft and comfortable as the stapled clogs and Sausalitos, but for the heel height and stylish look are quite nice. I ordered the black, and love the studs, which are dark and not silver as they looked in the picture. Good job Dansko and Zappos. I am very happy with these shoes.

The best shoe ever! I love these shoes, they look great and feel great on my feet. The European sizing is off, I'm a size 9 but the 39 (8 1/2) fit fine. I love them. I wore them 3 times already and no problem, it feels better with every time I wear them. I just wish they were cheaper, I'd buy more!

I loved the style immediately but was unsure how comfortable they would be compared to my regular Danskos, so I wore them inside for a couple of days and found they were just what I had hoped they would be. I admit they aren't quite as comfortable as my Dansko clogs, but for the higher heel and dressier look they're fabulous. So glad to find a shoe with a heel I can wear all day in comfort.

I purchased these despite misgivings based on some of the reviews. Let me say, I'm glad I did. I'm also glad I gave these another chance after first trying them on and worrying about how ill fitting they seemed to be. I also have a very high arch, and at first these shoes seemed as though they would bring me nothing but pain. Something told me to give them at least a day, though. I swear, these shoes transformed themselves within one day of wear into probably the most comfortable and supportive shoe that I currently own! Yes, they will seem too tight for a lot of people, especially if you do have a high arch. But if you take the time to break them in, you will be rewarded with a supportive, comfortable and cute pair of shoes!

Very nice shoe. I ordered the 11.5/12, and it was too tight, and I had to return it. But I love the shoe.

Hot shoe. Really wanted to keep it, but, with my high instep it just would not fit.. The pressure across the top of my foot was at least 2x as much as the Professional model. Sure wish Dansko would make this shoe with a taller profile so I could wear it. The heel and footbed are perfect. The amount of room for a high instep is insufficient.

I love these shoes! However, I hesitated when ordering a 37 because I can sometimes wear a 7 and sometimes a 7½. I have three pairs of Dansko shoes in size 37 but the Ryder is a little more closed in and I think I will be more comfortable in a 38. I can get them on but had to loosen the snaps on the side. I think the shoes will look better not seeing the empty snap. I will reorder a 38.

Love the shoe and have many pairs of Dansko. Unfortunately I tried 2 sizes and could not find the right size. The heel was a little too wide for me which is generally not a problem. Very sad to send them back as they looked great.

I absolutely love these shoes! I am a huge Dansko fan to begin with and wanted to try a Dansko with a little more of a "heel". These work great...they have great support, nice height and look very nice with jeans...not so bulky like my other Professional clogs. Highly recommend!

Perfect for my foot type. These shoes are so cute. I got the black and I am thrilled. As for the fitting, I will try and help. I am a size 8-8.5 normally in shoes. I have a pair of Dansko sandals with straps in a size 39, which I have to have the straps as tight as they go. I ordered this shoe in a size 38 and it fits perfectly. I also have a narrow skinny foot. I wear a narrow in all my running shoes. If my foot were wide, this shoe would be very uncomfortable. So, if you have a narrow foot, try this shoe, if you are normal to wide, I believe you will find it too tight.

This is going to sound so trite, but I think I've found my dream shoe. I've been looking for a comfortable but fashionable shoe that can work for travel (shoes with easy off/on in airports), walking (I commute to/from the train daily to the office), errands (who wants to look frumpy) and going out to eat or for fun and kicking back. This shoe will fit all of those categories with ease. I just received them (brown leather) a couple of hours ago and can't take them off. I wear a size 10 and have a wide foot. After the birth of my first child 9 months ago I wasn't sure how my shoe size might have changed but so far I'm back to my typical size. These have enough of a heel to seem dress and will work well with jeans, trousers and skirts. They are a very substantial shoe and I even think my calf muscles are going to get a good workout wearing them! I will buy every color if the budget can sustain it. This is one of Dansko's best.

Love my Danskos! This shoe is dressy yet can also be worn with jeans. Very versatile! I love them! I have several pairs of Danskos clogs and have never been disappointed! I have very high arches so finding a comfortable shoe that supports my arch is very hard. Danskos are perfect support for my arches and they look great!

