It's a great bag. Fits well and is easy to carry. It's not hard on my shoulders or back. Love it.

I am very impressed with this backpack. It is just the right size for my needs. IPad, notebook and files all fit along with a lot of extra space for all my other stuff.

Got this bag for my daughter--a teacher--and she really likes it. Uses it to communte on the bus to her job. Says it's just the right size, not too big or heavy, loves the bungee cords on front to hold a jacket or sweater. Also the padded sleeve inside for her iPad. Got the NF Surge for my son-in-law, which is much bigger and heavier.

This is a outstanding backpack! I am pleased with the color, quality and design. Our family loves to travel and this little backpack will be joining us to our next adventure...Tokyo, Japan!

Good bag. Definitely on the smaller side though. Laptop no bigger than 15 inch. Less room for books than previous back packs that I have owned.

I purchased the orange version of the backpack for Christmas for my boyfriend. It was the perfect size as he didn't want to use it for overnight hiking or climbing trips but just for daily kayaking excursions. If you're a first time buyer and you're wondering about size think about a pillow fitting in the pack. He loves the bag and the colors are great.

I needed a bag to carry around my laptop and this bag was exactly what I needed. For daily laptop totting and air travel, this bag does a great job. The bag's hardened back panel provides excellent back support.

Picked this backpack up for my 14 year old son. He loves it.

This is a great looking and functioning bag. It's high quality. But be forewarned. I did not heed the advice of others. This bag is small. Length and height-wise, the bag is fine. I'm not a big fan of those large bags. But this bag lacks depth. I have a Mac Book Air, 2 legal pads, a 1 inch binder and a text book that is about 1.25" thick. Those contents are tight in this bag. It's so tight, I'm afraid my laptop is getting crushed. Finally, I suffer from lower back pain and this bag has a stiff back which feels great when I wear it. I haven't decided whether I will keep it or return it.

I love this backpack, and the brown herringbone style looks very classy. Sometimes my books are a little tight in there, but I have been able to fit everything I need so far; computer, three notepads, and a text book.

This has been a fantastic bag for me. I bought it primarily for books, but also as a day pack. It fits all my books and considering I typically have one of the heavier looking bags on campus I think that means most students would find it more than adequate. I also carry my iPad with keyboard case in addition to the books. I think those folks who think it is small must be law students with unusually large legal books or must carry larger laptops. I am a geology/biology dual major and so far this pack has been a great compliment to my studies. It is very comfortable for my small stature and made well with good, strong zippers. The only possible negative is that the padding that protects you from the books may prove warm on a hot Utah day in the desert. Good luck in your studies!

True, this backpack may seem to have a small internal compartment but it's all about they way you pack it! I'm a second year college student and I can easily take with me enough homework material to last me hours in the library on those last minute Sunday nighters. It looks and feels great and I get a lot of random compliments on it!

I was looking for a medium-sized backpack for everyday use. I have to carry a 15'MBP and light stuffs such as small binders, papers and water bottle. This bag holds these well and very comfortably on my back. I carried same stuffs with a messenger bag, but it felt much heavier. The built quality is excellent, and it is also nice looking. Highly recommended!

I absolutely love this! I got the blue and orange one just last week and it is fantastic! I bought it for a four month trip across Southeast Asia and I wanted something durable and roomy as a carry on. It is perfect! Holds everything, from my 15" macbook pro to my shoes and clothes from the gym. It is also awesome because even when it is not full it does not look awkward and empty (I hate that). This is a great backpack, made in great quality. That is absolutely worth the money!

This is sleek, simple and a great fit for a 17" laptop and then some. The adjustable side pouches definitely add utility and are not limited to water bottles.

First of all, wow! I ordered this backpack at 9:40PM and it was out for delivery at 8:30AM. Amazing! Very nice quality! One important thing to note is it barely fits a 15.5 inch wide screen laptop in the padded pocket.

I like this bag. It lets me walk without pain. I have scoliosis and back problems. Only think though, there needs to be a map describing all of the features, what all those pockets and the elastic on the front is!

Hi you all at Zappos, literally the best website out there for everything we need! First I would like to thank you for getting me this great backpack in under 24 hours as I did call you last night at about this time and it arrived this afternoon. I needed it asap and it is here, and I am loving it! The bag is not only comfy on my shoulder, it is big enough for my new MacAirbook with great padding in it. Lots of room but not bulky, very cool looking for travel or even an everyday purse with lots of stuff to carry around. I would highly recommend North Face as it is my favorite brand for everything, jackets, etc. and Zappos has the best choices, but also the best staff. Keep up the fantastic service and keep all those good people working there, I wish everyone was as nice as you guys are! And again, having the backpack in hand as I was talking to your rep. sure helped me make a simple decision. You guys rule!

This has to be the most versatile backpack out there (outside pockets, bungee cords, padded pocket for your laptop, and more). I gifted it to my brother-in-law for Christmas. My mother-in-law says he loved it and and that it's getting a lot of use. I bought one for myself a year ago and it still looks good.

Just a perfect backpack on a college campus. There isn't too much space in this backpack, but it's perfect for a laptop and two notebooks. Has a lot of compartments to keep everything organized. Definitely not a backpack for traveling with a lot of stuff, but one for campus day to day life.

This is a great backpack. Is is not so wide to be annoying. Rather it is comfortable and very light.

I originally ordered the orange one, and I sent it back because I did not like the color in person. I think my monitor made it look nice and bright orange but in person it was rather dark. I traded for the green and grey one. Regardless, this is a nice pack. My 15" Thinkpad fits, only just... There are lots of pockets and things, and the quality of the product is excellent. I like that you can hide the waist straps if you want, and I really like the softness of the back of the pack, as well as the shoulder straps. I recommend it!

I love this backpack. It is way more stiff than backpacks I have had in the past...but I like it. My 17" laptop fits okay without any terrible effort. Normal sizing, not any larger or smaller than expected. Has an American Chiropractic Assoc. approval tag on it...funny.
