The belt quality is great, but I purchased the belt to match a pair of shoes I bought at the same time. The belt was suggested by the J&M website. The belt does not even come close to matching the shoes. Also, on sizing, the website said that if you wear 34" waist pants, you should order a 36" belt. That was bad advice. I have to cinch the belt to the tightest or next to tightest hole to fit.

Based on the images provided, this belt looks like a perfect match for JM shoes with a oiled finish. Unfortunately, it is actually a bit lighter in color and does not quite match. After I tried on the belt, I also felt like the two retaining loops looked a bit too formal for this belt. I would have preferred it if it only had one loop instead. Despite these small complaints, the belt looks good and appears to be high quality.

I realize the spectrum of color in the brown family can be subjective (this belt was called "brown," and the online pictures look like a medium brown), but the belt I got was very light in color (I think 99% of people would call it tan). Otherwise it is a great belt, but not to go with the Upton shoes as I had intended.

Disappointed in the color of this belt. Picture online clearly shows a dark brown colored belt but when I received it, it was very light tan.

The actual color was much lighter than what appears in the photo.

DOES NOT MATCH McGuffey Dark Brown Tumbled Full Grain Shoes!!!!!! Even though it says it pairs with them, they do not match. 2-stars because that's the reason I purchased. The Belt itself is okay, the underside is pretty rough so it may damage more delicate dress pants when sliding through the belt loops.

I purchased this to replace the same belt I had several years ago, but this one is several shades lighter than what I had and what the picture shows. It's much too light which makes it look off with most brown boots.

The belt I received is a very light beige NOTHING close to resembling the photo and color shown in the description. Extreme dissapointment.

The belt buckle broke randomly after a week of use, and the color looked very different from online " kind of a sickly lighter tan. I'll stick with the shoes only next time
