Think of this as your day pack, but for multi-day trips. Stows everything from 17 inch laptops to easy-access keys to water bottles and so on. To quote Thomas Yorke: everything. In its right place and solid buy!

I really like this pack. It has a few issues, but overall, it is great. It is not waterproof, and not really water-resistant, which is not something I really like, but I have mostly been using it as a school pack, so that is ok, and I am going to try to treat it soon, to make it more waterproof. The hip belt doesn't really do much for support, but it does keep the pack from bouncing. It is really deep, and barely holds all of my stuff, but i think thats because I tend to carry a ton of notebooks and stuff for class. The electronics pocket is great, but it can make getting my laptop out a bit tricky. But overall, great pack, great brand, so I'm happy.

I wanted to like this bag but it was never comfortable. I realized that the straps on either side were misaligned. Zappos graciously replaced the bag but the straps on the second bag were misaligned as well. Also the bag buckles in the middle. It is not designed well at all.

Perfect purchase! I purchased this backpack more than 4 years ago while I was completing my undergraduate degrees and I can only said good things about it. I still use it currently as a professional. Two thumbs up!

I replaced a Pacsafe security pack that is no longer offered by Pacsafe. This one is a perfect size as a carry-on for all the stuff I don't want to check in a suitcase. If I have any criticism at all, it's that there's a learning curve as to where all the little pockets are. Once I get that down pat, I'll be totally happy with it. Typical Patagonia quality, too.

Got this backpack about a year ago for my last year of college and it held up perfectly, carried all my books, water bottle, laptop, etc with ease. Since then I've moved states and traveled extensively. I couldn't fit enough stuff for a week long trip in it, but a weekend or a few days it works perfectly. I have taken it camping, to the beach, hiking, and kayaking. It has done wonderfully. My only complaint is that it got a bit wet kayaking and despite the specs saying "•Fabric: (All treated with a Deluge® DWR (durable water repellent) finish" everything in the pack was DRENCHED. Oh well, it's done well besides that.

Great backpack for everyday use and weekender trips. Can hold most everything you need for a few days. I love the large side open pockets that can hold water bottles and thermos'. Might be a bit too big of a bag for the everyday commute, but the convenience of not needing 2 different packs is great. Seems to be solidly constructed and of good quality. Smooth styling too. Very minimalistic and lowpro.

This bag is just what I needed. I have a very large 17 inch laptop and this was the first bag that I found that my laptop actually fit into. The only thing I wish was different was I wish I could remove the waist strap. I never use it and it ends up just dangling down behind me. That is not a big deal though.

I purchased this backpack in aquamarine (I think it's a color they no longer sell) a few years ago for my final years in college. I am in my final semester, and this backpack has been one of the most the most reliable things during this time. I have been able to hold two textbooks (granted they were rather thin), laptop and charger, a couple of notebooks, two binders, lunch, and a bottle of water at any given time. In addition to the daily use during the school year, I use this backpack to travel. On flights, I have been able hold my travel documents, laptop and charger, a change in clothes, snacks, and a few books. Even after a few years of intense use, it's still holding up and looking great!

I originally bought a North Face Big Shot II because I had another North Face forever and loved it. When I got the Big Shot, I could tell it wasn't as quality. The Patagonia is awesome! It's huge but doesn't feel huge. Very comfortable. I would recommend this for sure.

I'm officially in love with Patagonia. I can fit my books, gym clothes + shoes, shower stuff, laptop, cantene, and pretty much everything I need on a daily basis with room to spare. It's very comfortable on the shoulders on long hikes. The sternum strap makes all the difference. I've worn this in two downpours and everything remained dry as a bone. Awesome bag!

Awesome so far! I am a Grad student so I need a lot of room to pack big books and possibly a lunch for the long days. I really wanted a bag that had a good sleeve for my 13 inch mac. Fits everything perfectly in addition to my iPad. Also has room to spare to put a lunch or a jacket on top of all my books. Im very protective of my sunglasses so the lined pouch at the top is an awesome feature. My pack has been rain tested on days when I forgot an umbrella and the water just turned into beads instantly. Great zipper protectors against the rain as well. I have read other people complain about the shoulder straps.. I have had this thing loaded down and the straps were still very comfortable for me, especially with the chest strap buckled. Pockets everywhere and the two sleeves fit nalgene bottles nicely. Transitions nicely to a daypack or bag for any kind of travel. All in all, Awesome pack!

