This is a great boot. Absolutely comfortable to wear all day. The bamboo liner is a significant plus for heat and odor control! Note, these boots are meant to be a hunting or work boot. It even comes with two pairs of foot beds. But when you buy the boot, think about how you are going to wear it. If you will likely be walking quite a bit but will wear a thin sock, opt for a boot one size smaller than your normal shoe size. If you are going to be wearing it with a thick sock or even the fleece Hunter liners, stick with your normal shoe size. If not, they will feel a bit snug and obviously these are not leather boots; they are not going to stretch. Go ahead, pull the trigger and buy them - you will love how comfortable these top of the line wellies will feel.

These boots rock! But size down, or they may be too big. They also come with two sets of insoles- a nice bonus.

I bought these to keep my (male) feet dry while walking around wetlands in a field class. I was concerned that they would look feminine, as many college girls wear the classic Hunter boots around campus. I am very pleased with how rugged and distinguished these look compared to the classic boots. I like that the upper is adjustable and can accomodate my calves and pants with no problem (a common complaint with the classics).
I am very pleased. I like they they are lined. They are extremely comfortable.
Yes, they are expensive but can you put a price on not looking like a serial killer just because you have to keep your feet dry?

These are very sturdy and comfortable boots. They are well designed, a good height, good width for calves, and a clever ledge on the back of the boot to assist in taking them off.

The color is lighter than pictured. The boots are heavy, but that's most likely a sign of durability.

If you want fashion boots for wandering around the city, get the Hunter originals. If you hunt, farm, or actually go out in to nature in your boots, these are the ones you are looking for. The footbed support actually exists unlike with the original. The upper is far more durable and will take the abuse of tromping through brush and swamps. The nice part is they clean up well and still look good if you end up in town after your chores our activities are done. Never thought I'd get compliments on them but I do. Beware, they run a little large, I typically wear a 11.5 or 12, and the size 11 works perfect for me in these boots with room to spare for thick socks.

Excellent heavy outdoor boot, comes with light and heavy inserts. Great for yardwork in wet and boggy conditions. A great look around the horses.

There is only one wellie, and its made by Hunter.
These are the only waterproofs I've found that fit like real boots (not galoshes) and offer all day comfort like good shoes. And they look good, too.

I was happy with the wide variety of items from which to choose and after the order was made the boots arrived on time. Of course I was happy with the no shipping charge policy.

These boots feel wonderful, fit nicely [true to size, with a little extra room for thick socks - but also come with an extra pair of insoles to allow a snugger fit], and the adjustable strap at the top is a great feature. On me [female], they come up to the bottom of my knees, exactly what I was looking for. The quality is outstanding - well worth the investment for a pair of boots that will last me a long time. Made for moderate to heavy use. The best feature, in my mind, is the small spot on the back of the heel that allows you to get them off easily [by pressing down with your other foot or hand while removing them]. Also, they are really good looking!

My wife just got me these boots, and they are incredible - very comfortable, and a lot sturdier or beefier than the original Hunters. The originals are still good but this is better.
In my opinion they look cooler than the originals, and I would have no problem walking around town in these after rinsing off the mud.

These were for my husband. He loves them! Not clunky, flexible and very comfy. He wears them all day long in the field, and has no complaints. The two sets of insoles come in really handy because the thicker one allows for a thin sock (summer) and thinner one allows for a thick sock (winter). The boots are tall enough to keep all the water and ticks out and the cinches are nice and sturdy. Great boot! He normally wears 10.5 but this boot fits perfectly at size 10M

I was worried about sizing because of so many reviews stating that Hunters ran large. I usually wear a US size 12, ordered the 12, and they fit perfect right out of the box. Using the two insoles I can work anything from a basic white cotton athletic sock all the way up to a heavyweight wool hunting sock and it feels great. I was really surprised at how comfortable they were. The bamboo carbon lining is pretty warm, especially if you are moving around outside. I wore these to a football game where the temperature was about 28 degrees, with my heavyweight wool socks, and my feet got cold after halftime, but it is tough to fight cold feet when you are just sitting there and it is below freezing. I think in person the sole looks a little more aggressive than in the pictures online - it is a serious sole made for heavy outdoor work.

These are terrific boots. I tried the Hunter Original and the calves were too small, plus they were too tall for my leg, and too lightweight for the type of walking I do - fields and woods, uneven ground, slopes etc. These Balmorals have a wider and gusseted calf, are slightly shorter, have better support and a thicker sole. Very very pleased. I wear a women's 10 and got a men's 8 and they are just right.

These are real boots for real outdoor uses, not just a fashion statement. Yes, they do look cool too. The two different sized sole inserts provided are clever and provide the ability to wear lighter weight socks in warm weather and heavier socks in cold. Recommend you err on ordering a slightly larger size than a normal dress shoes.

These boots are a qualified success. I was very hesitant to buy a pair of hunter boots, because of the offshore manufacture, reduction in quality, and a general dislike of the latest version of the traditional wellies that "everyone" has to have. I had a pair 15 years ago and they were great then, but not now. So when Zappos put these on sale I used their dependability and outstanding customer service as a cushion, and I got a pair of brown 13's. These boots are much better than the common Hunters. The sole is sturdily cleated, doesn't clog with stuff, and the boot fits well and is comfortable. They are protective without being clunky. The lining is good for cold weather, but maybe not subfreezing. I'm outside for 10-12 hours on the farm and they let me keep going. The brown color complements many of the things that you could step in at the farm, and after cleanup, they still look good enough to go into town. Well, maybe not church, but a country town. The horsey-girls like them a lot. I do wish they were about 2-3 inches taller and 1-2 inches wider at the leg but I'm a fairly large guy so that might not apply to you. On the other hand, for the list price of these boots or a bit more, you could step up to Le Chameau's and get the best. I sure hope these last - fingers crossed.

These boots have been sitting in my closet because I wasn't sure I was going to keep them. I have a pair of regular Hunter Wellingtons and I didn't know if these were enough to justify the cost. They got their first run today, and I can say, yes... they are definitely worth it. The more substantial footbed/tread is great, and they are so much easier to get on and off with the side gussets/straps. I do wish they came in black, but the dark green is suitable enough.

I wear a 10 and a half...the size ten fit perfect and maybe a slight bit snug at calf with pant legs tucked in, but still good. Good quality boots.

These are high quality boots. I bought them to replace a pair of worn out original Hunter boots. The Balmorals are higher, have a more aggressive tread and are made of much heavier rubber. I only wish they made them in half sizes. I usually wear a size 13. My old Hunter boots were size 12 and fit very tight - which I liked for hunting and active wear. The Balmorals are size 13 and I have a little heel slip - even with heavy socks and both of the included inserts in place.

I have two pairs of the original tall Hunter wellies, but I wanted something warmer for the winters in Minnesota. The Hunter Balmorals are perfect. They fit me true to size and they are plenty warm without getting too hot. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Bought these as I was looking for an adjustable boot for my muscular calves (15") so I can wear with jeans if I wanted to and not struggle with getting them on and off. Being a female I was a bit apprehensive about these since they are male Hunter boots, but the price was great, so I took a chance. Glad I did. They fit great. I'm usually an 8.5 or 9 in women's shoes and ordered a 7. Fit great. They are a little bit more rugged than other boots, but I like the look. Happy with my purchase!

I loved these boots except that the sole separated from the boot at the heel after a few months of wear. I bought two pairs to wear around my property walking the dogs and doing chores, and both pairs did this after a few months.
