I absolutley loved my old pair of Salomons with the ease of 'tying' my shoes, the great support, and great fit, I was worried about finding a new pair to replace my beat up old ones. These ones are absolutley perfect, they fit exactly like my old ones, and even better they are gore-tex! I trekked through tons of rivers and puddles with these on my last 40 mile backpack and never once did my feet get wet! They are a little bit oversized, I normally wear a size 7½ and for Salomons I need an 8. I absolutley love these shoes!!!

This may be the best, most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. These shoes arrived on my doorstep the day we left home for a trip to Europe. I have a history of foot problems and foot surgery, so it is normally quite difficult for me to find comfortable shoes. I decided to take the plunge and wear this shoe on my trip. I had zero problems with comfort or fit, and was happy as a clam when I went hiking and walked through a mountain stream with completely dry and comfortable feet. Now that I'm back home again, my usual, everyday shoes (running shoes) just don't seem to cut it anymore because these shoes have spoiled me!

The shoes are very light-weight. The only thing to be aware is that the shoe is half-size larger than marked. I normally wear size 7.5 however this time I followed other buyer's advice and ordered size 7. It fits me well. Highly recommend these shoes.

Love these! This is my fifth pair of Salomons! I wear a 7, but a 6.5 in Salomons. Love the GTX. Use for trail running and racing. My feet are always dry even in sloppy terrain and weather.

I love them. I have worn Salamons for five years and every new style gets better and better. It is very true to size.

At first I was unsure about these shoes; the toe box is very rigid and the first time I wore them, they felt stiff and uncomfortable. Then I played around with the lace tension and realized I was cinching them too tightly. Now, weeks later, I want to wear these shoes everywhere - from running my dog on trails to going to work! The footbed is wonderful, I now love the lacing adjustments, and my feet are as dry as can be (and I live in the Pacific NW)!

This is my second pair of these Salomons. They are very supportive and a good shoe for drippy Northwest weather.

These shoes feel a half size large but I will keep them so I can wear heavy socks. Very comfortable first time out. I wore them on a hike no blisters or soreness. I was impressed!

This is my second pair of the same shoes. They are obviously worth buying! I wore the other ones out. The top layer got a hole near the little toe, but that happens with all shoes when you wear them every day for a year. It was still weatherproof as the Gore-Tex layer below was still intact. They are comfortable, look good, and have a great tread for bushwalking. The drawstring is speedy to put on and take off, making them better than laces. They size large (I am usually 5½, but I buy these in a 5) as long as you know that they are awesome. They have a good, wide width in the toe box, too.

I'm not a trail runner, but I do a lot of paved path and trail walking and this is a great shoe. It has excellent support and the tread is grippy in any condition. This one is a bit warm so probably not the best pick for hot footed individuals, go with the non-GoreTex model.

Love not having to mess with laces! The pull and release tab does the work. These high tech sneakers feel like a moccasin with all the support and grip to run up a mountain. Great arch support - great rugged material and sole with secure ankle adjustment yet soft material where you need it for no chafing.

I love these shoes! This is my 3rd pair and the lightest in weight yet. I have run in the mud and rain all winter and my feet stay warm and dry. I took my last pair to Europe and hiked all over Switzerland and in the wet UK. They were a good substitute for hiking boots without the bulk. The downside is the lacing system. Weird and clunky and heaven help you if the laces break...get out the sail-repair needle, get the repair kit from REI and set aside 30 minutes to thread the new laces through the really teeny holes. I wish they would just put an elastic gore on the side of the tongue and one could slip into the shoe without any laces. I still think it's a great trail running shoe. 4 and a half stars.

I purchased Salomons many many times. I've purchased this particular shoe twice. I walk my dogs with them every day and the first pair lasted me 18 months. My feet cannot live without them. I don't use the Salomon insole. I use a Super Feet arch support but its a small price to pay for a great fit. Also, I had a problem with my second pair and had to return them. Zappos made it so easy. I'm enjoying my second pair with confidence and my feet feel great!

