Clarks Wallabees -
I like the look of the Wallabees and the low boot style made them nice for dress wear. The rubber sole makes them very comfortable and durable.

My son wears them to death!
I was stunned when my 18-year-old son asked for these shoes. The boys were wearing these shoes when I was in high school, and he'd be the first to say that was very long ago! Seems they're still the comfiest shoes around, and he's wearing them everywhere. Even his buddies are getting their own pair! True to size, true to history!

Wow this is like walking on air. These look nice with anything from the casual businessman to the rock star. Own a pair, you won't regret.

A shoe shaped like a foot!
1) I look at my foot.
2) I look at any other shoe.
3) I wonder why they are shaped so differently.
4) I look at my Wallabees, and imagine that, it is shaped like my foot! What a concept!
But I have very, very wide feet. So I need wide Wallabees. And I can't find them anywhere. The sole on my last pair is almost worn through, and I am in mourning.

Great Shoes!
These shoes are awesome. I have very wide feet and have trouble finding shoes that are comfortable and you can't beat these for comfort. They mold to your foot and have the softest soles of any shoes I have worn. As for the looks, you can't beat it as they go great with jeans and slacks. I wear them for litarlly all occassions. I will definitely be a clarks fan for a very long time.

Comfortable shoe -
My college age sons love this shoe. They say it is like wearing slippers. We live in New Orleans and when Mardi-Gras time rolls around, this is the only shoe they will wear. You see at Mardi-Gras, you have to walk alot to go visit all of your friends and party with them.

Old Wallabie style -
I grew up in the 60's and this was the best shoes out there. But I only paid less then $10.00 for this shoe. And cannot believe it is now $100.00 for the same exact shoe. I would love to have another pair but refuse to pay this price! I grew up on the beaches of California and these were the surfer shoes....

A note about sizing -
I normally wear a women's size 8 Medium.
I found that the women's version of this shoe in a size 8 was too tight in width but the men's size 6 was exactly the same length and .5" wider so they fit perfectly.
Zappos is definitely the way to buy shoes, they sent both pairs no charge, UPS next-day delivery and gave a free return with super quick refund on the first pair!

So Great, So Comfortable, So Cool!
I love to wear my Wallabees all the time. These shoes are so comfortable, I wear them around the house like slippers! I've never worn a shoe that is that comfortable before. I usually kick off my shoes as soon as I get through the front door, but not with my Wallabees! They feel great with or without socks. It's real cool to have shoes that are just as great indoors as they are outdoors. I also walk miles in them in my city, and the wear on them is minnimal. I'm sure I'll have my Wallabees for years to come.

Beware. There's no turning back from Wallabees -
My husband has been a Clarks Wallabee fan for DECADES. He wears almost nothing else, and has even dedicated a webpage to the things.
For years, he felt like an outsider wearing these shoes, but a few years ago a kid in a bowling alley complimented him on their coolness. Ugly is back!
They seem like an expensive addiction, but worthwhile given their comfort and longevity. Some longtime Clark's fans will gripe about the small changes in craftsmanship, but they're still wonderful, long-lasting shoes.

Watch out for width...
They need to add wide sizes. However...they are too long and narrow for "some" feet...namely, mine. 'Wish there were more options.

Walk In My Wallabees, not!
Best shoe yet! Wallabees are the best shoes. My first pair I bought in Europe back in 1978 lasted me for 6 years, believe it or not. When I came to the States, I just could not find these shoes anywhere. I just found a Clarks store here in Texas, and ran into them. WOW! I bought 3 pairs! My wife said I was crazy until she tried on a pair and walked around in them. I then told her you never know a man until you walk in his Wallabees. She then said, "I want a pair." In turn I told her, "I can not help you, darling, they're mine, all mine." I also bought two pairs from Zappos.com, too. free shipping is a good deal. Darn, I have enough Wallabees for a lifetime now.

It's odd that these feel so good straight out of the box. The pair I recently purchased felt as good as my older pair as soon as I slipped them on. I hadn't thought of buying another pair until I read the views of the other fanatics on here, and now I'm no better than the rest of you guys. Now, I just need to scheme a way to justify buying another pair. I don't have black yet. Maybe that should be my angle.

I'm Hooked!
I just got my pair today (by the way 1 day free priorty shipping I LOVE THIS STORE!!!) and i'm hooked. I always wanted a pair of Wallabees ever since I heard Wu-Tang talk about them. I bought a pair of bargin brand knockoffs a long while ago in the fake sand suede and I hate them. They're so uncomfortable. When I got my official Clarks today they felt so damn comfortable like I wasn't wearing any shoes at all, or like a slipper. I got the brown leather and they look great they go with everything I have. I love these shoes, I love this shoe store. Next I'm getting the sand suede color.

My guy is hot in his Wallabees!
As another reviewer pointed out: These shoes were commonplace on mid-70s college campuses. I always liked guys with these shoes. Well, I married a guy wearing them. Hmmm... I don't think he wore a pair on our wedding day with his tux, but probably the last time I saw him without them. Too bad they didn't have the black leather ones back then. He's a suede guy. They were hard to find for a long time and he has worn holes in the soles in a few pairs. In early 90s we splurged when ordering through a local dealer having them shipped from England getting several pairs. Now we are running out of that stockpile, but now there is the Web to do on-line ordering. YEAH!
They are comfie thus making your hubby be in a happier mood, so I recommend all ladies get their loves at least one pair. Plus they just look HOT! His head might not be the same as the 70s (HA!), but his feet are the same! ;-)

Yard man shoes my yute
The most comfortable shoes ever. I first saw my friend from Capetown, South Africa wearing these things and I thought that they were odd until I found out that it is a big style amongst Jamaicans and West Indians. My Friend from S.A. has every color. I bought a pair and then wore them on a hard surface and it feels like a slipper, it's so comforteble. It feels like I am walking on a pillow or something. I got the black leather high tops. leather because it holds up the best and you can alway polish them up and keep 'em lookin like new. I will soon get every color Wallabees ever made.

Let me just say that this shoe is absolutly amazing... I am completely satisfied. I just purchased the brown oily leather ones..and they look great with jeans (only some jeans though, but basically the ones I got) and cords..these are the onyl shoes I will be buying from now on

durability, versatility & comfort
I've worn my sand suede wallabees with anything from dress pants, shirt & tie to jeans.
I bought them in the late 70's, and beleive it or not I'm wearing the same pair right now.

Easily the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have the dark mustard coloured shoes and they look best when worn with old jeans, bootcut or flared of course. These shoes are worth the asking price. Have to be tried to be believed! Timeless classic.
