The bill of the cap appears to be larger than normal. It is a fit hat, but is made of stretchy material. The rim of hat stretches. Hopes this adds more detail in the description.

I got this for vacation at the lake, and just wanted a plain hat. It does the trick. Sits low on your head, might be an issue depending on where your ears are. Wish it were a bit cheaper...hence 4 stars.

I had an Olive XL version of this hat that I absolutely loved. I've got a pretty large dome, and that XL was finally a hat big enough that didn't squeeze my forehead and it looked great. Problem was...my dog ate it. Literally chewed it to pieces. So naturally I replaced it, this time with a Navy XL hat, and to be honest that one is too big. Both were XLs but the Navy hat is bigger than the Olive one was. I still like it and wear it often though. I'm sure this is an anomaly and I know sizes vary with anything. Since Zappos is awesome about returns, I'm ordering another olive L and an XL and will keep the one that fits and return the other. Thanks guys.

Overall a very nice, higher-quality flexfit-type hat. The color is already slightly faded for that worn, favorite hat look. It seems like the sizing is a bit large, but head shapes are a tricky thing. Using the fitment chart on the Goorin Bros. website I should be a large, and seemed to fit well at first, but now it's a bit large. Still a nice hat though. My only real qualm is that it is much warmer than similar hats that I own. A good spring/fall hat...maybe even summer evenings...but I wear something cooler on those hot summer days. It's a nice hat, especially for the price. I'd say if you think you're a large, get a medium.

I agree with the reviewer who says it sticks out too far horizontally. I got L and XL, and the XL is really my "actual size" - but even the L was too wide. The fabric is nice & it looks good from that perspective. However, there's a sizing problem. The main band that goes around the head is too big and creates that "dopey" appearance that the other reviewer stated. The actual fabric of the had fits well though - but it sticks out at the edges by your ears. It's funny it worked so well for many people - but not me or that other reviewer (maybe our heads are similarly shaped). I'm debating ordering a medium...cuz I like the fabric and the look - but the construction / sizing is a big of a problem.

I've purchased 4 Goorin Bros. caps. Three were the "Slayer" model. The first one was the best baseball type cap I've ever owned. It fit perfectly, was exceptionally well made with excellent quality materials. The second two were simply thrown away. Same material, but appeared to have been assembled by drunks. The stitching was done without regard to centering the material leaving a lopsided look that was clearly not right. Fit was nearly 2 hat sizes larger than what was ordered, and very different in size and fit from the first "Slayer" I purchased. I should have returned both, but kept them for whatever rationalization reasons I conjured up. In fairness, the other Goorin Cap I received was as excellent as the first, but Goorin is going to have to do better quality control to regain my business. These folks can make a really fine product, but if only half of them are usable, that's nicht sehr gut.

I bought size XL and received a hat at least two sizes larger marked XL. Sent it back and got another hat marked XL which is similarly too large. A different type hat from this same supplier is fine and fits perfect. Something wrong with the sizing of the Slayer.
