These are great boots! I got these just in time for the blizzard of February 2013 and used them to shovel out and walk the dog. I was outside for about three hours and the boots kept my feet warm and dry. If you are between sizes would suggest sizing up. What I liked was that although they have a border of fleece at the top, they are not overdone with fur/fake fur at the top. This let my snow pants fit over the boots beautifully.

I usually wear a 7.5 but in these I ordered an 8 because of the socks I'll wear with them...these Sorels are basic, cute, sturdy -- perfect for the snow. I really like them because they are not too big and bulky like certain other snow boots.

I needed good traction and these work great! I love that I can tuck my pants in and lace them up; they're very warm, comfortable and cute as well. I would absolutely recommend these to friends.

This are great boots for the price. I've had them for three years and use them every winter. I can rely on them to be warm, waterproof, and can take a beating. No special waterproofing sprays or gentle care required. I would buy them again.

The Sorel Lea is a solid boot that will keep your feet toasty and free from the wet and snow. I bought a cute pair of Uggs (Caspia, not the suede kind) for a trip to Whistler, and I was disappointed to find out even with weatherproofing the rain and snow soaked the boot. It only snows a couple times a year in Seattle, and one day when I was hiking a mile to the light rail I was determined to order a sturdy pair of boots I could walk through snow and ice and heavy rainstorms. I ordered these in the morning and somehow they arrived the next day! I love Zappos! They fit perfectly and I was able to hoof it to the station just fine. I couldn't wear these all days at work because they are too toasty and clunky for walking around the office, but they are perfect for the blustery rainy and snowy days when you are walking through the elements. I'm pretty sure they will last me forever since it only gets like this a few times a year!

I bought these boots for my daughter. She's quite the fashionista, so I wasn't sure if these would be too frumpy for her. She loves them. They keep her feet nice and toasty in our cold winter weather, and they are great for that nasty slushy snow that comes after all the pretty white stuff starts to melt! I bought her regular size and they fit just right.

Fabulous boots! I've had a pair for 6-8 years and they are still going strong! Warm, waterproof and look almost new still. I've given a pair to my mother and recently to my daughter and they have all held up beautifully!

I just received these boots, and I want to thank the great Zappos reviewers who helped me pick a warm boot that would work on my narrower foot! The last pair of winter boots I bought lasted for thirty years (it helps that I live in Dallas, Texas), so I figure if these last for another 30, I will come out ahead! Very cozy and comfortable. Nice heel support. I will be able to double-sock and/or lace a little tighter for a superb fit. Yes, they do appear to run narrow - my foot is very happy in them (none of that looseness that narrow girls have to put up with so often) - so if you have a wider foot and normally wear a medium, steer clear. They come up about mid-calf, and are great-looking, especially for a snow boot that is truly functional. Looking forward to wearing them in the mountains of CO and PA. As always with Zappos, super-fast shipping - I think they arrived a day or two after I ordered them (at most). Love you Zappos!

Love these boots. Great fit. Nice looking. Really good traction for snow. Especially feel they are great value for the price.

These boots seem wonderful but run about a 1/2 size small to me. I usually wear a 7-7.5, and the 7.5 just fits. Probably could have used the 8 if I wanted to wear with thick or ski socks. They also seem on the narrow side as far as width.

I normally wear a size 8, but I took the advice of other customers and went up to an 8.5. They fit great and are very comfortable. I am in Afghanistan right now and these are exactly what I needed for the cold, wet, winter we are having. My toes still get cold though, it has been in the lower single digits here lately. I can wear them all day though and my feet don't get sore! They are slick on the ice, no traction.

I am an 8 M exactly. comfy but the heel is a bit wide, always an issue with women's footwear when made on a man's foot last. Women have more narrow heels than men. Apparently even good shoe companies don't care.

These boots did not live up to the previous feedback. I bought them because of the ratings. I am in Colorado and own a horse rescue...my toes go numb in these boots. If you really need a warm boot, I would not recommend these. No insulation in the toes...so, even with thick and warm socks, these don't do a good job of keeping your toes toasty. P.S. If they are worn, you can't return them. :(

Because of the metal lace eyes these boots were tough to get the laces tight enough around my ankles. That meant the boots slipped at my heel with every step. They felt heavy. I'm returning them.

TERRIBLE boot. I bought this boot based on the reviews of warmth, well my feet are positively freezing! Within an hour of walking my feet were cold and it is not even winter yet. I also wanted something more stylish than my Keen's. I know better now.
