I ordered a size 8 (my usual size) and a 7. The 7 fit perfectly. The boots are cute, but for me the deal-breaker was the lining which is fuzzy/insulated. It's too hot for that here!

These boots are comfortable, but they are not what I was looking for, so I am returning them. I ordered a 9 and they were true to size. Because the footbed is cushy, it does feel like there is moderate arch support once the foot sinks, but if you were to feel the footbed there is no rise around the arch. This is a very flexible, soft rubber that ends up folding or collapsing into the leg when walking, which is ultimately why I am returning them. I am not sure if this would affect wear and tear, but I am sticking with Burberry boots that have stiffer rubber that will not fold or crease. The shaft of the Regent is 16?" at its tallest point, and the calf measurement around the outside of the boot an inch from the top of the shaft is 16½".

I've bought 2 pairs of these boots and each pair has holes (the first pair got holes after about a year of use and the second pair got holes after only a few months of use). The holes form where my toes bend. It seems like they are a thinner material than the normal Hunter boots and much less durable. Such a shame! I got so many compliments on these boots but will never buy them again after 2 faulty pairs.

I have owned 3 pairs of these boots and every single one of them has cracked and ripped on the top and the heel has worn down so it leaks now too. Thankfully Zappos is wonderful with customer service and I never had to pay for any of these replacements but for the price you're paying for Hunter these aren't worth it.

I bought these boots last summer on the reputation of Hunter. I'd never paid so much for rain boots in my life. They disappointed on three fronts: (1) not adaptable with winter socks for wearing in winter; (2) stiff and uncomfortable; and most of all (3) not at all durable. The third point is what matters, so here is my review: Avoid these boots. I've worn them perhaps 20-30 times over the course of a not-particularly snowy or rainy year. The result has been that both boots are broken in the bottom sole: on the right, the body of the boot and the sole have split. On the left, about a 1/2 cm of wear on the heel has given it a hole. Yes, you read that right. Under a year of wear - and a very temperate year - wore the heels right through. My prior $60 rainboots sprung a leak after 2 years, but at least they never wore through the heels. Leaks can be re-glued. This pair lasted 10 months before it fell apart in two places. Never again, Hunter.
