This is one of the most flattering dresses I've ever worn. Like an earlier reviewer, I have it in purple and charcoal, and I'm contemplating the green too. With a range of shoes, boots, scarves, and jewelry, it works for casual or dressier situations. It might be shapeless on a different body type, but for me -- short, busty, smallish hips, short torso, long legs --it's perfect.

I love this dress! The fabric is wonderful, the color so earthy and it is great for hippy-ing out or dressing up with great boots. I ordered Wine and am now ordering both the other colors! I am 5'7" weigh 123 pound with a 34C or 36B and the small fits perfectly. It is highly recommend

Great dress and fabric feels soft and nice, can wear it casual and dress up a bit. I ordered a large, as I am 6ft tall and wear a size 12/14 (dreaded pear shaped body!) but I'm sending it back to exchange it for a Medium, as it was quite roomy at the top, and I think it will still be fine down around my hips. It was generous in length too - just above my knees (being tall, I find most dresses fall short/well above my knees). So great for tall people.

I have had a lot of compliments on this dress, many of them from women much younger than I am. So far I have worn it only at my government job. It is so comfortable that it would also be good for travel and stylish enough that I might wear it for dressy occasions. I am 5'2 and it falls right above the knee after I put it in the dryer.

Great dress! Comfortable and good looking. However, the cleavage is a bit low and the length is a bit long for my taste (right at the knee). Also, it runs a bit larger than the Oolong Horny Toad dress (I got both in small).

Fabric is so soft and really nice quality. This is an awesome dress for the price. Fit is incredibly flattering and can be dressed up with heels and gold jewelry or dressed down with flip flops. I absolutely love it - both sexy and classy. I am definitely going to purchase it in other colors.

I love this dress. The biggest problem is that I want to wear it every day and my friends will think I'm goofy! I initially ordered a medium but sent it back for a small because I wanted a more fitted dress. I'm 5'7", 130 pounds.

I agree with previous poster, dress looks way cuter on a real person than on the model. I am just under 5'5 and weigh around 130 and the size med works perfectly (maybe a little bit of a bell shape, but still flattering). The only thing I don't like are the 3/4 length sleeves (but I hate those on everything...I really don't see the point of this in-between sleeve length). I also think the fabric is a bit flimsy, but that is probably part of what makes it so comfortable. Dress (sleeves + fabric) is definitely not warm enough for winter (even in ATL), but is instead a super cute dress for spring and fall. I currently have the licorice (love it) and am ordering in another color.

Absolutely love this dress, and I'm working on getting one in every color! So far I have the red and the plum, and they are just awesome. Great colors, softest cotton, flattering cut/style. I wear mine with sassy boots and it just doesn't get any better! Love it! As far as sizing, I wear a women's 12 pants, and 8-12 tops (sometimes med, sometimes lg), and I got the large. Tried the medium at REI and it was a bit too snug. It did technically fit, but showed every bulge a girl wants to hide. I took my g-friend's advice and went with the large, and I'm not sorry I did. If you want a comfortable piece to dress up or down, don't miss this dress! As for Zappos, wonderful everything as always. They are the greatest thing since sliced bread. Friendly, fast. I actually enjoy interacting with customer service when it's necessary! They have figured out how to make internet shopping painless. Totally brilliant!

This is a great dress. The V neckline is a tad too deep for my needs. Otherwise, I love it. Sadly, I'm returning it.

I love this dress! The fit is perfect for a pear-shaped figure; the fabric is cool and ultra soft. Zappos' amazing service makes it a 5 star purchase.

I just received this dress in Power Purple which is a really nice, deep color, very flattering on me (I'm a 50 year old winter with dark hair and fair skin). I am 5'3" and 125 lbs, 34D bust. The small fits perfectly and falls right above the knee.

I love this dress; the fabric is a little too limp for my taste but it fits my NYC sensibilities very nicely. I'm extremely picky about my clothes and how they fit, so this was a good surprise.

One of my favorite brands! Relaxed but fitted enough for form. I wear a 6 or 8 and ordered a Medium, for a bit of a looser fit. I'm 5'6 and it hit just about my knee caps. Nice quality.

This really is a great looking dress! Fits very true to size and looks great on us busty women. I am 5'3", about 118 pounds and a 34D and the small is perfect. Comes to my knees exactly (would have preferred a bit shorter, but it looks great.) Fitted but loose in the middle, so very flattering.

I love this dress. So comfortable and pretty. Close fitting without being clingy; the fit is flattering. I only wish it were true black, not the brownish "licorice" color. I was tempted to go for another in red for the holidays.

Okay, but kind of blah. I'm a 5'7", 140#, 36D apple shape that usually finds deep v-necks with a less-fitted waist to be a fairly flattering style. This dress is fine, and seems well made, but isn't anything special. I'll be returning it.

I am a dress-only wearer, and this dress is a great substitute for jeans and a t-shirt any time! The color is very vibrant; fit is as shown, true to size. Washes great, too. Regular wash and dry flat or on a hanger, no iron required! Looks like new every time. Great multi-season find!

Nice fit, plain, but can dress up with a colorful scarf or fun shoes. Wrinkled in the wash, which is a bummer that I have to iron. Wear with tights and sweater in winter, no tights no sweater in Spring. Length is nice and work appropriate.

I love this dress! I'm 5'2 with an athletic build and bought a Medium - and the dress falls just right at the knee and skims over my back and behind nicely. I even bought a second one in another color. I machine washed and damp dried it, and was happy that it shrunk up in length just a bit. It's a go-to favorite with boots and a light, short sweater.

I wear a 6-8 on bottom and a 4-6 on top and the medium fit beautifully and is very flattering. I will probably buy 1-2 more in different colors. I plan on wearing it this fall with leggings or tights and tall boots. The fabric is SO soft. Other reviewers have noted that it is small-ish in the chest, and that is true. I am a big A/small B and it fits well, but if you are a C or bigger, the medium may be tight on top.

I just received this dress and the first thing I noticed was the color. It's not a deep black; almost a dark brown, grayish - but really nice. I am 5'7", 140 pounds and the medium fits perfectly; not too loose, not too slim. It hits me right at the top of my kneecaps. I really love this dress. I plan on wearing it the rest of the summer and into the fall with boots.

This dress is super comfy, looks great and is well priced. I only wish I had purchased the same dress in red, but alas it's now out of stock in medium. I wore it once with heels and pearls, and the next time with a chunky necklace and riding boots. It's that type of dress and very versatile. I will definitely check out other Horny Toad items.

Love it! I had an important date and nothing to wear, so I ordered this last minute in a medium and large. The medium fit very well and was very flattering. FYI, I'm normally an 8 to 10 depending on the brand/fit. My husband loved the dress, which I dressed up with some cute tights and heels. I think it will also look good with some sandals in the spring.