This is our second one of these backpacks for our organizationally challenged HS student. Perfect size, right amount of pouches and spots to store things. Great, bright color. Well-made, even if the last one gave out after almost 3 years. Highly recommend.

This bag is the best all-purpose backpack I could find. I love bags. I have The North Face, Osprey, LL Bean and other Patagonia bags, but this is my favorite multi-purpose pack. It is big enough for most purposes, and it doesn't look sloppy if it's not filled. The subtle logo on the front looks a little more sophisticated than the usual sporty look of most packs. And it's Patagonia, so the quality is great.

Overall great bag. Flexible enough to hold everything for a two-or-three day business trip, including clothing and computer, but light enough for day-to-day use. Lots of pockets and compartments to keep your things organized and in place. Three criticisms: 1) The waist straps dangle when not in use. 2) I wish this looked a bit less like an outdoor bag. 3) The pulls on the main compartment zipper seem a bit small because of the flap having over that closure. Makes it a bit hard to grab them. I'm also glad to have purchased this bag because of Patagonia's efforts to be more transparent concerning the environmental impact of their product manufacturing processes.

Patagonia quality is a given, and true, once again here. I chose this bag both for my sundries flying container and for real hiking. As to the first it has all the requisite storage for writing materials, iPod and phones, and extra padding in a space for my laptop. Again, Patagonia thinks these things through with greater detail than most. The laptop is held above the bottom of the pack so it doesn't bang and get injured when the pack is on the ground. The small stuff storage is set high so I can reach it easily when it sits on the floor between my legs in flight. For actual hiking I like the 32L size more than the 28L - there's room for my rain shell, a lunch and more. Padded straps, zippers and hardware are all of the expected quality. The heavily reinforced bottom will last forever no matter how many times I drag it across sharp and abrasive the rocks. My only complaint is that it is sometimes difficult to pull the zippers around the major pockets because they are restricted by the substantial rain flaps that protect them.

Comfort, style, and functionality all in one. I'm a full time college student and this holds all I need with space for a little more. Feels great wearing it with a heavy coat or just a T-shirt.

This pack is great! We use it to hold baby gear for a 3 year old and 1 month old. I has tons of storage space, but not bulky at all.

Great Bag. Lots of surprise areas to store everything you need. I use this as a work bag. The walk from the garage to the building, and to my desk is long. I needed to give my arms a break. Also great for overnight trips. Love the color, and it's very comfortable.

As a bird watcher I have been searching for a durable pack for travel with a large compartment that will hold all my optics, and one that has a separate computer section for easy TSA access. It also has smaller packets for those things that fall to the bottom. Love it!

I am a middle aged adult who is also a full time student majoring in English. Translate this as commuting student who hauls a full day's worth of snacks, drinks, books, and a laptop. I also live on the northern prairie which means my gear must be able to stand up to the elements. In the summertime I am also a motorcycle rider. I love this pack because it is available in bright colors, increasing my visibility as a rider. It is weatherproof which means my precious books and laptop are in no danger from the elements. there are lots of slots for pens, thumb drives, steno pads, and much more. When I walk across campus, the center of gravity is perfect with this pack, meaning I feel in no danger of a slip and fall. The two side pockets are perfect for 1 liter Diet Cokes or Camelbak bottles. Did I mention a lot of interior storage? Or a padded laptop sleeve on the inside? I will be lost if Patagonia ever discontinues this line.

This has been one of the best online-buying experience I have ever had. Kudos to Zappos! Everything went smoothly, from the ordering to the reception of the package. About the Fuego Pack 32L, what can I say? Just the best backpack you will ever own. Great bag! support back. Lightweight. Spacious. Fit my 16" laptop with more space to spare! It's hard to find a nice, stylish bag that is as organized as this one. Extremely happy with this bag. Best bag ever!
