Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Great material quality, the flexibility with your gloves on is absolutely phenomenal. Driving, working around the yard, etc. warmth and the quality is top shelf. Absolutely a must for anybody that wants a glove that's flexible enough to do Precision work yet has a classy look. Durability is phenomenal . Worth the price, you get what you pay for.

Really nice gloves - I bought them as work gloves but they are much better quality than expected and I've decided to use them for cold/cool weather driving gloves - they are excellent at that. This the first Marmot product I've used and I am impressed with the quality & craftsmanship. Will definitely purchase other Marmot items.

These gloves were the ones I saw elsewhere. Zappos had the best price. I was very satisfied.

The name Basic Work Glove by Marmot is not exactly the best description of these great gloves. The leather is lush and obviously a good quality, the fit is true to size and the styling is very cool. They are warm thanks to the wicking lining. Although they feel substantial enough to actually use for yard work, they are much too nice for that. These are great all around gloves, good for city and country wear.

Depends on your plans with the gloves. They are not a heavy duty material (not leather) and are rather thin (not for cold Wisconsin days of splitting wood, etc.). But, they will serve a purpose in late spring, early fall, yardwork type of work. Would like them a bit thicker for moving wood, but still not a bad work glove.

These are my 'go to' work gloves! Great fit and comfort.
Just wish they'd last a little longer and cost a little less....

I just picked up a pair of these gloves and I'm so happy with then personally despite a lot of negative reviews. I can understand why some people might have issues with them but for me they are working out perfectly. They feel so comfortable I'm even a little afraid to mess them up which is probably my only issue with them because they are technically work gloves! Sizing might be an issue for some so I'd try them on first. The large fit fine but I'm wondering if the medium would fit too. Might even get a second pair!

Simple, classy look with adequate insulation for a chilly day. Very clean lines without a lot of embellishment, Marmot's BWGs look and feel more sophisticated than work gloves you'd buy from hardware and home improvement stores. You can tell the leather is alot higher quality, but they hold up extremely well when actually using them to shovel, carry things, etc. My lifestyle is extremely mobile, and I'm constantly transitioning from work activities to social activities, and these gloves allow me to change surroundings appropriately without having to change them. The gloves are a bit on the "straight" side, in that they're not pre-curved to your hand, so there's some bunching in the joints when you wrap your hand around a steering wheel or a handle on a tote. I would never expect to use them for snow sports, but they'd cover me for everything else in cold temperatures. I wouldn't want to do yard work in them, tho', that'd just be haughty – I'll use the $5 bulk-rate gloves for that.

These gloves are incredibly soft and comfortable. Great for winter driving or around the city. They do not repel water well though.

The design of these has changed since I last purchased a few years ago. The size Small is now too big, so I have returned them. The return process went well.

This is m y second pair of Basic Work Gloves. I loved the gloves and wore them daily for most all outside activity in the snow and cold of Winter, including out to dinner. The new XL pair is close to 1" longer in the fingers in comparing to the original XL pair. This is awkward in gloves when you have that much extra space. The leather is also different--stiffer and seems like a lesser leather.
Any way, these went from my favorite glove due to fit/comfort to a bulky stiff leather thing I have thrown into my chain bag for chair removal. No more Marmot for me.

The "leather" these are made of now is paper thin and does not seem natural. It's not the same as my old pairs. I do not recommend these and would suggest looking elsewhere. I'm disappointed.

The gloves aren't holding up, the "leather" is flaking off in multiple spots with minimal use. I'm a bit disappointed in the quality of the glove because Marmot usually makes a great product.

These gloves were very uncomfortable. One of the fingers on one glove was much thinner than the corresponding finger on the other one. Also, the fingers were long, but the body of the glove seemed short. I haven't experience these issues with fit in other brands of gloves, so I returned them.

This is hands down the most disappointing purchase I've ever made. The gloves don't even seem to be made out of leather. The cut is odd. The gloves are junk. Absolutely not what I was expecting. Marmot should be embarrassed to have their name on these gloves.

I have been wearing these gloves for over 10 years. I've been through 3 pairs in that time-currently on my third pair that I purchased in 2018. I have always loved these gloves. simple, very durable, good quality leather with a nice fleece liner. I wear them for everything, yard work, cold weather biking, belaying, spring skiing. I beat the crap out of them and keep them nikwaxed. When they finally wear through I replace them. I just recently purchased another pair and they were VERY POOR QUALITY. The new ones just came in the mail and I am sending them back. The leather is really thin and stiff, I'm honestly not sure if its even real. The fleece liner has been swapped for a thin microfiber and the fit, for whatever reason is way off. All of the fingers were about 1/4" longer and a few fingers weren't even sewn straight. I am so disappointed. Time to find a new winter work glove. What the heck Marmot.