I'm using these for my occupation. I work outside walking about 6 miles a day on street and land. These work for me and are very comfortable. I usually get Merrells but wanted to try these out. I like them and will probably get more depending on how ling the sole lasts.

I love this shoe. Style is fantastic. They fit great. I had a pair of Salomon shoes which lasted forever. Along with the goretex lining this is as close as it gets to a perfect running shoe. They do run a 1 to 1/2 size large.

I'm so happy with these running shoes! Living in WA state I needed something that was going to be Gore-Tex and these shoes are definitely it! I did go into a store that had them in stock because I heard that the sizing was large. I normally wear a 7.5-8 and I ordered the 7.

This is the second pair of Salomon GTX I've bought. The first pair lasted 2 years with constant wear in the winter months. This is the only athletic shoe I've had that fits true to size. I usually have to go up a half a size. The arch support and general foot support is fantastic whether I'm hiking in mountains, or walking the streets of Chicago. I love the easy on and off with the lacing system. The only downside is replacing the laces. It's not easy, so if they would perfect that, it would be the perfect shoe. I had to buy a new pair because the laces broke, and I could only replace it on one shoe (my puppy chewed one of the eyelets making it impossible to thread the lace through the narrow opening and not Solomon's fault). I will definitely buy another pair when I need them!

This is my 6th or 7th pair of Salomon trail runners, they are the very best shoes I have found for walking dogs on wooded - often muddy - trails. Truly waterproof and great traction. So comfy I bought a pair to work in...standing all day on concrete...and they are perfect for that too. I use a different insert than the one provided. I will order another pair as soon as I wear out this one!

Great for trail! Comfortable after the break-in period, which took me x5 runs. The Gore-Tex is great! Love the color! Feels really secure and light! I have really small feet - size 4 1/2 - I got the size 5 and I already expected that it will be really loose, but then, you'd want it that way for trail running, so it works for me! The price is not bad if you really want to invest in a pair of great shoes!

This is the second pair of Salomon Trail Runner shoes I've owned. I absolutely love them. I use them for everyday shoes and do some light hiking in them as well. Once broken in they are so comfy. I am sold on the quick lace system, though, if you are looking for a shoe to run in I'm not so sure these would work as well as regular lace ups. The laces do have a tendency to loosen up a little. I will also mention that when I first put these shoes on they felt narrower than my old pair. But they do stretch out as you break them in.

I love these shoes. The red color is beautiful and different. The shoes are true to size were comfy the first time I put them on. My favorite thing is the cinch which you can tuck away in the little pocket on the top of the tongue. They keep my feet completely dry.

I have had these shoes for two months now and they have become my favorite for walking the dog and running errands. I like the styling, comfort and ease of slipping on and off. I absolutely love not having to worry about wet, cold feet as I walk through slushy sidewalks. I can see wearing these year-round . I will say, that initially they were very stiff and slipped in the heel. I considered returning them because of this, but I liked the styling so much I kept wearing them. They broke in nicely and are now extremely comfortable. The lacing system is quick and allows for an effortless good fit. They came with instructions for the lacing system, which I guess I should read because there are times when the ends come untucked and flop. Overall - a fantastic purchase.

My husband has had Salomons since we got married 5 years ago, he loves them. We are very outdoorsy people. We hike 5 days of the week, our vacations are camping trips, and we run a lot. When we were in New Zealand, we saw many people wearing Salomons there as well. My in-laws bought me these for Christmas after I had "brown gym shoes" on my Christmas list. I was so excited when I opened them up. Love, love, love them! So easy to tighten, especially since I have a 2 year old and a 3 month old to get out of the house with me. Haven't run in them yet or hiked in them. I just wear them to go with outfits that need brown gym shoes and they're super cute. Can't wait 'til spring to try them on our hiking trails around here.
