Customer Reviews Patagonia Nano Puff® Jacket

Purchased this at an end of season sale in spring 2012 for my son to take on a trip to Germany in the summer and to take to college in the NC mountains this fall. He practically lives in it! It is perfect for cool days over a t-shirt and for colder days can be layered over a sweater or flannel shirt. He can also layer it under his Patagonia rain jacket for cold rainy days or snow days!

I was a bit disappointed with this jacket. For one thing, it's too thin and extremely light. The picture doesn't really show it obviously but once you feel it, it's there. I think given this jacket is grossly overpriced given its lightness. It feels more like even the linen of a light jacket or a light sweater, but definitely not outer jacket for the winter. Compared to a very similar puffy jacket from The North Face, the North Face comes way ahead--and for a much lower price. Quite frankly with Patagonia products I feel that 50% of what you pay is the brand name itself--unlike The North Face, Marmot, or other similar products in the same league.
