I have wide feet and found the opening too small. My sock would be pulled tight when I inserted my foot resulting in very painful toes if worn for any length of time.

I wanted to try these shoes because they look so comfortable. I could not find a local store that carried them so I ordered online. I really wish that I had had the opportunity to try them on! They were very hard to get on so order half a size larger. If the fit is not perfect they slide up and down on your heel. No flexibility at all in the heel. The shoes, once on, are comfortable. I have found that wearing thicker socks keeps the heels of the shoes from rubbing on my foot. Zappos was wonderful to work with in returning my first order, however, I would not have bought these shoes if I had tried them on in a store.

These slippers are not waterproof as Zappos currently claims, which was my main reason for trying them. They are a little hard to get on as others have written. They are also a bit short.

This was not very comfortable! Keen shoes are usually great, and I thought I could use these as slippers that could also go outside, but they are hard to pull on, and not comfortable so back they go.

I wanted these for house slippers, but even with a pair of socks on, they were very floppy on my feet.

These are really cool shoes but are very tight across the top of the foot. My feet are average width, but I cannot wear these shoes.

I was a little disappointed with these shoes. The aren't as soft and cushiony as they look. The top part above your foot took about a week to stretch and break in and left a sore mark. They are very stiff while putting them on. Another reviewer had it right when they said a shoe horn is needed. I found that thin socks or no socks work the best, but I have to say I have been getting sores on my heals from the rubbing. I kept them because after trying to break them in for a few weeks I am sure it is too late to return them. It was an expensive mistake. I do however think they look cute with jeans!

I love the looks of the Howsers but I bought them for slippers and they are too stiff to take on and off. Not very comfortable to use as slippers.

Initially I would have given these shoes a solid 5 stars. They are very comfy right out of the box and warm! However, I had to lower to 3 stars because after only three short months of casual use, the fabric has worn through on the top. One of the lines of channel stitching happens to be in the spot where the foot bends when you walk & tore right along the stitching line. Since the lining inside is white, it shows through making it quite noticeable. If you want comfortable shoes & don't care how long they last, these are the shoes for you. If you want shoes to last more than 3 months, don't buy these. As far as fit, they do tend to stretch a bit & mold to your feet well.

Perfect for an around-the-house shoe that's comfy like a slipper. As everyone says, though, the opening is too small and rigid, so it's hard to get the shoe on your foot. Once on, it's comfortable. I usually wear 6.5 or 7, and couldn't go any smaller than 7 in the Howser.

This shoe is somewhat uncomfortable. If you plan on wearing socks with it make sure they are thick and tight. Otherwise they will work down into the shoe. On the plus side it is water proof and warm. When I first got them the opening was very tight on the top of my foot but this has loosened up with wear.

These looked warm but ran very small. I had to return them. Keens usually fit me perfectly.

This shoe was crazy comfortable when I first got it and I loved that it was water resistant. However, after only a couple months of wear huge holes formed at the seams in the design on the shoe and I had to return them. This was for the wool version so the other fabric may last longer. I also felt my legs ache if I wore them while walking for a long time. It's an OK occasional shoe that is disguised as an everyday all weather shoe.

Cannot wear them. They are too big and too wide. If they get even bigger broken in, I'd never wear them.

Super comfortable but an absolute PAIN to put on. They need to add so much more elastic on the side so the shoe stretches way more when putting them on. My fingers and feet are so sore when attempting to put these shoes on. You definitely need a shoe horn to get them on.

This was just what I was looking for and have many pairs of Keens in a variety of styles. BUT I couldn't get my foot into these! Once I pried them on, they fit and were comfy, but getting them on was painful and ridiculous. Must return, alas.

Seems like a great shoe, but...alas, I could not get my foot into that small opening. They really should re-design it! I am sending it back. Too bad.

These are hard to put on. They provide decent comfort once they are on. They are not worth the effort. Other styles of Keens are my most comfortable shoes, I am disappointed. I will be returning these.

These are not waterproof. I don't like wearing boots in the winter because they never fit right with my pants. Got these as an alternative. They fit great, true to size, and are so warm. Especially with wool socks. But they are absolutely not waterproof. Wore them in this last noreaster, mostly rain. No accumulated snow. I hit just one puddle and my feet were soaked. They also do not dry quickly. I was on my way to an appointment and couldn't turn back home to change shoes, so instead I had soggy, freezing cold feet on the train and for the next four hours. Walking back home I couldn't avoid more puddles so my feet got even more wet. They're so comfy that I don't want to give them up so I treated with DWR last night and am hoping for the best.

I have absolutely no idea how this shoe fit, because I could not get my foot into the shoe. I bought two sizes to avoid this problem. Get a clue Keen...put a Zipper on it. Those of use with high very sensitive insteps need YOUR AWESOME arch support; so, please consider us and put a Zipper on it. Thanks Zappos, you are GREAT!

I own a 7½ pair of Keens which I love, so I thought these would fit. I was wrong! I couldn't get my feet in the openings. I am afraid that going up a size I would run into the same problem.

So comfy, loved them until they fell apart, ripped and fabric shredded after 4 months of normal wear.

This shoe was cheap looking, not like the picture at all. Keen? I'm shocked. I have a narrow foot and a small ankle, but the elastic was so tight that to get the shoe on would have been a struggle every time. Then, the cheap material was just embarrassing. I found a nice pair of Clark black patent boots that are insulated and waterproof to use to walk the dog. Love Zappos. This shoe, not at all.

These shoes were slightly tight across the top, but stretched out into an incredibly comfy shoe within days. Now however, I've had them for about 5 weeks and the wool is already falling apart. There's a visible slit in one side and holes rubbing through to the inner along the both sides of both shoes. Very disappointing. They won't even last one season.