These are great shoes! Comfortable and funky - I love them. They seem a bit tight at first, but they stretch ever so slightly for a perfect fit.

These a very nice and in typical Dansko style they are made very well. They do run a little on the narrow side.

Even though my daughter has been recommending the brand to me for a few years now, Dansko styles have never particularly appealed to me and I found them easy to pass by when shoe shopping. That held until I spotted the Ryder at a local store while searching for some casual black shoes with a bit of a heel. I loved the Ryder's looks and style and decided to give them a try. Danskos, I was told by the salesperson, are designed to fit just a bit loosely in the heel and these do. I was concerned that this looser fit might be an issue - that it might not only take some time to get used to but that it might lead to rubbing, blisters, pain and any number of other Very Bad Things. Happily, none of those bad things came to pass and, for me, the get-used-to time was only one or two wearings. Buying these taught me that my Dansko-recommending daughter has grown into a very wise woman (okay fine, I was already aware of this) because, after owning them for three months, I can honestly (and with no small measure of surprise) state that these are the Most Comfortable Shoes I Have Ever Worn. Sometimes I actually look at them in disbelief, wondering how they manage to be so completely wonderful! I find myself wearing them almost daily to work and have also worn them on all day shopping-errand-general running around-days. Even after a literal sixteen hour day in the Ryders, my feet feel absolutely fine when I take the shoes off at night. I've started kind of smiling at them in gratitude when I'm putting them away each evening. Which is just a little disturbing, I know. But I'm also planning to purchase another pair or two (as soon as I can afford it) so that I have replacements when this first pair starts to wear out. You know, in case Dansko is foolish enough to discontinue the style. Because I so love my black Ryders, I decided to get them in brown as well. And that's where the "Tale of Two Colors" comes in. Now don't get me wrong - I like the brown Ryders. The leather used for them is more rugged looking and when I see the two colors side by side, I actually prefer the look of the brown ones. But the brown leather not only looks different, it feels different. And sadly, for me and my feet, the brown Ryders are nowhere near as comfortable as the black ones. When I first slipped them on, I thought they must be the wrong size. They felt much tighter all over the foot - toes, heel, top of foot. The heel strap on the Ryders is adjustable and I loosened it one snap. They still felt tight. I ordered the next size up. Still tight. I pondered whether or not to keep either pair, but because I so loved the black ones, decided to give them another chance. I spent a couple of evenings wearing them (the original size) with a pair of thick socks for a few hours while watching a movie (no walking or standing). This little bit of stretching did make a difference and the brown Ryders have since become relatively comfortable. I'll wear them when I'll be out for three or four hours or to work on those days when I'll be at my desk most of the time. But I would never choose them for those 16-hours-on-my-feet days. I should also note that the brown Ryders scuff up fairly easily, something that hasn't happened with the black ones. I consider the scuffing to be part of the "more rugged look" and rather like it, so it hasn't been an issue for me, but I know others would feel differently. While I'm not an expert, I attribute the difference in comfort to the type of leather used and I'm hoping that Dansko will add other color options to the Ryder style using the same type of leather they used to manufacture the black Ryders. So - bottom line? The Dansko Ryder is a great shoe, well made and good looking. They look beyond terrific with jeans. The brown ones? Handsome, but a little temperamental. The black ones? Shoe perfection.

These are so hot! I absolutely adore these shoes! I used to wear a 37 in Dansko's but after my first baby I ended up in a 38. These actually felt better in a 37 with a very thin sock or nylon. The arch hit me wrong with the 38. They are so comfortable and they look hot with jeans!

I love these shoes! I also had the best experience with Zappos. I ordered these shoes on a Thursday and they were on my doorstep on Friday, a day later. Best experience I've ever had! I will definitely be ordering all of my shoes from Zappos from now on. And the Dansko shoes I ordered are super cute! Thanks for everything!

Fantastic shoes! The platform heel is just right - even if you have issues wearing heels as I do. The wood sole keeps you stable and the studs add a hip factor.
