I was hesitant to order shoes online as I have a difficult time finding shoes that fit properly (size 14EEEE). I live on the Canada/US border so it was convenient for me to have the order sent to a UPS office. If I lived more than 1 hour from the USA, Zappos wouldn't be an option for me. The Asics Gel Kahanas fit great but they arrived with the heel medallions falling off. I had to glue them back on, but I would rather do that than go through the frustration of returning them for another pair. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and I like the shoes. I will probably order from Zappos again but I will be checking other online retailers as well.

Very wide at 4E, perfect for my feet. I usually go with new balance, but these seem to be even wider (or have a bigger toe box) and fit me better. They are light, and time will tell if they hold up. Good for the trail and kicking around town.

Bought this shoe looking for a more aggressive tread for trail running, but also a replacement for my old road shoes. This shoe is alright, but I will not buy it or recommend it. Due to no arch support I'm pretty sure this shoe gave me shin splints and I have been battling them for the last year. My old Asics road shoes have great arch support and after a 5K my arches were fine so it must be these shoes. Also the sole tore about an inch at one of the back outer lugs. They were, however, pretty cheap and I guess I got what I paid for.

The liner under mesh on top of right shoe has worn through Left is fine. Bought shoe October 2010. Wear about once a week. Similar shoe, left one, same problem but lasted 2 years until it occurred. Quality?

These shoes are comfortable and fit well. But I found they lacked the support I need in my shoes. I had to give up wearing them after 2 weeks.

Great shoe, but ruined by style. I bought these shoes a few months ago and, I'd hate to say it, but I don't wear them often because they look really nerdy. The light gray patches pop out visually too much, but that's not a big deal (especially after you get them dirty). The main problem is the tongue sticks up an inch and a half out the top of the shoe, which makes them look ridiculous. They're great for hiking and jogging, but have no use for any casual situation. I don't expect running shoes to look stylish, but they shouldn't look silly. I wish I could attach a picture of what it looks like. It's so bad I wonder if mine are defective. Perhaps they sewed a size 18 tongue on my size 12? (By the way, the 4E is legitimately wide, so that is good.)

True to size. Felt great on my foot out of the box. However, on day #3, after only walking and doing light running in the shoe, the back quarter of the sole ripped right off and an adjacent piece is on its way. This is listed as a trail running shoe. Only buy if you need a comfortable shoe for walking the mall.

These fell apart after two months, and I mean it. The glue they used sucks. parts of the sole end up falling off.

These shoes began coming apart at the sole within a month of use. The arch support was not very good at all. Part of the rubber on the bottom of the shoe feel completely off. I have bought several shoes from Zappos but I am very disappointed with these. I will go back to buying Saucony, I have had very good results from them.

Puchased in September, losing the soles of the shoe (bad glue job) and inside lining is already wearing through.

Within a week of wearing the shoe for light trail running the glue on the toes failed and I was left with two floppy pieces of rubber on the front of my shoes. Around the 30th time i wore the shoes (the treads haven't been worn from use at all yet) 2 identical pieces of the sole came away from the bottom of the shoe. Again, it looks like the glue failed. Very disappointed in the shoes and won't buy a pair of Asics again.

These shoes do not fit, they are very uncomfortable. Think twice before you buy these. The size larger than normal does not fit. These are bad shoes.

Purchased this shoe in 4/2011 and ran on trails with them a few times and the cleats started falling apart. Definitely would not recommend this shoe for trail running. Contacted Zappos and had great customer service in helping replace this product.

Started off a great if not a little sloppy trail shoe. Would prefer a snugger fit. The kicker came when my entire heel fell off after running Boulder trails for half a summer. The netting and other trim are shredded. Don't really appreciate having to buy a new pair after only 3 months. What am I going to do without you Asics?

Previously posted a review recounting how a piece of the sole on the Gel-Kahana fell off after three days. I returned those and decided to order a second pair because they were so comfortable. After two weeks wearing the new pair the sole has torn away in a different location and other spots have started to separate. Clearly these shoes are not durable enough to be classified as trail running shoes. Fortunately Zappos has great customer service or I'd be really frustrated.
